I’m a lifelong spurs fan and i was at that game!!!!! As a 12 year old at the time i was extremely disappointed, but looking back, I’m happy i was able to see one of the best playoff performances ever in the flesh. All respect to dragic.
ONE good shot in the 4th Quarter can change the entire flow of the game . I’ve experienced this once where the whole game was close , then my SG made a three and the next possession I made another three . The opposition seemed lost after the 2 back to back 3s
That game so memorable for me , because that was the last time my late friend watch a live game. We're so amaze at Dragic my friend said "Now we see Manu playing against Spurs."
I still remember watching this game when it happened. Of all the great playoff performances in Suns history, this is probably the least likely but one of my favorites nonetheless. Plus, it put the Suns up 3-0 on the hated Spurs and helped get them to the conference finals against the Lakers. THE DRAGON!
One of the most underrated players of the past decade plus, never the most athletic but he brought all heart and skill every minute on the floor. I still believe had he not gotten hurt in the Finals last year the Heat would have at least forced a Game 7. He’s been such under appreciated for so long and we might not even have Luka without what he’s done for Slovenian international basketball.
The amount of catharsis as a suns fan during this series is really inexplicable. Between Steve Nash playing with one eye and Goran destroying them in the 4th, it really was a sight to see. Great writing with all the ways to describe his moves! Seems like he single handedly beat the Spurs, and that off-balance three pointer was amazing. Another incredible performance, perhaps even more so and one that I was watching on tv, was Isiah Thomas's 25 points in a quarter against the Lakers in the Finals on a sprained ankle. That story might make another great video.
