@@MidWestWaters345 Yes absolutely - one of my favourite bands is Norwegian - and they are so wonderfully talented BUT they sing in english - and it doesn't sound right - doesn't fit the music

For such a small population, Iceland have some awesome singers and bands!! Besides this brilliant band, Björk, Gus Gus and Sigur Rós immediately come to mind.
Check out HAM as well. Older school metal, more of a grunge sound, but still fantastic.

something about Icelandic language that I love. my first love (in music) was Bjork , this group has some of those vibes but are totally unique to themselves as well. I feel like I just found a treasure. very awesome ,raw,music, something I miss from the 80's punk scene and 90's alternative.

Even though I love Laufey and I think she really brings something unique to the sound of the band, I'm absolutely impressed by Sólveig's voice! I wish she would sing more often. Maybe a couple of songs per album with her as the lead singer.
She also has her own solo project :)

If you look up their first performance at the city library in 2013, Laufey gets on the floor to read the words from a notebook. They hadn't rehearsed much. Perhaps getting down on the floor became part of the act for this song. Anyway, totally amazing.
