    Think positive Chelsey, I know it’s hard to do especially for a younger person like yourself, but you need the hormone therapy and babe needs a mother. I’m sure it will all balance out in the long run. Love to you all. Keep your chin up,

    I am also on a break after a year of taking it. I was on a hormone patch before my stage 1 breast cancer diagnosis. I feel so bad that I want to go back on the patch. I have just been prescribed physical therapy for the joint and muscle pain. I don't really think it is going to help. I can't make people understand, even my doctors, how bad I feel, physically and mentally. Sending healing vibes and hugs to you. You are so brave!

      @littletime100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My Dr. did not mention a patch, Does that work the same as the other hormone therapies'? I seen my Dr's assistant and she seemed so much more understanding about the drug effects, more than the Dr. I was disappointed at first that I had to see her because of the Dr. not having any appts available soon but happy that I did, I feel like I learned more from her than I had from the Dr. I had to be my own advocate and get in because calling the nurse, got me no where. Keep trying🥰

      The patch I mentioned is the Climara Pro patch.

      Thank you so much for your healing vibes and hugs💕! I'm sorry that you are dealing with this too, know that you aren't alone in how you feel... it is SO hard and so hard for others to understand😔. In my personal experience adding a collagen supplement to my routine helped my joint pain, if interested make sure to clear it with your medical team first, just a thought. Sending so much love and healing vibes right back🌱💫!

    Oh Chelsey, I am so sorry you are facing such a challenge. Try to remember that you are in a different time and place. Your little boy and the joy he brings you may prevent the darkness you had before his arrival. Motherhood brings its own challenges and struggles and you have extra on your plate now. Give yourself grace, ask for help, and take time for you. There are angels who walk among us and are there when we call out to them. Love will see you through this. T

    Thank you for sharing! I am due to begin Tamoxifen in August after I finish with a year of Kadcyla. My hot flashes just abated two weeks ago from my heavy chemo which ended last August--so took about 9 months. I too will enjoy the reprieve until starting T. Please keep us posted on how you're doing as you begin this again.

    Thank you so much for sharing your experience. The fears you’re having are perfectly normal. It sounds like you have a wonderful husband. Your boy knows how much you love him. There are resources to help with emotions. Above all be patient and kind with yourself. This is not an easy journey. Has your doctor talked to you about aromatase inhibitors? The only thing about these is they would need to put you in medical menopause and you cannot have more children. Also, I don’t know very much about the side effects of these medications. I know the joint pain and bone thinning is bad. Praying for you

    Chels, firstly it feels odd giving a thumbs up to this video but please understand it's for the content and not because I am happy you are going through this struggle. I know for myself, being a saved Christian has gotten me through some things that would have been disabilitating had they happened before I was saved. I came to Christ as my Lord and Saviour later in life, but it has made all the difference. Do I still have problems? Yes indeed, sometimes more than before, but the difference is I can go to my Saviour for strength and guidance as His child..the child of The King. I live remotely and will probably never see my Mom or siblings again on this earth. But given that the saved have eternity together has made this soo much easier to bear! I was able to get thru my Father's cancer diagnosis and death knowing we will be together again in heaven where nothing will part us ever again. I did not have this security before I found my salvation in Christ. It has made decisions with my family regarding my health a bit easier knowing that even if it is my time to go home to be with the Lord, my children and spouse will see me again. Yes, many decisions are difficult but I have that security of tomorrow belonging to the Lord and everything being in His perfect timing. May God help us all on our journeys to remember this is not all there is. Hugs and compassion to you Chels as you and your family bravely face the challenges ahead. Remember you are not alone. He is there. Reach out. ❤❤❤

I’m so sorry to hear about your previous experience with it. I hope this next round is better for you. Have you tried taking any kind of antidepressant with Tamoxifen? I really want to have kids, too. My dr said I have to be cancer free after radiation is complete. He said I could pause tamoxifen also. But, what I think is ironic is that tamoxifen is also an ovulation inducer, but we can't try to get pregnant on tamoxifen. I actually did an ovulation test yesterday and it was almost positive. I haven't had a period since December thanks to chemo. Oh, my mastectomy is May 31st! Eeeeeek!

    • @ChelseyTarnow

      It really is ironic... and heavy on the heart at times. I never ever thought to take an ovulation test, that is really interesting especially since you haven't had your period since December! Eeeeee, your surgery is coming up soon... how are you feeling about it?

      I take anastrozole and I only have achy knees, so I consider myself lucky. I know that many women have terrible side effects from tamoxifen (if they are premenopausal ). I am post , so tamoxifen was not prescribed. I can’t wait for new studies to address the side effects of these drugs which are absolutely devastating .

    I’m not sure I understand why your returning back to the drug? Why? We’re you diagnosed with Cancer again. I mean seeing you break down. Is heart breaking. Can you explain in more detail is the return a result of new diagnosis?
    I JUST WATCHED your other video outlining “Why you got off Tamoxifen” which made sense considering all women can relate.
    I’ve been taking Tamoxifen for the last 2 years and this week I’ve decided to stop. Plus it’s not just the weight gain, fatigue; brain fog but no-one is talking about what tamoxifen does to the vagina, dryness and lack of libido. Can you share whether you experienced these symptoms?
    Don,t cry! We love you!

      Thank you so much for the message. I originally decided to stop Tamoxifen to get pregnant. Since then we have been blessed with a baby boy. The plan was always to go back on after as I've been recommended to be on it for 5-10 years.
      Good on you for making the right decision for you! I'm excited for you as you forge forward into your next phase of life and truly hope all side effects subside for you quickly.
