Have you done the Paulina-Izzy highway between Prineville and John day? It's 380 out of Prineville and turns into 63 past Paulina. It connects with 395 about 10 miles south of John Day

Thanks Eric. I'm really happy with how this one turned out, but I had lots of good footage to start with. That makes a big difference. Sometimes I am trying to edit around footage that didn't turn out all that well. This one I had a lot to work with.

This is one of my favorite rides, ever! I will go from Madras, to Antelope, to Fossil, over to Mitchell, then west over the Ochocos, down into Prineville! Or you can do it in reverse. Epic ride, awesome roads, with the one caveat: watch for patches of pea sized gravel, and pumice, especially around corners, which if you're going hot, can cause serious issues, especially in the early to late spring, until the road traffic has cleared off what ODOT's laid down over the winter. 2 years ago, ODOT laid down a 3-4" thick layer of pea sized gravel on the pavement, and it got me, with a bad get off, and a year recovery for my R1150RS, and I. I got the worst of it.
I've done this ride close to a hundred times over the last 27 years.... Probably more.... 7-8 times, just since that aforementioned bad "get off".
Thanks for sharing. Safe riding, brother! God bless.

I'm glad you are able to ride again. It can for sure, I am especially careful in sharp right handers, those get the worst of the gravel. Years when they have resealed it, also tend to have a bit more. Cheers, thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.

love to see yall having fun! Us Fossil residents love to watch all the bikes come threw. Be careful though, any of our first responders will tell you about all the crashes. also Shaniko is pronounced Shan-uh-co, and Clarno Clar-no. My dad lived in Antelope, Oregon. He was 12 around the time the Rajneesh moved there. Lots of crazy stories. They certainly left an impact on the local folklore. I don't want to make this comment too long though, peace!

Awesome, my buddy and I did the drop down into Mitchell to eat at the excellent brew pub and dinner. I run through Maupin for work when 26 is closed and got ride it this past summer up to The Dalles. Can't wait to try out the 218 this summer. 218 is a must ride. 207 from Mitchell , and then again from Spray to Hepner is also very good. 216 from Grass Valley is what we call the staircase, it is also a very good ride. Once you find yourself in that area there are so many fun roads. A Tiger 900 is perfect for riding around on those roads. You will have a blast exploring that area on a bike.
