So question and HBD, is there some editing here, the trick from the start is not the same you showed how to do, in the start you do see the tear and the cut out piece, different from what you explained.
@@louiethepitt hmmmm, thought I noticed some funky cuts too. Regardless, I'm appreciative for LB sharing it but yeah...
If you practice placing the gimmicked corner when you are about to start the tear, you could let the spectator hold the card when they sign the front, then inspect the whole card. Then you attach the gimmick corner to their card as you prep the tearing illusion so they know their card wasn't a trick one. This also does away with the force.

A very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my friend. Since finding you on TH-cam, I have devoured every single episode. I have tried(& failed sometimes) most of the tricks,as I try & perform them for my beautiful little granddaughter (she's 8) as she loves trying them out herself. We have both sat & watched many an episode together & it's our own special time together. She's starting to really get interested in magic,as she loves "showing off" what she has learnt etc. I really hope she carries on with it. I really want to thank you personally, for giving me something to focus on,as I've had a rough time lately,with 1 thing & another & it really does take my mind off things,watching & learning from such a great person(that you are mate). As soon as I'm able,I will be buying all the little bits & pieces that I need,so I can try & perform them in the care home I work in,as I know it will entertain them & lift their spirits up(if it makes them happy,then I'm happy to do it) .
