    Just watched the 4 episodes in this series and wanted to say thanks for sharing all the process 👊🏻🙂
    Some times life gives us challenges and complications outside our control, I honestly believe Bonsai is the perfect escape and one of the most gratifying experiences to be had.
    Best of luck, and again, thank you for sharing

      thanks for watching. I do think bonsai does help with a lot of things, its just a good way to be in touch with nature on a small scale.

    I have some granny smith apple seeds germinating right now because I want a bonsai apple tree. Not only did this series prove it was possible, it also showed it's not as difficult as I thought it would be. Just takes time and patience.

      yeah bonsai isnt hard or complicated. its just so so sooo slow. if you stick with it, you will make progress with your trees

    I'm so glad I found this. I have 5 seedlings I started as an experiment. I've always heard apple trees do not do well with root pruning, so I feared transplanting them to a bonsai pot. I'm glad to see it's possible.

      oh really. i never heard that. maybe i would have been more careful if i was told this haha. but i guess its not true, as ive not had any issues.

    The color spectrum of the leaves through the year is dope. Our apples chanhes colors a little differently here. Very cool bonsai. Cheers 😎🍺🍺

    Very nice job on this apple tree. I have been wanting to do one for a couple years now but I have been looking for the right kind and doing lots of research and you give me a lot of inspiration on growing one. I’ve got a orange tree that is three years old and it’s looking pretty good still needs a lot of work. Keep up the great work and keep the video’s coming.

      cheers. you should just start any apple. if you want the more ideal one for bonsai... crab apple. although ive been enjoying the one i have and it as just an eating apple i had in my kitchen and its doing fine so far!

    It's looking good! Reminds me to repot my apple trees I grew from seed about 5 years ago. They're still in the same small plant pots, poor things. No wonder they're so skinny and sad looking. I just need to remember again in Spring. Thanks for sharing.

    Do you experience problems with powdery mildew? My apple trees have been having a tough time with it.

    • @BackGardenBonsai
      @BackGardenBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all. do you keep your trees inside? i know that can sometimes affect things. Have you been trying to treat it? im fairly sure its not to hard to treat

    do the apple trees bonsai grow tiny apples ?

    • @BackGardenBonsai
      @BackGardenBonsai  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is just a normal apple tree. Kept small. So no reason why it can’t grow full size apples. But really as it’s small. It may only have enough resources to grow small ones. …I will just have to wait and let it flower and see what happens

      No, but is because i prune it and havnt let it flower. if i just left it alone, it probably would.

    • @BackGardenBonsai

      i dont see why not. so long as its healthy and old enough it will. (and so long as i dont prune all the flowers off)
