- Murchison, a spot we've not been on our travels, full of rivers, and quiet places, which is what we like. There's way more exploring to be done in the river, but we were a bit restricted by weather... We checked out the buller gorge, and the local school, as well as Maruia falls. Part of winter travel is dealing with the elements, the cold and the wet, which we are pretty well adjusted to. there's a lot to do in this spot, we didn't film it all, but we'd happily return in the summer especially for some of the great swimming spots.

More fun adventures. Back in the day they tried tunnelling through the Peninsula where that swing bridge goes to a diverting the river for gold mining. Apparently lots of gold in there. It's a neat place to explore.
I saw some signs about that tunnel, or potential tunnel, pretty awesome spot, would be cool to raft down that river.
Jetboated up to that water fall for a bbq once...a lot more water coming over back then... So many great rivers around there...😁🤟😎
Oh that sounds like fun, there are a lot of river's and they have some great looking swimming holes in them as well... Might have to stop in during summer.
@@leopardsgowild it's like a meeting point for a lot of rivers there.. I was amazed when we got to jetboat up a number of them with special permission how beautiful the area really is there's so many hidden spots..😁

If you’re heading down the coast via Reefton, might I suggest Nelson Creek campground. Turn off just before Ngahere. Well signposted. non-DOC, donation camp.
Shower, toilets, water and some great walks on old logging railways including the odd tunnel. 👍
Nelson creek looks awesome, saw that spot on Adventures with rosy, we are heading into the cold though, down in to canterbury and Otago... I'm hoping we'll get back to the west coast, there are some awesome spots around there.
That bridge is a no, no for me. You paid 40 dollars to cross? They would have to pay me a couple thousand for me to cross. Love your videos. I bet tourism has increased in NZ since your channel has started.
I know $40 is a bit expensive, considering there are a lot of these bridges around the country which are completly free.... We live in a great part of the world. Hope it's not to hot over there for ya.
Another great video Mike. Didn’t realise there was so much to do in and around Murch. Tooth ache is the pits and alway come on at the most inconvenient time.
theres a few other things in the area we didn't film as well, I think 6 mile creek and the skyline walk... I felt a bit crippled with my dental pain

That swing bridge 😱, I went on a small one and had to wait for people to get across it before I could attempt it. Not good with heights at all…

I can tell you they both crossed that bridge more than 3 times, So I don't think there was much fear there. Please let me know the next time you go to the dentist lol, I had no luck with community services card either... More Soph on camera, and more riley narrating. Team leopard.

Awww man I feel your pain! Last year my wife and I went down to Queenstown for a holiday and 3 days in i got a terrible toothache and had to get it extracted. Worse pain I’ve felt .
tooth pain and back pain are so bad, you can't do anything when it gets full on... amazing how you can cruise through life until you get nerve pain
Great and not to expensive dentists in Cromwell. But Westport and greymouth should have dentists. Great part of NZ . We are planning to stay a year or more down south as soon as our MH is fixed.
good to know mate... I think I have another tooth which needs a filling, dentists are so expensive though, easy to push it off, but the problem just becomes worse...

Tooth ache, almost the worst experience 😢 another great video, we like the Murchison area, there's a few backcountry drives worth doing with lots of high bridges to drop rocks off, when they hit the water they make a good boom
it's a cool area, I was keeping an eye out for that spot you sent me ages ago... Lots of cool spots, can only show so much in a video, we enjoyed the 6 mile creek didn't get up the skyline walk, but some epic swimming holes in the area.

@@leopardsgowild We have our Matariki noho marae at Owhata marae next weekend, still so much to do, we hope the weather stays well, so that the lanterns that light up Te Kuku o te Manawa will guide the way to our Hautapu at the top, it’s my favourite holiday too, so going to extra mile to ensure it will be awesome!🤩 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩And there was a drone show at the lake front, and again āpōpō, so we might go to that! music is all from music bed, it's a paid subscription to use on youtube, but any one can access it, you just can't use it for financial benefit. Europe sounds amazing, and warm.

Hey there awning must be about 6 or 7 metres long brand is Dometic and came with the caravan so unsure of price... Mouth is feeling much better, that experience was horrendous

I'm a self declared savoury tooth lol... I think more frequent trips to the dentist are in store... When I went 2 years ago they said this tooth could cause some problems down the track... I'm getting old...

That swing bridge is a complete ripoff. The guy there is a grumpy old git. Do not recommend. You have been warned.
It is a bit pricey we enjoyed the walks and had the place to ourselves, but you can do very similar things for free along the west coast
