Wow just found your channel and loved it so I subscribed I’ve seen so many of these tins made but yours is absolutely the most gorgeous and unique one ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Well, I had a hard time finding it in the states. I will give the link below, but I will say that someone on the IOD Creative Tribe group page shared with me that Folk Art makes a moss effect product. She didn’t know, however, if it reacts the same by puffing up when heated. Here is the link... daliartmarket.co.uk/products/pentart-moss-grass-and-velvet-effect
Thank you! Some are in the description box below the video. The moss effect paste I ordered from Etsy. I don’t have a link; just google Pentart moss effect paste.
Какое интересное применение жестяных банок !!! Мне очень понравилось, попробую сделать себе. Только как и чем сузили донышко банки, у вас так ровно. Спасибо !
Thank you, they are fun to make. You must have missed the video on preparing the tin can. It’s the video right before it and it’s linked in the description box of this video. 👍🏻
@@designsbyJ Да,да,да, позже я просмотрела как донышко нужно делать . Где вы с дрелью делаете дырочки чтобы повесить это прекрасное изделие !!! Обожаю! когда женщины умеют обращаться с инструментом !!!!
Great video! Thank you for sharing your work. Would you mind sharing where you got the metal spatula you used to remove the excess clay from the mold? It looks like it works really well.
Thank you very much! Those are called Japan scrapers and are used to apply Venetian plaster in very thin coats. I had them from my years of faux finishing back in the day.
Hi, turned out fantastic. I didn't see it listed; but could you tell me where to find the I.D mold so I can get that special look? Thank you for sharing your Art projects and clever ideas to achieve them.
Thank you! If you will scroll the comments and replies, you will see a discussion about the moss and a link. It’s an international product and I couldn’t find in the states, but there is an American made product that MAY do the same thing. 👍🏻
This is an Iron Orchid Design transfer. On their website you can find a Stockist near you, or an online store near you. Any sealer will work, but I used a water based sealer called Polyvine. I also use Amy Howard’s matte sealer and Dixie Belle’s satin sealer. You can even use a spray sealer.
The cans are not flat or smooth, so the clay needs to be glued on before it dries. Plus I wrapped the clay at the bottom edge around the the whole can. That’s not possible if it dries. 👍🏻
I’m not sure what you mean; there was no stencil used. Both the transfer and the mould listed in the video are Iron Orchid Designs products. If you google the company, there will be a link to click on to find the nearest Stockist in your area or the nearest online store. 👍🏻

In that prep video I show drilling the holes in the sides of the can about a half inch down from the top edge.
@@designsbyJ Очень круто !!!!
Love this
Thank you so much!
🌼🌼🌼Luv it...just curious why u didn't paint can 1st??
Thank you! Do you mean before smashing the bottom closed? If so, because a hammer would mess up the paint job.
Lovely. Thank you.

Thank you! The mould is Iron Orchid Designs Trimmings mould #1. If you go to their website, you can click on a dealer near you.

Absolutely love this...
Wondering where did you get the transfer
Thank you ....also what did you use to seal it....

Do you let the clay dry or glue it on the can wet
The cans are not flat or smooth, so the clay needs to be glued on before it dries. Plus I wrapped the clay at the bottom edge around the the whole can. That’s not possible if it dries. 👍🏻
Love this! Great process and result! Where did you find the moss paste? Thanks for sharing! Subscribed!
Thank you! I ordered it from an Etsy shop. Just search Pentart moss Effect Paste.
NICE......

tin can. where did you find your clay stencil

Do you have to be nuts to do this?
Thank you, I think? Lol
