2012 ford fusion owner here .. had it 10 years drove it from base to base and back home in the army. Never had a problem 178k driving it right now while watching this
The Fusion is a great car. I bought a 2019 Fusion Energi. I passed up on a lot of other competitors simply because they were just plain ugly cars. Even though this body style is in its 7th year now it still looks fantastic to me!

@@Gopinathk17 if I were to purchase a used car right now I would go for like a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla. They are slow cars, but very reliable as well. 2014 and to 2019 for the Corolla and Civic about the same years are nice
hey man. you finally reviewed my car. I have waited so long. well, mine is 2014 but 2.5 liter. comparing other mid-size sedans, I should say ford fusion is the best one.
My wife just traded in her 2012 fusion 70,000 miles for the 2019 fusion. Let me tell ya this car is pretty nice don’t think it has the turbo in it but still nice. We’re still getting use to all the bells n whistles that this car has like the steering wheel vibe when u cross a lane left or right side of the car and bright lights adjust electronically/ automatically so u don’t even need to mess with them if on coming traffic is approaching. Love that rear view mirror as well. She loves the cell phone stereo system hook -up through the speakers (nice) with no ear piece in. Ive not Checked to see if there’s a spare in the trunk so don’t know. Not sure that would work for me in making a vehicle purchase myself I would need an emergency full-size spare just in case not these 100 mile crap 50 mph junk tires.
Raiti's Rides I just wish they offered the wagon and hatchback, as well as the diesel and the other engines, and the manual and the dual clutch transmissions, and the Vignale trim, as well as a rear wheel drive option.
This body style was first introduced for Ford Fusion for the 2013 model year, and not the 2006 model year. the 2006 model year was the first year of the Fusion. The Fusion is the sister car to the Lincoln MKZ. And, I agree with other comments here that Ford is crazy to stop producing this car.
I've had a 2019 Fusion Hybrid Titanium now for a while and it's easily the best daily I could ask for. Top trim level i feel is a must on the Fusions and they really aren't that much more expensive for top trim. It's such a smooth ride with loads of useful features. I love my Fusion. Not to mention being the hybrid, it gets ridiculous mileage. Some trips being upwards of 70-80 mpg ! Ridiculous. I love it
I use to drive a 2016 Ford Fusion. I miss it! Really a great car and we didn’t really keep up the maintenance like we should have and it still drove like a champ lol
I had that car as a rental in TN. It was a 2020. And the sunroof leather etc. It drove very nice and we left actually loving the car. Sad that they are canceling it. It’s a nice car.
These have aged really well to me. He said it would look a decade older than the new Camry parked next to eachother but to me this still looks almost as modern. The Fusion "Titanium" looks better than this mid-level SEL too and that has the upgraded 2.0L Turbo.
My dad has a 2013 fusion titanium car that’s he’s had since the spring of 2015. He’s had for now 7 years, looking into a 2020 Ford Fusion sel for him also for next spring of 2023. He and I love these fusions.
I owned the 2006 until 2018. It was my first car. I want this 2020, but there are a ton of other vehicles that I want to. Buying it as a daily driver is something I'd do.
I drove a 91 Ford econovan for 15 years and loved it. When it died i went shopping, asking dealers to show me any small Fords they might have. That is how i found my 2020 se iconic silver Fusion. I am loving it, and changing all the fluids/filters, etc to keep ahead of the maintenance. It is fun to drive and i hope to keep it for the rest of my life!

I just bought this car today but in silver. I LOVE IT 🥰. I switched from a 2012 escape. Didn’t know that s was sport gotta try it lol. The seats are the best too
I seriously don't know what's wrong with this car. It has up to date technology, a competitive powertrain, optional AWD, decent interior space, etc. Why does it get so much hate?
I’ve got the 13 titanium AWD. Coming from a 2000 Audi A6 2.7t AWD, so to me it’s decently comparable and so far the AWD isn’t as good, but I only notice it because I’ve had so many miles in the Audi. Before these two, I had a 2000 Saturn s series, then a 2008 Pontiac G6 GXP. The Saturn was very reliable in the 102k I put on it. The g6 was my WORST Nightmare. This Ford is great quality and reasonable interior I get better MPG ( a bit) than I had in the Audi, but I get to keep the convenience of AWD. It’s a shame that Ford is doing away with these, since I have always been a sedan person, and I don’t need to tow, haul, cart 7 kids around (or ANY) or any of that stuff. My fusion has served me well, and I’m not sure where I’ll go once I’m ready to move on. (Owned and with 51.7k on it at this time so it’ll be awhile it seems)
At first I was told I was crazy for buying one in 2018 since American cars were "unreliable". Now in 2020 the car is actually been more reliable than my old man's Mitsubishi and my grandparents Mercedes. It is incredibly comfortable and being a hybrid, ridiculously inexpensive to run. A real shame Ford is discontinuing the Fusion. That said, the new Mustang Mach-E could be a future replacement.
I was steered away from ford for years untill I got my hands on a fusion in 2017 via a rental and The ride was insanely comfy I just wish it was slightly faster I’m in the market used mid sized sedan would love to get this maybe a lease
I agree. I have a '16 Fusion, and it's currently at198k. I've had no major issues with it, and I love the way it drives. I just wish the atrocious Sync system worked.
It’s a good car, but you’re better off starting at the titanium trim level and going up from there . Word on the streets is you can snag a fusion sport at a huge discount these days, might be worth looking into if you’re interested in having a bit of power in an unassuming package. Still it’s a shame they let this car grow stale, it was the best looking car in its class when introduced. While still a handsome car, it makes me wonder what it could’ve become if they would’ve actually marketed it properly. I guess we’ll have to watch from afar as it lives on in Europe..at least until they try to bring it back at the end of its life cycle when they realize they shouldn’t have abandoned that market in the first place (*cough* RANGER *cough*). I feel like they’re distributing stupid pills at the non-performance divisions of Ford these days.
I love that you reviewed the Fusion Joe! Great review as always! You should review the 2020 Dodge Journey and see how bad it is. I can't wait for another great year for Raiti's Rides in 2020!!!
When my car was in the shop, I drove the 2019 Fusion with the SE Appearance Package as a rental. Black with what I like to call the tuxedo interior. Black painted rims. I fell in love this version of the Fusion and was sad to return it at the end of the rental period. I've been looking for another one like this and just can't find one.

Great car that Ford came out w/ the Fusion. I own a 2019 model. I love it and became a big fan of the model line. I'm disappointed that Ford is discontinuing it.
They are good cars, I had the 2017 Fusion SEL Energi and loved it. Thought I'd try an SUV finally when my lease ended. Got the 2019 Escape SEL which I do like but not as much as that Fusion. Ford will re-think in a couple years and play catch-up when market trends change again.
I said I'd never buy another "Ford" after my Topaz and Windstar. BUT, my 2009 Fusion (Standard transmission) was brilliant, same clutch for its entire life and put massive miles on it with no problem. Loved the restyle, so I got the 2019 Titanium Hybrid and LOVE IT! WHY did they stop making it, now that they've finally "perfected" a car ?
I love my Fusion and I don’t think I’ll ever buy another Ford when they completely get rid of it. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like if they just completely redesigned the Fusion it would have more sales than their SUV’s?
I love the Ford Fusion I have one at 2016 SE package But it has more options than that one I have a sunroof fog lights special black rims black mirrors and black door handles fully optional for that one and got a good price on it love your videos keep up the good work and happy new year and a safe one
I have a 2013 Fusion Energi with 150k miles as of this comment.. zero problems... pure joy to drive! I still get about 19 miles out of the pure battery drive before the hybrid drivetrain kicks in which results in great fuel economy of about 45 mpg overall. It sad that Ford sedans are going the way of the Dodo but we are thinking about buying the new Mach E when they come out since this cars electric drivetrain has performed flawlessly. Should be a hit for Ford.
I like the Ford Fusion. Nice looking car & the Ford Fusion drives real nice. One of the best cars that Ford Motor Company has out right now. Sad 😞 to see it leave the line up
Where Ford made the mistake with Fusion is the tepid refresh in 2017. If they had done an extensive refresh, the Fusion may have still been in production.
I had a 2017 fusion and I really liked it. It drove well and was comfortable to drive and liked the steering. My only issue is that I don’t like getting in and out of sedans and the actual sales numbers don’t say competitors are selling sedans either. For just about every carmaker CUV’s or pickups are their #1 sellers and the reason why CUV’s sell so much is because of the step in, step out and driving height. Even within Toyota the RAV4 and the RAV4 hybrid have over taken the Camry and Corolla as their sails leader because of better driving position and they drive like cars.
I have a fusion 2018 and next year i’m gonna get the last fusion again. i LOVE this car. people stay complimenting it. mid sized, and just overall great.
I just bought myself a 2020 Fusion SE and I absolutely love it, the 1.5 EcoBoost is perfect and more than enough power. could honestly be a little better MPG wise but still a great car overall!
@@BG-ig6fd as long as you take care of it correctly I don’t see why not. I’ve seen them with damn near 100k and they’re still running good with no major issues
For a family sedan. The price is spot on with the current Ford discounts. Even AWD is available. I still think it's an attractive vehicle, but like FCA and their Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. They forgot to redesign the Fusion. Ford also spent zero dollars on marketing it. I have friends that own Fusion SELs and they love the car and it's technology. My last dealer test drive of a Fusion was a 2017 Sport equipped with a turbo 2.7 V6, 325 horsepower. At the time it was pricy, but a solid performance sedan. With current hugh rebates. This car is a fantastic value. Looking at the US 2018 sales of the Fusion which reached 174,000. I'm confused why Ford is discontinuing it. Ford needs to thank you for thorough review of the Fusion. Something they forgot to do.
I really think ford should heavily refresh this to give it the explorer interior and keep it pushing. Although sedan sales are down especially for this car, the fusion is the most sold sedan out of the domestic automakers.
I'm from across the Atlantic and here ford vehicles are always praised for their handling and driving characteristics. If you don't buy a bmw, definitely buy this one or the latest focus as a driver's car. I actually rented the fusion (lowest trim) when I was in the US and drove all the way from Boston to Orlando, FL and back. I must say this car drives perfect. It's like you are cruising like a train on the rails. It's like you'd need to put extra effort to take it away from the lane or sway towards sides even a little bit. Best driving experience!
It sickens my stomach that Ford is discontinuing the Fusion. It has a classic look. The Fusion could be in a James Bond movie. It is the best riding/handling midsize car there is. The presenter is 100% correct stating the discounts and rebates available on the Fusion. You will not pay anywhere near MSRP. Great presentation as always. Did you zonk Ford for the automatic start-stop feature? This is very controversial. You need to press a button to it to be off.
4 weeks ago before my 21st birthday I bought me a used 2018 Ford Fusion SE EcoBoost. I love the car it only had 56 and something thousand miles on it but the only problem I ran into is the truck is holding in water. I went back to the ford dealer an told them about my problem an they said that the trunk seal wasn't sealed properly and that they dont understand why but that's one of the main problems they have with that car because 2 other Ford Fusions was there for the same problem, but I'll drop it back off Monday hoping that was the real and only problem, other than that it's a great car especially being my first car at that😃.
I love the Ford Fusion. It's very reliable. I like a vehicle that doesn't break easily. I drive the 2006 model. All the parts are still holding together. The heater works, the fan works, the AC works, the defrost works, the lights work, the clutch works, the brakes work. The door closes firmly.
With rebates, I just leased this car for 169 a month for 24 months. You literally can’t find a better deal. Lots of room (I’m 6’1) with great trunk space and drives smooth. For the price, you really can’t beat it.
3 years ago when had an accident in my 2014 Camry I was given a 2017 Fusion until my car was fixed. I had it for a month and a half. I truly liked it. Last year when I was about to trade in my 2014 Camry I did think about the Fusion and how much I liked it. But ended up with a 2018 Camry instead. Back in 2006 I bought a 2005 Taurus and by 70,000 miles the Transmission went out. After that I was finished with Ford....lol
Joe, if Honda and Toyota can continue to sell sedans in this SUV and Truck climate, Ford and Chevy should be able to do the same thing correct? I think both of these automotive manufactures are making a huge mistake giving up on cars all together.
@@miguelircontar I'll be back. They don't have any sedan platform in NA and its a bad move IMO. Its still made and updated overseas. My bets it will be back in less then 5 years.
My Dad just picked up a red 2020 SE with AWD and the 2.0 liter turbo. Like you mentioned, he got around 5g in incentives and a great payment on a pretty loaded up ride.
You should’ve done a review on the top of line 2019 titanium Energi. I just got one and so far I’m really enjoying it c: way better than the competition
Honestly it’s a great car for the value a good econobox to go from A to B right now there’s like 20% off plus like 7k in rebates and incentives you can walk out buying one for 18 to 20k after taxes and interest which is a bargain for a new midsize car
I have a 2018 Fusion Sport. The car drives so smooth. The twin turbo V6 and AWD is a great driving experience. Planted and laser like handling. There are many things I like about this car that he mentions in this video. It’s just a very well designed car with nice styling. I rent many cars in my job and after driving one of these I was sold. The bigger the engine in these the better. The small four cylinder is a dog of an engine while the big V6 is a rocket. The Sony Sync 3 touch screen system is the infotainment system to get. The regular Sync system sucks.
Do it! I loved my 2017 that I leased. I probably should have bought it after my lease. It’s a great vehicle. Best midsize sedan out there, and I’m not even really a Ford fan.
My 15 fusion 2.0 ecoboost FWD has 160K miles and I've had not one problem with it and I drive like a maniac. Best daily driver I've owned.

Thanks for sharing that great input.
I have a 2014 titanium AWD and I love it
I appreciate you sharing your ownership experience!
I'm not a Ford fan, but the fusion is still the 2nd best looking family car. The Mazda 6 being the best looker.
I have a 15’ titanium AWD. Fact was at the time, it was only one of few AWD optioned sedans, and drives amazing and turbo’d.
I had a 2010 fusion sport. Sold mine a year ago, still miss it!!
Thanks for sharing that great ownership input!
2010 ford fusion had the duratec motor very reliable motor newer ones aren't duratec
@@theshield1613they absolutely are!!
HAPPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!! New Year, New Decade, and New Raiti Rides videos!
Same to you! 2020 is going to be a great year!
I love my Fusion and I don’t think I’ll ever buy another Ford when they completely get rid of it. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like if they just completely redesigned the Fusion it would have more sales than their SUV’s?
They actually did redesign it, but for Europe, and it looks so nice. They should’ve brought it here.
I love the Ford Fusion I have one at 2016 SE package But it has more options than that one I have a sunroof fog lights special black rims black mirrors and black door handles fully optional for that one and got a good price on it love your videos keep up the good work and happy new year and a safe one
They been saying "this is the last year for the fusion" since 2017.
I had a 16 1.5l and LOVED IT! My Jeep lease is up this month and I'm gonna get another Fusion. Can't wait to drive this car again!
What I like is the circle shifter, outside fancy design and interior ambient lighting from Ford.
I just bought my 2020 Fusion SE and I love it! Such a smooth ride and great amount of room for my 3 year old!
I like the Ford Fusion. Nice looking car & the Ford Fusion drives real nice. One of the best cars that Ford Motor Company has out right now. Sad 😞 to see it leave the line up
They finally got a car "right"... and tossed the book aside ! Waste of decades culmination of engineering experience!
Thank you for doing a fusion Joe.
You are so very welcome David!
Got my 2020 Mondeo and I can't believe how beautiful and comfortable car it is.
Where Ford made the mistake with Fusion is the tepid refresh in 2017. If they had done an extensive refresh, the Fusion may have still been in production.
That grille and body style were brilliant out of the gate, not sure how much of a "refresh" it actually needed - the reliability is amazing !
Thanks for sharing those thoughts!
I am absolutely in love with my 2013 SE with the 1.6 l turbo
I have a fusion 2018 and next year i’m gonna get the last fusion again. i LOVE this car. people stay complimenting it. mid sized, and just overall great.
I just bought myself a 2020 Fusion SE and I absolutely love it, the 1.5 EcoBoost is perfect and more than enough power. could honestly be a little better MPG wise but still a great car overall!
How much did you pay for it
Do you think the ecoboost engine will last? That’s what concerns me.
Excellent points!
I have a 2013 1.6 Eco and even though it’s not my dream car, I love the crap out of it! It’s actually fun to drive and so comfy too
Thanks for sharing that great ownership experience!
Happy New Year Joe!!! I’m looking forward to all of the videos to come in 2020!
Happy New Year to you Brendon! So am I ! It's going to be a great year!
I really think ford should heavily refresh this to give it the explorer interior and keep it pushing. Although sedan sales are down especially for this car, the fusion is the most sold sedan out of the domestic automakers.
Yeah Ford still sells more of these yearly than Chevy Malibu's, and these still looks nicer to me.
4th best selling midsize sedan.
I had a 2015 Fusion 1.5 ecoboast and it was a nice car. Sad to see Ford discontinuing the model.
How did the ecoboost do? Reliable?
@@BG-ig6fd I bought the car new and had it for about 3 years. Only went to the dealership for an oil change. I personally never had any issues.
Thanks for sharing that great input. I hope they can fix the problem.
Happy New year to you Joe and the crew..🥂......thanks for all the awesome vids and streams in 2019, here's to an even better 2020 my friend! 🙌
Gary Green happy New Year 🎆 my friend!
Thanks for sharing that great input!
Wow, that’s impressive!
I just picked up a 2019 titanium fusion
Awesome 👌
Congrats!
One of the best sedans Ford makes or made
With rebates, I just leased this car for 169 a month for 24 months.
Thanks for sharing your ownership and drive experience. I hope you are doing okay after your accident.
Joe, if Honda and Toyota can continue to sell sedans in this SUV and Truck climate, Ford and Chevy should be able to do the same thing correct? I think both of these automotive manufactures are making a huge mistake giving up on cars all together.
Bennie Mangle Jr. The only American manufacturer to offer a full size sedan is PSA Fiat Chrysler as a Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger.
It's a nice 4 door car. My question is why didn't Ford give it more hp. A friend has one and it's a nice car.
There is a Sport model with more power. Ford just let their cars besides the Mustang fall to to wayside.
@@RaitisRides long live the Mustang! BTW did I miss a review on Lori's new car?
This would've been nice about 5 years ago. I still have hope that Ford will bring back the Taurus sho again but who knows
Ford will bring a sedan back. AS a truck only company it will burn them at some point. You better believe it.
HiPlains1 the guy at my dealer said they’re bringing the European Focus back for 2021
are the car parts discontinued too? can you fix this fusion years later?
Required to stock parts for 15 years is the legal requirement
Last review for 2019
L S yes sir! Bigger things to come!
Bye Bye Fusion it was fun while it lasted
@@miguelircontar I'll be back. They don't have any sedan platform in NA and its a bad move IMO. Its still made and updated overseas. My bets it will be back in less then 5 years.
@@miguelircontar unfortunately 😩😩
I just got one in Oct and i really like it but its in SE trim it's great value for the money and it's a 2020 too
Thanks for sharing that great input!
It's really great ride so sad that they are not going to be making any more of these look like it's going to be a classic in the future
My dad has a 2013 fusion hybrid. I know it hasnt gotten a facelift in a while, but exept for the fake vents, almost nothing has changed.
Hi My Dad Got that car it’s silver and titanium 2017
Titanium hybrid is the perfect daily driver! Ford needs to reconsider killing this awesome simple car.
I totally agree with you!
Thanks for your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
I love my 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium AWD . Got it in winter of 2012. Well I love everything besides the transmission which is harsh at times.
Love the sedan reviews!
I love bringing them to you!
Honestly it’s a great car for the value a good econobox to go from A to B right now there’s like 20% off plus like 7k in rebates and incentives you can walk out buying one for 18 to 20k after taxes and interest which is a bargain for a new midsize car
I totally agree with your points!
@@RaitisRides how do you get the rebates?
I have a 2018 Fusion Sport. The car drives so smooth. The twin turbo V6 and AWD is a great driving experience. Planted and laser like handling. There are many things I like about this car that he mentions in this video. It’s just a very well designed car with nice styling. I rent many cars in my job and after driving one of these I was sold. The bigger the engine in these the better. The small four cylinder is a dog of an engine while the big V6 is a rocket. The Sony Sync 3 touch screen system is the infotainment system to get. The regular Sync system sucks.
Thanks for sharing that great experience from your ownership!
I'm thinking of buy a used 2020 Ford Fusion.
Do it! I loved my 2017 that I leased. I probably should have bought it after my lease. It’s a great vehicle. Best midsize sedan out there, and I’m not even really a Ford fan.
It would be better if they put a slightly more powerful engine in that car because 181 horses just seems a little anemic to me.
I totally agree with you!
The 2.0 and 2.7 are plenty powerful
My 2018 fusion has 19k miles and the engine is being replaced. I am so glad it's under warranty. Please be aware the turbos in these cars are failing.
Looking forward to more Raiti's Rides goodness in 2020!!
