From my understanding it's similar but not entirely the same. I think this type of synthesis builds on the concepts of phase distortion synthesis, but I have a pretty limited technical understanding of the differences.
To be honest I don't really understand why they called it a holographic synthesiser, but it's the word they used to describe their own product which is why I used it in the video!
Great explanation. If someday Ableton have idea to rebuild their UI they should hire people from FORS .
Totally! I love the FORS UIs. So clean and friendly.
100%
Favorite developer fors, big kudos, good tutorial too
Fors definitely makes some awesome stuff! :D
Good vid - nicely done
Thank you!
So nice! Could you view other Fors stuff(such as Opal)? This footage is effective for me to overlook it! Your explanation is very understandable :)
I would love to look at the other Fors stuff, I'll definitely think of checking them out. :D
The 1st sine wave you played is the beginning of “Burning In The Midnight Lamp” - Jimi Hendrix 😅.
Ha, awesome!
@@matttinklermusic great song
I need!
It's such an awesome synth!!
Is this similar to phasedistortion like in a casio cz?

Often all this cool modulation ends up like sounding quite farty...
Most synth waveforms when played at lower frequencies can end up sounding like that. 😂
this word holographic, I do not think it means what you think it means

Perfect overview! Well done and thanks so much!
Glad you found it to be a good overview! I've been really loving this synth so much lately and it's great to be able to share it with people. :)
