You thank whatever you can that you’re okay and help your neighbors. Knowing full well your luck could run out very soon…

    Thanks for being professional unlike other channels that turn comments off because of their unprofessionalism and immaturity. They say comments like "come to momma" and "ohh she's beautiful" as the tornado moves to some barns and silos. Ask that farmer if the tornado was beautiful? Because of their comments i gave the video a thumbs down. People die and homes are destroyed as if they were made of toothpicks. Thank you for this video. Tornadoes are horrific. But they have been very bad for a long time. For what it may be worth in March 18, 1925 one went thru Missouri, Illinois and Indiana traveling at 73 miles per hour across the land and 695 people died. It was about 1 mile wide and has been estimated to have been an F5 tornado (although there wasn't such a rating system at that time) by the damage it caused over its 219 mile path. I am sure so many died then because of the lack of warning systems in place. It is important to educate people about them and teach them to be aware of what is going on. Our weather service and local warning systems are so important.

For anyone a bit old in their 50's or older, you guys all know that climate and weather are unaturally more extreme in the 2020's than is typically normal. There is such things in the real world like space corporations, high tech space satellite weather modifications, and an evil red dragon of the East seriously working on beating America and EU countries down to nothing by decades end any and all sorts of unexpected surprise strategies. When I went to Missouri in November 2021, it was lights out, funnel clouds in the skies, and the feeling of terror sitting in an old WW2 small wooden old motel. It reminded me why life isn't very good in the rural heartland unless one had inherited a fortune in green acres along with a bomb shelter and necessary equipment. man this is such a common refrain it's incredible, but it's disinformation. the 50s-70s were some of the worst decades for strong tornadoes. just because the vids you see are of moore, joplin and el reno tornadoes doesn't mean nothing happened before them. the last ef5 was in 2013 also. so, while the mar 31st outbreak was ugly, it was nothing compared to the '74 outbreak in terms of numbers and power of the storms, for example. please quit spreading this misinformation that storm intensity is increasing on some exponential scale, it's just plain false.

Thanks for chasing storms and the whole community spreading the info on socials, you have all saved many lives with pre notification before the sirens.

    • @LordTimelord
      @LordTimelord ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Chat GPT's Answer to your question is as follows.
      "Tornadoes generally move from the southwest to northeast in the northern hemisphere due to the prevailing wind patterns in this region. In the United States, for example, tornadoes are most common in the central part of the country, where warm and moist air from the Gulf of Mexico collides with cool and dry air from Canada. This collision creates a horizontal spinning effect, known as wind shear, which can then be enhanced by other factors, such as jet streams or local topography, into a vertical vortex that can produce a tornado. As the vortex forms, it is usually carried along by the prevailing winds, which in this part of the world generally flow from the southwest to the northeast. However, tornadoes can also move in other directions, particularly in regions where wind patterns are more complex or variable."
      Seems like a pretty logical answer to me!

    • @pinlight97
      @pinlight97 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LordTimelord exactly! I’m in southern Ontario, Canada and our prevailing winds almost always move west to east…from the north more in winter and the south more in sumner. I know our worst weather is here when a storm front is due north-south and moving east as that gives straight line winds or even a derecho. Another is when the storm front is the same but the winds switch up and also go north-south or vice versa. That’s when we get flooding or a super blizzard. Today we have the top end of the storms they are tailing off as tornadic systems in the south US. Up here it’s drenching rain/ice pellets/wet snow and fed by moisture from Lakes Huron and Erie (the Great Lakes also feed these systems quite well…Buffalo’s huge snow event was directly due to Lake Erie intensifying a Colorado Low).

    From a distance it would look like a wedge but it is the funnel wrapped by its own meso. Another tornado like the ones that fascinate me. At times I thought that funnel was a subvortex. It's amazing the structure of that thing.

      You should be more frightened that banks use scribbles for money. Program a card then tell you, you have credit. Here have some $1234567890. No wait. What are taxes. Ideas that make people broke. What is broke if we're alive? Debt, wages, that stuff is scary. And what are these $€¥¢£%? This money trick isn't funny anymore.

    Here in Manchester, Iowa, we were hit by two tornadoes, with wind speeds exceeding 80 miles an hour. They did extensive damage to a lot of the commercial buildings around here and it also damaged peoples houses. There’s trees that were blown over in Latin people to rust or the house was blown off his foundation.

    Epic vid. and rare. While the most balmy day in the area in 6 mos. the air was clear, and as planting hasn't started yet, the light is spectacular.
    Usually if/when these storms get rolling this far north, the fields are deep green, the trees are full and the air is dense with moisture.

    I had my Wind Alert app open on my phone to watch what was happening near me in IL. I could see wind feeding two tornado inline in Iowa. The wind feeding these was coming from more than 200 miles away - coming from all directions and converging in Iowa. Wind Alert was showing the huge swirl. I've never seen anything like it on Wind Alert. Most of the time, the tornados are not even recognized, but this showed the incredible convergence of wind.
