These guys need bagpipes !! YES they do.
During Bonfire construction 1971 - 1974, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" was one of the pop-radio tunes regularly played over the loudspeakers, comforting the cadets who were slaving to assemble the Stack at all hours. (One fall, there was a fish Black from some outfit who could perfectly impersonate Johnny Cash. He was called away frequently from his Stack work to the Commo Shack, to sing, a cappella, Johnny Cash songs for everyone. He was fantastic...)
Is the FTAB going to practice for their performance against Auburn?
The Last Corps Trip has always elicited an emotional response for me, the finality that we all face, the love we all have for each other and the university that we love. Excellent video, thank you.
Great marching tune.
Wow! This band has gotten much bigger than the last time I saw them!
Proud mom of Cadet Monast and mom of two Aggies ♥️♥️
The SA reborn...
Marcus Roberts you're becoming quite the *"good-video" rock star!* Thank you for posting and have a good week.
🤡🤡🤡
A&M will lose to Texas by 20 points
We will see. Good luck
And yet you are here watching Band/Corps videos
"We ARE the Corps of Cadets." There were about 11,000 other A&M students there, when I was in the Corps. We pretty much considered them irrelevant -- sleazy frat-rats, and air-headed cookie pushers. Drive on.
We heard in the background a woman say something like, "I don't know how many days and years I've sat right here watchin' this Band." Maybe she is carrying on for Miss Ruth of the College Station Holliday Inn, who devotedly comforted homesick, hazed Corps fish over a number of years -- and routinely attended Aggie Band drill practice on the Field behind Dorm 11, an enthusiastic spectator from the bleachers there. (Quick question: Is there ANY other college band in the world that draws such devotees to its performance rehearsals? [ahem.] )
Between all their school work, commitment to the Corps and yes all their duties of being a member of the FTAB they definitely have a full plate.
Whoop!
Thank you so much for sharing
Awesome work!!!
It's great to see the Band folks attire themselves as they do when they're back in their home towns.
That is how we always came out for march to midnight yell practice 50 years ago
We were right across from you, on the stairs! If I would have known, I would have said hi and thanked you in person for putting these clip up. Thanks again
Beautiful!
This is my favorite college band ever....and I'm a Longhorn.
I say again, the quality of their music is exemplary. Compare this rendition of "Under the Double Eagle" to any of its band/march versions on iTunes, and you can't tell any difference at all. They sound like they're in a recording studio.
Prepping for the game on the morrow (Nov. 16) -- which the Aggies will definitely win. Everyone in Kyle Field will be cheering for the Aggies.
Nice drill. Glad to hear some different marches played for a change.
I guess practice makes perfect.
Thank you for sharing!!!
That is THE most abbreviated War Hymn opening I have EVER seen. "Under the Double Eagle" is a fantastic old march melody.
Thanks!
I really appreciate the Support!
You guys are amazing. Thank you for your hard work! Always watching from Jax FL.
Always love to see FTAB Pratices!
I think it’s cool y’all get to do this. We never did. L-2 ‘84
But if they can't do it, you will.
We did this once when I was a Senior. The Cav horses were employed to form an "A" and an "M" beside the Block T. I believe that was the last and only time horses were included in this exercise, for reasons one can guess.
Does anyone have a gopro POV video. That would be awesome to see.
Get those stupid twats out of the way!
big and brassy but can you sing it?
Always impressed with these marching bands.
I love the tradition🇺🇸🇺🇸
Still impressive and thank you 🙏👏👏👏. 👋☮️
I always had taps on my low quarters. I love that sound.
Pathetic!
Just got to wonder how many conservative Texas A&M Corp supporters also promote the far-right Texas Secession movement? Those folks don't seem to realize that the Corp is just a glorified ROTC unit of the U.S. military, funded by the U.S. government, staffed and administered by that same U.S. government, and who's graduates are ultimately "hired" by the same U.S. government they want to distance themselves from. If the State of Texas should ever decide to seceed (it's not "SUCCEED" as many proponents seem to think!) from the U.S. and become The Republic of Texas (RoT) again, the ROTC (Corp) program at Texas A&M, and every other University in the state would be disbanded virtually overnight! Certainly food for thought!
Took that L.......
Oh definitely not the band
Go Cocks! LOL
They the same. Amazing.
Thank you for sharing!
I love the sound of taps on shoes. I always had them on my low quarters
Nice to hear the theme from "Patton".
Excellent band.
I love horses and as a retired rural schoolteacher with grandfathers on both sides of my families who were farmers, I love this so much. Texas A&M Lady Cadets, you are a breath of fresh air!
My dad was a WWII Vet and although he is now deceased he would have been so proud of these young men and women of color who are attending this school now. A lot of military schools were not racially inclusive during WWII but you folks at Texas A&M have succeeded in taking a risk to do the right thing and complete this ongoing mission.
Wonderful 🙏🏻
