HMX is bonkers. Got some Hyacinths V2U myself a couple of weeks ago. No wobble, perfect lube job, full travel pole bottom out, nice clean clack sound, no unit variation/inconsistencies, $.28 (!!!) per switch. They just feel so well made, hard to understand how can they be so cheap when objectively crappier switches are significantly more expensive. I, for one, welcome our new switch overlords.
@@andrewcatubig9239stuff like jwk's nowadays, there's a high chance your jwk linears will come with leaf ping and an almost 100% chance your tactiles will come with leaf ping aswell. sometimes you can get away with it by lubing the leaf but with jwk their leaf's are sometimes so bad no mod can save it and yet they still sell these switches for $.65 and more. that's just one of the few instances on higher price yet lower quality
keeb taro measured these as 3.6mm actual travel with a caliper. the hmx hyacinth v2u do have the full 4mm travel but a long pole stem and bottom out, which feels quite interesting. they were way too loud for me though. agree with the consistent factory lube job, but what impressed me the most was the complete lack of stem wobble. hmx switches are tight af
I have always been a long pole enjoyer. But the concept of full travel with a long pole bottom out sounds awesome to me. I get weary though when I see switches that have less than a 3.5mm travel because that sounds too short too me. I try to stay within the 3.6-3.8 range if possible.
4.00 mm travel that bottoms out on the stem pole sounds interesting! I’m pretty long-poled out at the moment, actually been breaking in some mx blacks on a machine the last few weeks, hopefully it’ll be worth it 😂
Just a small note you mentioned the Mekanisk vendor's exclusive switches. Those switches are Ultramarines not aquamarines. I think it has to do with Space marines.
Can u make a video mentioning how many silent switchs with rubber are there.? Even in a short its Ok. There is no need to buy or make a review about them.
Could you please do a video of THE BEST OVERALL switches - Forget about money please - some of us earn enough money to buy anything we want so PLEASE can we see what the BEST SWITCHES are without mention of cost -
Haha I think "best" is very subjective, because everyone is looking for their own unique experience! But I think the beauty of the current switch scene is that there are objectively "better" switches (on metrics like CRAP sounds, wobble, etc) that cost less than more "premium" switches like certain JWK's, Zeal's offerings, etc. So the cost per switch is an objective metric that I use to benchmark quality, if that makes sense?
@@MakerMods - ty for the reply - let me rephrase my request - is it possible to do a switch review of all the top rated switches without ANY mention of price - for those of us that can afford anything regardless of cost - :)

it really is crazy how switches are getting higher in quality yet lower in price nowadays
Hmm. Curious about expensive ones yet low quality
