I actually have a couple ideas that may help on this prop. Why not super glue the envelope to the hole card before putting it in? That would help with the whole piece moving back in when you slide it up. Also, maybe putting some invisible tape along the seam of the two cards and up the one side of the card that doesn’t have the plastic covering it, that way one both sides are shiny instead of one shiny side and one matte side. Or even laminating the hole card? Not sure any of that is a good idea but I figured I’d offer it anyway.

I haven’t tried to build this yet but wouldn’t it be possible to tape the white card with the whole to the blackout card so you could slide them back and forth without the blackout card staying in the exposed position? I’m sure there’s a reason why that wouldn’t work but just throwing it out there till I try it out
