I make my own cassava flour. I grind the yuca in water, then squeeze out the "fibrous" part from the starchy water. I dry the pulp and let the starch settle in the water. That starch is tapioca starch. Excellent for thickening, but the fiber is all in the "pulp". Which I dry and grind into flour.
Thank you so much! I was wondering if I could just use tapioca flour in place of my regular gluten-free flour blend (on an elimination diet that doesn't allow several of the flours/starches I usually use). This has saved me time & frustration. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Thank you so much. I bought it because it was cheaper than the black eyed pea flour that is used to make moin moin. I purchased the Lafun brand of cassava flour. Also I never knew what tapioca was made from...thanks for all the info.
So this tapioca flour cannot be use as cassava cake like we do back in my country Philippines , For i cannot found cassava flour here in Japan were i live…so what i found is tapioca flour.

I wanted to ask is it enough to cook tapioca flour and or cassava flour in water?
