    Thanks for the tutorial. Tomorrow I have my first official competition in MBLD, I’ll try to follow your tips, (tip 2 is the best for me: memo and solve in the same order: CE/CE) even do we have different buffers and letters, but the idea remains always the same. I have chosen only 2 cubes (that’s enough for me). I’ll do the chained word method with images...

      Eights months later, I can write that I haven't any MBLD good solved yet, but today I have just started to solve 3BLD with the roman rooms method, I take again your scramble, I have placed in one room the corners and in other room the edges, and that have worked very good. Thank you very much for all your help!!!

    I'm so close to finishing learning 3style, I can't wait to start grinding solves and working towards sub-1:00! (also it will make Multi-BLD much less tiring)

    My burning question is when to know to add more cubes? I’m currently doing 6 cubes and have gotten a handful of 5/6 in under 45 mins. So I could add at least one more cube maybe two. But I have not gotten a 6/6 yet…. Do I keep trying 6? Or because I know my memo capacity is not capped out yet should I just move up to what I can squeeze into an hour? Then work on accuracy from there?

    • @JackCaiCubing
      @JackCaiCubing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeh definitely go for more cubes, it isn't worth going for a perfect score first

      Have more memory palaces. Like the memory competitors, the more memory palaces you have at your disposal, the more you can store. Like your grandparents house or another house you been. All it takes its walk trought the house, because we humans are really excepcional in spacial memory

    Tip 1: during exec i think it's better to not put the cubes back where they were
    Unless you're practicing at home and want to analyse dnfs

      probs although I still do that in comp cos it's such a strong habit for me 😅 (oh actually I forgot some cubes and redid some in my last ocr so it might've worked out then)

    How do you deal and memorize with parity, twists and flips (when using3 style) in this cece order in mbld? Also, what cheap and good cubes do you recommend for mbld?

    • @JackCaiCubing
      @JackCaiCubing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      assuming you use UFR buffer for corners, pretend the locations of the UF and UR pieces are swapped in memo (so you'd technically start edge memo where UR is instead of UF). This differs from the parity method commonly used for 3-Style 3BLD with the CEEC order where you pretend the UF and UR PIECES are swapped (as opposed to what are in the UF/UR positions). I also explain it in this ancient video from like 5 years ago but for the UBL buffer (so UB/UL swap instead) but I think it's still relevant: th-cam.com/video/xVbw1TEuHR4/w-d-xo.html

      I'm not up to date with cubing hardware so much but I think looking up 'best budget speedcubes 2021' or something will help you find what you're looking for 👍

    I can’t solve blind because my memorisation isn’t good. I have attempted BLD and I average around 16.3 on 3x3 but I just can’t seem to do it. I have used your tutorials as well jack. Any suggestions

    • @JackCaiCubing
      @JackCaiCubing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      which part of memorisation is holding you back in bld? (creating letter pair words, figuring out where the letters go, retaining info, etc.)?

    • @infinitecubing1305
      @infinitecubing1305 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can find where the pieces go and the make letter pairs it's mainly just remembering those letter pairs. There are 12 edges so for me to remember all the letter pairs that I made then doing that again for corners is a lot. I know how the actual process works and I have watched several tutorials as well. I really Dont know why it is so hard for me. Also my memory is average so it's not like I have a bad memory

    • @infinitecubing1305
      @infinitecubing1305 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's probably just flipped pieces and new cycles that make it hard

    • @JackCaiCubing
      @JackCaiCubing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@infinitecubing1305 are you making words/stories/images out of those letter pairs? If so, can you give me an example? My memory is 'average' as well but I've trained it a lot in the blindsolving context (so it doesn't look like that hahah).

    • @infinitecubing1305

      @@JackCaiCubing I can make the stories and pairs and I probably could do it with practice it's just the flipped pieces and new cycles that make it hard. I know what to do with those cases it's just hard. When I get home (I am on a train home from school) I'll practice 2BLD so and i can get familiar with the edges. Thanks for all the help

    • @wojtekrogozinski3426
      @wojtekrogozinski3426 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fenek6562 Actually learning m2 forces you to change your buffer piece to DF, so when learning 3style youre gonna need to change it again to the U layer, theres no need for more buffer piece changes then UR -> UF. Furthermore m2 solves 1 piece at a time just like OP, so if you feel comfortable about your OP i really recommend you not to waste your time on m2 and jump straight to learning 3style

    • @wojtekrogozinski3426
