Don't get caught without it. 🙂
I was right there with you until the end ... no need to ever buy a jerk bait, especially a $25 one ... lol. if you can only have one bait forever it's the stick bait by an order of magnitude. If we're not going to talk about 'must haves's WRT baits then #5 has to be jumper cables or better yet one of those emergency power banks
Get yall a lure retriever too! Another great thing to have, will save u tons of money. I like them pliers. Look like they had split ring tool at the end.
I just picked one up and I’m in love with the thing lol
Excellent commercial to sell your products.👍 surprised you didn’t include some beef jerky.
Livescope is definitely on my must have list.
Another item to add, specifically for Scopers...some type of glass cleaner.. if their FFS screens get too dirty to see, they'll have to pack up & go home
I feel the collective intelligence in this thread has dropped because we all had to read this.
🤣😂now that right there is funny!
Good video. I'm a big fan of having a diamond dusted hook file for touching up hook points on the water. Wouldn't leave home without it.
# 1 item in my boat (besides fishing gear) is a sharp, readily accessible, pocket knife. Invaluable!
I just got a nice offset needle nose plier, such a nice grip on the hook, easy on my wrists and early arthritis.
You for got a 9mm.
Yes, Randy where did you get those fishing pliers? Those in your link are totally different.
Where did you get those pliers Randy?
I would also recommend simple everyday stuff like nail clippers, cheap braid snips, super glue and permanent makers.
I just placed a small 50 doller order from TW got some of that dye, didn't forget to use your code.
Thx Jim much appreciated!
I used to do the rod sleeve thing but they don’t help much if any imo I just put them away in the boat now and haven’t had any issues going on like ten plus years now without using them and I’m using very high end stuff. The thing that gets rash in my lockers are the reels banging together not the rods so I just wrap them now with towels when I travel
A rapala came out of a heavy bass right at the boat and hit me in the face last week at Chickamauga. I'm super lucky I had glasses on I had no time to react at all.
Thanks Randy great tips!
thanks again Randy...great tips!
If I could only pick 5 must have items, I would at least have to exchange the jerkbait for a roll of high quality toilet paper off this list.
😂 That is some funny shit!!
Absolutely.. never know when you might have to take an aqua dump
Ken Smith had a long pair of cutters to cut barb off a gut hooked fish and save the fish. Also Mountain Dew will stop a gill hooked fish from bleeding. A thermometer to cool livewell temp only 10 deg F with ice to keep fish alive in hot weather. 10 deg F only because when turn loose. Fish can't tolerate more than a 10 degree rise in temperature.
You forgot the most important thing, jumper cables
Those weren't sold by Tackle Warehouse or a sponsor.

Sort of off topic, but when changing out treble hooks. Do you put hook on o-ring first, then onto lure... or put split ring on lure first, then put hook on? Thanks in advance. 🤙
Thread the new hook on as you pull the old one off.
Personally, I put the split rings on 1st..then hook
I heard it's best to change out split rings whenever you change out hooks, probably not always necessary but wouldn't hurt.
Sounds like guys spend more time and money trying to modify lures to make them work better than they do fishing, I caught about 18 bass the other morning with a top water popper that I probably bought at Walmart for a dollar 2.98 7 years ago, that I usually store in one of my cup holders.
Actually had a treble on a jerkbait bend out last weekend on a ten plus pounder. My fault I know, drag was set almost all the way tight. 🤦♂️😫 Usually don't use that setup for jerkbaits. Also I've found lures with them rusted off, and replaced with Eagle Claw trebles... worked great actually. 🤙
Thanks Randy, I make sure I have Benadryl strips in my first aid kit too. They can be a life saver. say you are cruising across the lake and a hornet hits you and stings you on the face or neck. Before you know it, you can have an allergic reaction and need Benadryl. cool thing about the strips, they dissolve in your mouth. you do not need to swallow them like a pill. if you are going into anaphylaxis, your throat might be closing up and swallowing a pill becomes impossible. Just a small thing to add to any boat kit.
Rain gear, buff, tool kit, flashlights? 12 volt Keurig coffee maker ?
I know jerkbaits are a critical part of bass fishing, but I haven't caught over a handful of bass on them in the waters I fish....
2 outa 5 ain't bad I guess. Love you brother, is that jerk bait worth it? Convince me please. What is you go to color? I don't have a jerk bait I value like that. I'll give your #1 pick a shot and if I agree it would be 3 outa 5. Peace
6) FFS
Battery booster box.
A rod sleeve is more important than a lure retriever 😂😂
you deserve way more subs !!!!!

Worst infomercial since the Sham-Wow guy. And his was good bad because it was hilarious.
FFS?? LOL
Good lord, clean those glasses. Geez!
The most important 5 items you only need to catch fish. Keep it real simple and don’t over due fishing.
1. Rod
2. Reel
3. Line
4. Hook
5. Lure
Toilet paper
Cheap rod, cheap reel, soft plastic worm, umbrella, cheap sunglasses.
Come on Randy. This is just a plug to sell stuff. Every angler “must have” a $30 jerk bait? 🙄
This video is kinda pointless tbh...this is all common sense. Do I need lures to go fishing???
