Per Jay Brewer: THE most anticipated halftime drill performance, the four-way cross-through! (I saw one guy bump shoulders with somebody at the cross. Also, there are a couple of guys in the mix who were not playing instruments, they were only marching. They apparently acted as formation fillers.) For many years, the Strategic Air Command March has been played for the end-of-season four-way cross-through. Using that one tune comprises Institutional Knowledge -- everyone is so familiar with playing the music, they can focus on their marching.
