Leuke video. Ik start maandag aan de opleiding maar ben wel beetje nerveus. Was technieker en vond het rijden met de trams echt het leukste van heel de job. 😊miss komen we elkaar wel eens tegen 😊

Hey man. I loved this video. I am a bus driver in Edinburgh UK, I also used to drive trams pereviously. Always good to compare with other public transport workers throughout the world. Very interesting to hear the different shifts you guys have there. Here we have 1 week of early and 1 week of late, changing from late night to early morning in 4 days seems really harsh man. We also have the same shift you spoke about where you do one piece of work in the morning and then again in the afternoon with sometimes 4-5 hours between. In English they are called 'split shifts'. @@tramfan509 no problems and your English is so good man, not many bus or tram drivers in the UK that speak Dutch 🤣 meant to say as well we also have rota for people who work always late shifts or always early shifts. Interesting to hear you saying about new drivers having to do all lines etc that is very similar to the UK to begin with you are a 'spare driver' and cover holidays and sickness so you often don't know what you are doing until the week before 😬
@@mallen88 😂😂 Thank you for your kind words. And also thank you for letting me know the right words 😄🙏. So actually the spare driver status is the same as the Candidates. They also only know a week or two ahead, what they have to do. If you can get through that stage of your career than you are a real tram driver 😄

Such a cool vlog, amazing perspectives! What me really interests: is it officially allowed to film/livestream during tramdriving at DeLijn? Because in germany we got some strict rules for drivers and sometimes "normal looking" workers from the company check that during the ride.
Thank you 😊. About the filming, I asked permission to do it and as long that i use my material for this kind of video’s there are no problems. If I, for example, have a accident or other conflict with another party, than i am not allowed to use it on my channel for legal reasons.
The livestreaming is another thing. When it’s off-peak and it’s in the weekend or on a holiday, than it’s not realy a problem. But i don’t do these very often.
@@tramfan509 Thanks for your answer, DeLijn seems very understanding, cool! I'm not a driver Bus/Tram driver here but what I've heard seems like something like that is impossible.

So good that your company is supportive. In the UK it is similar to Germany by the sound of it. I used to have a TH-cam channel (search Singledeckermichael) but my company made it very difficult with all the rules they had and in the end I stopped uploading.

Yves, zou het kunnen dat je u vergist i.v.m. de lengte van buslijn 1. Die reed toen ik nog op de bus zat van de rijnkaai naar de verenigde natielaan in hoboken...mijn gevoel zegt dat het stuk van het zuid naar de verenigde natie laan langer was dan van de luchtbal naar het mas...voor de rest een superleuke blog
Hey Tony, ik bedoelde de oude tramlijn 1 eigenlijk. In één van mijn vorige video’s had ik het over tramlijn 1 als een nieuwe tramlijn, en daarop kwam de reactie dat het eigenlijk niet echt een nieuwe tramlijn was. Dit heb ik dus proberen recht te zetten in dit filmpje 😄. Nu wat de lengte betreft van de buslijn en de huidige tramlijn 1, heb ik de afstand even opgezocht op Google maps en er is een 2 km verschil. De bus reed 2 km verder ruw geschat. Dus verwaarloosbaar 🤣
@@tramfan509 het was ook niet als verwijt bedoeld he Yves, maar omdat je in uw video sprak van een buslijn en ik ex buschauffeur ben legde ik de link....keep up the good work 😊
