If you want to know who the Queen is as a person watch the BBC special entitled The Unseen Queen. She came from a loving, happy home and is a loving person.
And like every normal human, she made mistakes, her family was in the eyes of the public all the time, it is impossible not to make mistakes. But she adored by many, more than people realized.
Her Majesty’s gorgeous sense of humour is so refreshing. A beautiful human being in addition to the fabulous Monarch she is. There is a wonderful ‘selfie’ photograph two young women took of themselves where the Queen photo-bombed them in the background with a delightful cheeky smile and wave. It reflects so naturally her endearing delightful personality. What a tremendous and priceless keepsake those two young ladies will cherish for life.
It takes two people to break a marriage up. People do get divorced . Diana was not so innocent either. I love Charles and Camilla they make a great couple. I totally agree that Camilla has quietly made a place for herself with. Charles without trying to take anyone else's place or try to make herself more important than another. I never understood why there was any animosity against the Queen after Diana's death. She was at Balmoral with her grandsons who obviously needed her support far more than a bunch of people who had never met Diana. I also find it interesting that neither the interviewer or Morton makes any mention of Diana's affairs as if they didn't happen. The Queen went to Malta because her husband's naval command was in Malta. It isn't as if she walked away from the family and trashed her family. That's a ridiculous comparison.

US citizen here... I am so tired of Harry Windsor and Meghan Markle. I enjoyed the Jubilee and thought it was well done -- minimal drama and sideshows. I see Harry Windsor may try to dip his toe into US Policy development -- he should steer clear. Right now, the only qualifications they have are as "celebrities." If Harry Windsor wants to become more involved in US Policy he needs to study, become a naturalized citizen, and develop his qualifications. Many US ancestors were "second sons" of English aristocracy/nobility. They took huge risk (in some cases) giving up titles and comfort for a different opportunity. If Harry Windsor feels so strongly, he should be brave enough to forego his titles. Or go back to the UK -- Maybe use his uncle, the Earl of Spencer as a model -- the Earl has written some interesting books and lives his life with none of these tantrums and dramas.

Yes, she had a real need for male attention and also had mental problems (throwing herself downstairs, showing up on doorsteps crying, chasing men that weren’t interested, bulimia, etc. )......many, many stories from friends who were very close to her and who weren’t criticizing her, just talking about her struggles. Many men would not know how to deal with that (women too, I suspect ).

There is a wonderful ‘selfie’ photograph two young women took of themselves where the Queen photo-bombed them in the background with a delightful cheeky smile and wave. It reflects so naturally her endearing delightful personality.
What a tremendous and priceless keepsake those two young ladies will cherish for life.
It takes two people to break a marriage up. People do get divorced . Diana was not so innocent either. I love Charles and Camilla they make a great couple. I totally agree that Camilla has quietly made a place for herself with. Charles without trying to take anyone else's place or try to make herself more important than another. Camilla has shown class by supporting Charles in his duties and carrying her duties through with fuss, fanfare, or attention to herself. She has shown herself to be an asset to Charles not a person to overwhelm him......or anyone else.

I never understood why there was any animosity against the Queen after Diana's death. She was at Balmoral with her grandsons who obviously needed her support far more than a bunch of people who had never met Diana. I also find it interesting that neither the interviewer or Morton makes any mention of Diana's affairs as if they didn't happen.

US citizen here... I am so tired of Harry Windsor and Meghan Markle. I enjoyed the Jubilee and thought it was well done -- minimal drama and sideshows. I see Harry Windsor may try to dip his toe into US Policy development -- he should steer clear. Right now, the only qualifications they have are as "celebrities." If Harry Windsor wants to become more involved in US Policy he needs to study, become a naturalized citizen, and develop his qualifications. Many US ancestors were "second sons" of English aristocracy/nobility. They took huge risk (in some cases) giving up titles and comfort for a different opportunity. If Harry Windsor feels so strongly, he should be brave enough to forego his titles. Or go back to the UK -- Maybe use his uncle, the Earl of Spencer as a model -- the Earl has written some interesting books and lives his life with none of these tantrums and dramas.
