- Another one of my older compilations, now with improved editing. When I watched my original compilation, I thought of many things I would do differently now than what I used before; hence, I decided to make a new version. And fyi, I was thinking on which version of the Mario 3 Airship to use, and I went with the Mario Maker remix because I love that track!

I know this thought came from me misreading the title, but imagine if we lived in a world where sega remastered the Sonic Shuffle game for current consoles. Anyway, great work man!

Sonic, even way back in its conceptual days, was partly designed as the anti-Mario. Mario, both as a character and franchise, is designed to be as ubiquitous as possible to fit in any genre/ situation the developers imagine for each game.
With Mario spin-offs, the main design objective is fitting Mario into the conventions of each genre. With the best Sonic spin-offs, it takes those genres and reconfigures them around the best aspects of the mainline titles, which is exactly why the worst of them are fundamentally so anti-Sonic (Sonic Labyrinth bring the best example).

Weird enough, this was made by Hudson, the developers of Mario Party.
This was probably an experiment to differentiate the game from MP but I don’t think it worked.
It sure would be a shame if someone dropped something on Amy...
