I love my Commander XR. Same family of guns so I feel this is a relevant comment. Absolutely dependable, and so consistent that, given it's a 30fpe gun, shot predictability is so intuitive because it doesn't do weird stuff ever. Also at the price, now anyway, I think they are the best deal on the market. The commander that is. 160 bar reg, I get 33 fpe, 16, 18 and 21.14 gran Laser to 50 yards. and again, it's predictable. It''ll shoot the redesigns at 800 fps, and accurately, but at that speed, it's a lofty pellet to use, The Barracuda matches are my favorite @855. The transfer port allows you to dumb it down to use the falcons on calm days and get a ton of shots, Very versatile dependable well-made heirloom quality gun. The only gun so far that has never let me down, even when I counted it out by overlooking it for more powerful options. I'm glad I broke down and went back to it. It also shoots the 17.5 and 20.2 NSA slugs excellent. .216 or .2165. no bigger in diameter. AA16 grain, AA18 grain, 21.14 barracuda and barracuda 18's, The Falcons, and light slugs. very versatile. No reason to mess with anything once set because you have the transfer port switch. For the ranger. I'd stick with the 16 grain to 40 yards or so. My friend has one it's the same thing just 18fpe. Both bought from AOA. If I lost my Commander, I would get another one. Something I wouldn't say for most guns I've bought.
Nice video Rick, very informative! Always nice to break out the carbines now & again. I have a Nate Chrony too but the voice mine has sounds very different & crazy fast. Is it possible to change it?
I've found the more you advance in your hobby like RC the less fun you have. Speed takes the fun out of it even though you don't realize it. I have no desire for higher priced air rifles past my AvengeX. That doesn't mean I don't find them all interesting and like watching your channel, I do.
Hi Rick, wanted to write this message to you. I like watching your videos. Myself I shoot airguns with lead pellets. When i watch your videos I see you touch pellets and then touching your face. Without making a big thing but, we need to be careful with touching and working with lead. Please take care and continue with the great videos.
16 Grain AA or FX 16 grain pellets for that gun it's a tack driver at that range. I think it's a disservice to the quality and accuracy of this gun to be using such heavy ammo and I mean that with all due respect. This is not an insult to the test, or tester, but I know this gun, and these results are unrepresentative of its capability and intended use.

I wonder why I don't see much about the copper plated pellets and their accuracy. Copper plating is common in higher velocity 22 LR rounds.
