Very thorough and technical. One of if not the best FH Throwing Instructional video I've seen. It's great to see Eric make the throws he's teaching!

Love this video. To add another safety note; If it’s cold outside, it’s easier to strain ligaments. My baseball coaches were crazy about this. If it was below 70, us pitchers wore long sleeves. Stay warm, stay loose!

I agree. DD, Eric, and Danny, thanks for a great job! I've shared the video with my 40+ (well past 40 for some) Saturday morning crew. You discussed several key problems typical of players, that I've seen in my crew, including a few of my own faults. I'm anxious to apply your tips. Any chance you'll make similar video focusing on "domey" discs and putters?

This is immediately the best forehand clinic on the internet. Eric hits on points that so many others ignore, forget, or just take for granted. He has a extremely intricate understanding of forehand mechanics. In this clinic he talks extensively about seemingly small, but very important things about the forehand throw that most high-level players just end up figuring out on their own over years and years of practice, largely due to lack of in-depth information like this.

As a person who has played disc golf for 20+ years without a serviceable forehand drive, this video is greatly appreciated. I've been putting some of this advice to great use and have seen my scores drop and all of a sudden I see the course a bit differently with the ability to attack it from both sides of the fairway. Thank you guys for putting this video together.

Thanks Eric! You have THE best forehand instruction here. I only wish I had this info before attempting forehands. I'm surprised Seth didn't mention finger injuries, but I guess it's not as common. I only mention it because I've been recovering from one such and my game has suffered as a result. Seems with the prevalence of "palm up" instruction, I attempted shots with a grip oriented with "pads on the plate". Wasn't much of an issue until I really tried to crank out shots for some distance, and even then it wasn't instantaneous. Anyway, thanks again for the great content

i actually really like just a forefinger on the disc for a forehand shot. i used to throw the stacked forehand grip, but the one finger really lets me control the angle easier. i have not lost any distance going from 2 fingers to one.

Great videos, almost exactly what I have been searching for in terms of technical information for disc golf. The only feedback I have is just saying names of different disc is not very helpful for new players, but just giving a type like putter midrange or driver, understable overstable. You could also add numbers for speed turn and fade, to help give an idea of how it acts and why one would choose a disc in a given situation 👍

Hope you’re still reading comments on this one. Question regarding what your hand/fingers do into release and just after. Are you using your fingers to push the disc rim to impart spin? Do you open the hand slightly to get a smooth release? The disc always grabs my first knuckle (palm side) causing a hideous flight.
Any SLO-mo at release would be appreciated to show what the hand/wrist/fingers do.

Since that I’ve got better with my backhand, and have way more balance of throws and wear and tear. Coming out of this winter into the quarantine of spring 2020, I’ve been able to practice more putting and approach shots but I feel like I’m pulling my flicks left now. Is that just timing I need to get back or am I rolling my wrist? I really need some field work to get my flick drives back on target. Thanks again
