Heaven Torn Asunder (Cradle of Filth Cover)

This one takes me back to 1997 when I was first learning to play. One of the best songs from Cradle of Filth's best album in my opinion.
I don't have a girl with a British accent to do the "The most August sorcerers of Hades..." part, so I improvised a clean rhythm and lead to replace it and the piano playing that I'm not good at doing. In addition to being a lousy bassist, I'm a pretty lousy keyboard player too.
I managed to tear open the skin on my ring finger playing bass, you'll see it at the end. And the notes I hold up read "Joey D made this beer. Om nom nom". I look pretty stupid, for some reason I thought I needed to write it backwards for the camera to read it.

Amazing cover, but as a lefty, why use right-handed guitar & bass? And why that weird pick grip?

I learned to play on my brother's guitar, he is right-handed and I am not so I could not restring it. When I finally got my own I decided to keep it that way because I had been playing for a bit and did not want to teach myself a second time. I stabilize my picking hand with my little finger around the pickup and I have an unconventional angle and attack on the strings because they are upside-down. That is why my grip is what it is. Seems to work well enough for me but everyone is different.

I use an older version of Corel Videostudio, I think it's X5? Anyways I just create multiple overlays and each one is a different angle.
