A useful video for me to maintain my own reel thank you, can i ask why daiwa uses a softer main gear metal rather than stainless steel gear as in the pinion ?🙂
Why not change the pinion & main bearings while you do the main driver gear? #2 ive made a probe( cuticle remover style tool ) from 3/32" & 3/8" brass round stock for what you were doing, why brass ? It wont scratch things as easily as stainless or carbon steel will..think on doing that..Wayne
