Well, gentlemen, this is it. Epic is oficially pulling the plug on all the Unreal franchise on 01.01.2023. and ending all support and for old games, also removing them from Steam and Epic stores. It was nice knowing you all, see you on the other side.

@@unrealengine1enhanced It is over. Deal with it. People are just not interested in these type of games anymore. Check out Quake: Champions. It`s a lovely arena shooter, awesome gameplay, proper old school run`n`gun feeling, music is great, maps are cool, overall it`s all you need as an arena shooter lover, though servers are empty and noone is playing it. I have to wait for eternity for someone to join in random deathmatch. The concept is expired, unfortunately. Maybe one day in the future, but not now, not with the existing gamer community... Not with PubG and Fortnite fans...

What bullshit are you talking? The spirit of Unreal lives on in all modern games thanks to the Unreal Engine and especially in the future Unreal Engine 5. So every gamer noob will be confronted with this name at some point. A fantastic legacy.

Might just be the last ode to the Unreal Tournament we'll ever get. If I ever happen to own a space-grade rocket, I'll pack some copies of Unreal Tournament and send it to outer space with this music playing eternally on a loop...until it gets discovered by a civilization millions of years into the future and hopefully gets developed further.
Or just you know, fund the development yourself.

This song originally signaled the return of Unreal, but instead became it's requiem. I've played a lot of multiplayer FPS games and I don't think any of them were as just straight up fun as UT. It was just an absolute joy to play whether you were tryharding in a competitive match or goofing off on heavily modded public servers. GGs Unreal, I hope Epic lets you respawn someday.

Half-Life 3 and UT4 (as anything more than an alpha) are probably lost dreams, just like Neil Manke’s “They Hunger 2: Lost Souls” (Black Widow Productions). This song is a mournful call to the spirit of UT to bring this franchise back. 😢

In 1998, I bought a gaming magazine while visiting Germany and Unreal was on the cover. After reading the details, I knew it was a start of a revolution in the gaming world. Throughout the years, I played every single version of the Unreal franchise.

Ah, my childhood. Playing Unreal tournament 2000, facing worlds, forgone desteuction playing in the back ground. Sniping bots from the top of my teams tower. Thoose were the days where fun was limitless, life was simple, and gaming wasnt industrialized as much as it is now. It is really true that you dont know you are living in the "good old days" until they have passed.
Rest in Peace Unreal Tournament. You were too good to be true, we never deserved you. I will miss that feeling. No game can really compare to it.
These moments together will not be forgotten. Rest peacefully, old friend.

That's a killer track. Goes with the familiar DnB basis and a sine-wave based lead instrument and some atmospheric pads: three elements that bind it to Foregone Destruction, but augments that with a more energetic drum line, less of a "classic DnB" feel due to the bassline being more sustained than decaying in volume with every note, and having some nice new sounds around we haven't heard before. Also - I really like the non-obvious rhythms in the sine pluck lead, if feels like polymeter.
This song gets me sentimental. It makes me think about the beauty:

Listening this song I get very emotional, and I feel I will cry... Just I say Thanks to being alive, and live to see that Beauty.

I played UT1999 when it came out and im still playing and building nice open kitchen areas and big house areas to play in with my friends. We still playing to this day ❤ The Perfect Game to play ❤

Ohmy god! This track gave me so much emotions that my chest can't even handle. Goosebumps, closed eyes, volume up!
Just remeber when UT4 pre alpha came out, all of old hardcore heads was back online, all profesional players from ut99 2k4 , UT3 and Quake, it was like family reunion for me .. This song gives me flashbacks from that time , i will miss all my brothers from CTF,TDM and duels…
Basically? This could not be any more perfect. As others have said, this is a _marvelous_ fusion of the styles of Michiel van den Bos (1999) and Kevil Riepl (2004), giving it an air of familiarity while being it own, unique track. I'm so glad this was recommended to me while I was enjoying other _Unreal Tournament_ tracks… It's a wonderful addition.

It's fast paced, which is perfect for UT style of gameplay. But it's also calming, which may help you to keep your cool when on loosing side. Perfect combination, Timothy, great work!

Works absolutely beautifully in game. You wouldn't think something so Sarene would fit so well in an arene combat game. But it really brings the world to life. You really hit the Unreal atmosphere, love the drums and the distorted background synth. Nice work.

You can still play what was made for Unreal Tournament 4 - just not through Epic's launcher. No servers afaik but its something - a memorial full of the bots of my childhood. You will be missed UT, Timothy Seals couldn't have given you a better soundtrack for what you could have been

There are two types of music: beautiful music and thrilling music. This song is the perfect balance of the two. It's very calming and inspiring, but it's also somewhat fast-paced. I absolutely love this song! This really needs to be in UT4.

UT2K4 was my last UT game but I can clearly tell you that your track would fit CTF-Grassyknoll perfectly there. Loved its music back then.

This (and aspecially ut99) was the game who dig the people in another level of music sense. Away from cxheap popo music to somethig different most never heard before. i was great time were music was important part in game dev. Deus ex was last in thuis type of music mood making

If you think understanding this means "support the growth of epic games" you have a serious problem. In business there is no place for feelings, every decision is based on profit, if you cant understand this you should stay in your room and play more computer games for the rest of your life only.

The best music of UT4. Too bad Epic didn't gave a chance to the game, but when I was playing that game I was such a fan of this piece of work and I'm still is, feels good to hear this again.
Sounds very UT2004-ish but with a ton of UT99 in the mix. tl;dr - It rules.
UT2004 tracks are generic in comparison with this. I use custom tracks almost every time when I play UT2004, for a good reason, but that's just me.

it's probably because both soundtracks are part of the drum and bass music genre.
UT2k4 is more industrial than this. Both are great soundtracks with great stand-outs but different (and they also kinda follow the trends of the times, Q3 also had a very industrial soundtrack).
Aaaand I'm back here. Again. And it makes me sad. It breaks my heart, for real. But I can't stop, I'm always back. Never forgetting, never moving on.

very smooth yeah? I still say that the unreal gold/return to napli soundtrack and original unreal tournament GOTY edition 1999 were the better soundtracks. In fact I drew a ton of inspiration from those games stories and soundtracks and am applying it to an upcoming game called "chaos" releasing on pc and xbox one late summer 2019
