I've always own a Wrangler and every 3-4 years I move up for a newer wrangler since 2005. I've owned a 2016 Wrangler Hardrock and in 2018 I special ordered a Wrangler Rubicon Recon. But in 2021 I special ordered a Gladiator Rubicon with all the special options. I now have close to 34,000 miles and have driven on some of the worst roads and also drove from lower part of Maryland to up state NY, doing 70-78mph and it rides like a dream. The only after market item installed was a Volant Cold Air Intake and it did increase my power and fuel mileage . I get 16.2-16.8 average.Out of all my Jeeps, this one drives and handles the best. I moved our entire contents from our old home to our new home in 3 days with this Gladiator. It took us to a severve snow storm in PA and only needed 4wd once due to the heavy ICE on a back road. I'm 75 and still enjoy my Gladiator! Yanni
75 years young and still rockin! I’m happy to hear you love your Gladiator. It sounds like you’re not afraid to tackle any obstacle in your rad machine. Thx for watching!
Great review Thank-you. I have the ,21 Mojave fabtech 2" lift with 35" tires. And could not agree more on the towing. I was very hesitant towing my 5500lb boat but she is very capable of towing. Love mine not a single issue at 20,000 miles and she is a pickup. The best part.
Capable & Fun! What's not to love right?! Towing is easy with the Gladiator. Truck bed for the win everyday! Do you use a bed cover? If so, which one??
@@DavidWaldrip I have the JT factory soft tonneau cover option and still really like it after all this time. In ten days it’ll be five years of ownership/use. 👍
@pwrofgrayskull I’m with you and on loving the soft drinks I’ll cover. It rocks. I’m amazed that it hasn’t faded at all. Congrats on 5 years! How many miles? Did you add an extended warranty?
@@DavidWaldrip 50,819 trouble-free miles on her and counting. Nope, no extended warranty here. I waited about a year or so to add the 2 inch AEV lift and 37s. Still rocking that setup. I did finally find a deal on a factory soft top this summer and love how well it matches the bed cover. Probably should be adding a winch with the wheeling I do, but haven’t invested in one yet.
I have a 2020 Launch Edition Gladiator and everything you said about the towing and off road is so true. I added a two inch lift with 35s and love the appearance. I tow a 26’ toy hauler that weighs 5k dry and pull with a Seadoo RXT 300 inside.
Nice! The launch Edition Gladiator was cool. Wasn't that the model that had every feature including the super rad Bluetooth speaker behind the rear seat?
Thanks for the real world appraisal. You sound like a genuine Jeep lover. I'm planning on getting mine this fall at retirement. Adding some aux lights and a few goodies but mostly stock. She'll go and pull anything that I want. Good health my friend and may God bless
Fall is my favorite time of year to drive a Jeep. Although there’s no bad time. Thank you for watching my video. I hope you enjoy your retirement and Jeep are both fantastic. I believe they will be
@@DavidWaldrip Thank you Sir. Oh, I"m so looking forward to stirring that 6spd.....and you're right....any time is wonderful..lol Again, thank you and God bless ya.David.
Good video! I have a 2019 Overland with 152,000 miles. It's on the Mopar lift with 37s. I offroad and/or rock crawl, tow a camper, mini camper, and ATV trailer, and haul stuff. Just towed my 4,000lb trailer across four states. If my jeep could talk, I would let it do it's own review because it would have some stories for you. If you ever saw some of the stuff on my channel that I've done and continue to do, you'd think I was crazy. Well.... maybe I am a little. Like my dad used to say, "Why have a toy if you're not gonna play with it?" Luckily for me, the Jeep can double as a toy and work vehicle.
We are all a little crazy 🤠 You sound like you’ve squeezed every drop of fun and utility out of your Gladiator. Your dad made a good point. You’ve inspired me to push my Gladiator even harder and farther. I appreciate your comment! Stay tuned for more adventure vids!
@@DavidWaldrip Yes. I try to get every drop out of every vehicle I own. My dad and mom are my heroes. He's an old backwoods country guy, but his words always make sense and always have a purpose. But, you're welcome. It's always great to hear everyone's experience because we all have different experiences. But sometimes when we listen to others and their experience, it actually helps us learn more about ourselves and our vehicles. And you had a great video with a great review. We learn from each other. So, I appreciate your video! I will definitely be on the lookout for more vids. Stay safe out there!🤙🤙
I have a 2021 Gladiator Willys, 3.6 Gas, 3.73 gears and no lockers. 2" lift, running 33" BFG AT. I tow a teardrop trailer a LOT. I'm very happy with it and my wheeling is about like yours - I'm not trying to conquer the worst trail in the mountains, but it will go anywhere I need to get to. I wonder if I might end up regretting not having the lockers, but so far so good.
It sounds like you and I have similar off-roading styles. Teardrop trailers are cool. It sounds like you get a lot of use out of your Gladiator & trailer! Keep rockin! 🗺️ Don't sweat the lockers. You are still driving an offroad beast!
I bought a new fully loaded 2020 Rubicon that I built up on 37s. I do a lot of fishing, hunting, and camping and I loved it, especially off-road. Nothing beats its off road capabilities, ensuring you can get where you need to go. BUT, I couldn’t get over how uncomfortable it was. At 6’2” the seat comfort is atrocious, the on road wander, wind noise, wind push, etc would just beat you into submission. I couldn’t stand to be in it for more than 2 hours without needing a break. I told myself it’s just a Jeep thing but saying it and living it are different things. I sold it and bought a Raptor and the comfort is otherworldly. The Gladiator will always have a special place in my heart but the Raptor can actually get me nearly anywhere I needed my Gladiator to get me in total comfort.
I appreciate your comment. I work from home so I don't have small commutes. If I have to travel for work, it's hours at a time. If I go on vacation, we take my car since it sits. I've always wondered about the comfort level of driving a lego brick on long durations and I'm also 6'2", so thanks!
“Lego brick” is very comfortable for me. I have driven it across the country for the better part of 3 years. The OP Complaining about the seats in a modern vehicle is interesting to say the least as they are all pretty plush. I’m 6’1”. Love the Gladiator. It’s a tight fit for people above 6’2”
I know this is an old comment. But if you still have the Gladiator, try the "Desert Does It" front seat spacers. i'm 6'2" and they changed the seating comfort so much. I got the smaller spacers so it doesn't affect my wife too much when she drives. My 2 & 4 year olds still fit in their car seats.
Awesome Review I have the 2021 Sport Oscar Mike Upgrade Edition package and heavy Towing package with 33's I am going to upgrade to 35's I love how smooth it is on the highway & still looks bad Ace!
You are so right about it being smooth on the highway. While still be bad enough to tackle almost all trails. Which 35's are you getting? My guess is... Ridge Grapplers??
Great review Dave, liked your down to earth assesment. When you get one of these it seems like they are everywhere. When AMC sold Jeep to Chrysler it was close to the deal of the Indians selling Manhattan for 24 dollars in beads.
I purchased a 2020 Rubicon Gladiator on President’s Day Weekend in 2020, just about a month before the country shut down due to Covid. I’m just about at 19k miles. I’m still enjoying my truck, love that I can take the freedom panels off. I have a truck bed tent, and really nice inflatable air mattress for it. So I enjoy camping with it. But I have an interest in the 392, maybe I wouldn’t if Jeep would of had a bigger engine option with the Gladiator platform.
You picked the right time to buy! Glad you are still enjoying yours. I love mine! My engine gets the job done so I haven't really looked at other options. Keep those freedom panels off and rock on!
I love my 22 Rubicon Gladiator. I added a 2.5 in lift and run 35's. I have zero issues with the truck. Came out of a 2016 Tacoma TRD off road and I like the Gladiator much more.
What brand is your lift? It sounds like you’ve got a nice setup. People don’t realize how “fun” the Jeep Gladiator truly is. Top off rolling anywhere you want to go!
@@DavidWaldrip I actually misspoke. It's really not a "lift" just a basic leveling kit from Teraflex. I am running 35x10.50's because I wanted tall and skinny look. Quite a bit of clearance and with the narrow tires I can do a fully locked turn with zero rubbing.
I’ve got a ‘21 Gladiator Sport S. Had an F150 4x4 before my Jeep. No comparison. In a world luxury trucks that feel like cars on the inside, this thing is as masculine as it comes. I love mine. I’ve got 42k miles and never had a single issue. I live in Florida, handles fantastic on the beach where as my heavy F150 would struggle in really soft sand. If you’re a wrangler guy, honestly also no comparison. It’s a totally different vehicle. Highly recommend the Gladiator.
I could not agree more with everything you said. The Gladiator is a super tough go anywhere vehicle. It is honestly the most fun 4 wheel vehicle I've ever owned. Glad to hear you have had no issues. Keep rockin! Thx for watching!
Nice review. If only they'd put a 6' foot bed on the dang thing. I refuse to buy a truck I can't sleep comfortably in with a shell. Not interested in towing a camper or a soft side or rtt. I like to travel light, fast and stealthy with no setup. Will the Jeep do 80-90 mph comfortably? That's one thing I love about my ram 2500 diesel, you can run hard all day long and the only negative is lousy fuel economy
I’ve got a 22 gladiator Rubicon eco-diesel. I did the same 2 inch Mopar kit and I love it just waiting on 37s. I’m glad to see you have such positive reviews for your set up.
I bought a '23 Silverado back in December and seriously considered getting a Jeep Gladiator. I can't remember why/how I talked myself out of getting one. I wish I would have gotten a Gladiator.
Nice video David. Thank you for posting. I also have a 2022 JT Rubicon which our family loves. For comparison, my 2008 Tundra 5.7L 6 spd auto also gets 11-12 mpg towing the same trailer weight. Although I will say I've had zero power issues on the Tundra going uphill over the great divide in Colorado and such. Haven't put the JT to that test yet, but it is a way more fun vehicle.
I agree with you totally in regard to the FUN factor. Nothing tops a Jeep❗️ Except maybe a motorcycle BUT that's a different style vehicle. Want to explore the world. Buy a Jeep and start taking the long way round 🗺️
The freedom top is the reason I bought a gladiator. After putting on 30K, I’ve found there is a lot more to love. Also, the Tazer JL is a great option for customizing features.
The freedom top is absolutely amazing! Possibly my favorite feature. You said it well after owning for a while you find plenty more to love! Gladiator = Freedom Vehicle 🇺🇸
I agree it's a Great Vehicle I love mine, question where did you get the LED lights on your grill, an dhow did you hook them up I been thinking about getting a set,
The lights are ORACLE LIGHTING UNIVERSAL PRE-RUNNER STYLE LED GRILL LIGHT KIT (NEW STYLE) www.oraclelights.com/products/oracle-lighting-universal-pre-runner-style-led-grill-light-kit-new-style?rq=mk_jeep~md_gladiator-jt~yr_2020 Took the grill out and attached them directly using black zip ties. I went with the smoked version. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching.
Thanks for the honest review . Plan to buy a gladiator. Due to all bad reviews, it scares me. I decided to look for owner reviews that's give me an idea. Thank you for sharing..
I've had mine since January of 2023 and I love it. Only had one issue with the back windshield not defrosting but it was replaced under warranty and works like a charm. I will say that the sound system isn't the best and on some songs makes a rattling noise. Other than that it can offroad like a beast.
@The1910studios I’m happy to hear how much you love your Gladiator. I have the exact same sentiment towards mine! You’re right when you say it’s an offroad beast 🦈 Do you have the upgraded factory sound system? 🔊 I have that option and have been quite pleased with it. But the basic included audio is weak for sure.
@DavidWaldrip Thank you. I have a toyota tacoma Limited 2021. I'm not happy with it. Had issues with leakage. Take them 7 months to get fixed.. I'm glad to all owners review.
Hey David always like watching your videos I'm a big fan of my gladiator as well! A lot of your accessories and modifications have been an inspiration to me. It's interesting that you just mentioned your rear glass leaked. My 2021 rear glass leaked as well, unfortunately I didn't discover it until 37,000 miles and neither the dealership nor Jeep customer care would take full responsibility for replacing it. I had to pay $300 to get it replaced last week. I think that most of us encounter this issue and that it's pretty sad that jeep doesn't put a recall in the to replace it, safety or not. Anyway I like your roof rack that may be my next mod...
Happy to hear that you are enjoying your Gladiator. Bummer about your rear glass not being under warranty. However $300 is less than I would have expected you to tell me it cost. Glad my videos have been a bit helpful. I love my Front Runner rack. They make quality gear / parts. Would highly recommend! Thank you for watching Ronnie!
IDK...I want the bed of the gladiator but my 4Xe 2.0T get's 24mpg with the gas engine alone, and easily 600+miles on a single tank just charging overnight daily. 0-60mph in the 5's for a Jeep is also a shocker for most people lol.
That is some impressive mileage. My Gladiator lives in remote areas much of the time for multiple nights so I wouldn't be able to charge up. Glad you are in the Jeep family! Thank you for watching!!
Hey brother! Great vid. I have a JKU. Black on black on black. I too am a full timer. Just my German shepherd and I. 4 1/2 yrs and 47 states down. I own a new RPod 180.. only 20 ft but it’s time to go bigger. And because the JKU’s suck balls at towing I think it’s time I get a gladiator. The fact that you get 9-11 with 37’s is sweet! I get about 9 with 35’s and my RPod weighs 2,900 dry. But I’ll be getting a bigger RPod so now I’m just debating on which Jeep and color. I love my all blacked out Jeep. My BBB. Big Black Beauty. Or my Big Black Bitch when she’s feeling dirty! Haha But I’m not a fan of the black on the gladiators. I was gonna go gray but the white Jeeps always caught my eye. With a ton of black accents and gear they can look sick! And I’m finally gonna get 37’s. I’ve always wanted to go bigger than my 35’s. I’m no crazy off roader either. I’ve been to Moab.. Colorado trails but I’m not risking my Jeep on any of those trails. I need my Jeep to live. Haha But thanks for the vid. I can’t believe I’m gonna try to find a white gladiator. Yours looks sick! SUBSCRIBED and who knows.. maybe I’ll see you on the road. Haha Btw… the Badlands are awesome!!! And so are the hundreds of THE WALL signs along the way. Haha
I want a Mojave manual transmission so bad!!! They got two down the road for like $15k off MSRP…4.56 and the 35 inch tires would be so sweet if there was a Mojave Extreme Recon package…Does 4L disable the traction control or the brake “limited slip”?…that trailer is so sweet….
you know there was a time when all I wanted was to buy this truck, now that I have the ability to buy literally any truck I want, the decision is all of a sudden, difficult. Great review though...
The paradox of choice. Congrats on being able to afford any truck you like! That’s a big achievement! 🏆 👏🏼 Make drive a beater and invest the money? 💰 Thx for watching! 🎥
Good video and I like your setup. One thing: red front lights are illegal most everywhere in the US as white distinguishes the front of the vehicle and red distinguishes the rear. You might want to add a disclaimer.
I love my Gladiator. Only thing I regret about it is not getting a rubicon with all the possible options as it's pain to add it all layer. And costs a lot. Better to just pay the price up front. Bite the bullet.
I got rubicon and thought I am going to replace bumper and light and possibly fender. So I went with plastic, Halogen and plastic. WRONG choice!! After really get into all aftermarket bumpers and light, I had to go back to square one and get a steel bumper (clean design, recessed Winch and be able to be both stubby and full width) and light are far better than after markets. So I replace them all with factory version. These are my mistake, but I got all other options down to Bed liner spray! So far we went to several off road trips mostly in moderate to low difficult trails and I love it. 3.5”, 35 tires, bedracks RTT, Tera flex shocks and lift kit, teraflex wheels (air down is easy and it comes with rash rings and easily replace if scratch happens on trail) and full version of a ping gears!! The beauty is, I can strip it down and make a whole lot new car! 👍👍
Howdy, David -- what brand rack do you have on the roof? I'm putting together a '24 overland build and trying to decide on what that solution will be. Yours looks pretty slick!
All the details are in a video on my channel called New Frontrunner Rack + Gear For The Purge. Congrats on your new Gladiator! I’m excited for you. Hope this helps! Keep me posted!
@@GhostiatorMost welcome my friend. If any of the videos are helpful please consider giving them a thumbs up 👍🏼 and maybe leaving a comment. Helps me with the algorithm 🤠
Hi David, Great video. Thanks for the honest review. Any chance you might share the front bumper light bar name and part number? It’s low profile and looks just right to my eyes. All the other ones I’ve seen are huge.
Is he driving with an Automatic or Manual Transmission? I think there is a towing difference; manual transmission about 4500? Automatic 7000? Correct me if I'm wrong please. I've never owned a Jeep before and I'm interested in the Gladiator with manual transmission.
Hey there friend I don’t know any specs for manual but I believe you’re correct. Also different trim levels have different towing capacity. Rubicon is 7,000lbs. Mine is an automatic.
I have seen some factory half doors with zip off windows on another Jeep. My guess with be yes. You definitely can purchase the aluminum tune half doors. I want a set but I’m not sure if my new puppy would jump out. What’s your thought? Would the puppy be okay with tube doors? ( 5 months old ) Thx for watching! 📸 Would love for you to subscribe
Keyword FUN! There's no truck like a Gladiator. Yeah you can get other midsize trucks that can off-road. Yeah you can get other midsize trucks that can tow. Etc... but none of them do everything with so much character and funfactor. Absolutely love my Mojave and don't regret my purchase one bit even after the "honeymoon" faze. I've got 15k on the odometer and still can't get enough of my truck.
You are correct! No vehicle like it. Top off. Doors off. Truck bed. Lift kit. Whatever and wherever. It’s the adventure vehicle! Glad you’re loving yours! Thanks for watching 🎥
@@DavidWaldrip living in Orlando it's even better. Taking the top/doors off and hitting the beach is by far my favorite thing to do. Also plenty of decent trails and Jeep community events too. I never realized just how big and diverse the Jeep community is. I'm loving it.
Hey David, Mine is auto, 8 speed. Live at 8300 ft in Colorado. From 3 to 4 gear and 4 to 5 it takes quite awhile to shift to next gear. Runs between 4000-5000 rpm’s between shifts. Just seems like it takes longer than it should to hit the next gear.
I seriously hopes Jeep works on the the range and mpg on the gladiator and that is a very important aspect for any vehicle these days. I wont be pulling anything. So, off roading and hunting vehicle camping vehicle is where I am at. I'd like to be able get off the grid and not worry about my mpg. Sorry but I think jeep needs to step it up and work on this issue.
Jeep actually is working on it. JK to JL they put in an 8 speed tranny, windshield raked back 3 degrees, start stop motor, aluminum panels, front axle disconnect. All this helped but if you want mpg buy diesel.
I bought a 2023 Mojave for a hunting truck. I mostly drive logging roads which can be deeply rutted and full of mud. It's been great. I'm keeping it stock.
I’m not a truck person but this Jeep looks nice. If I’d had one it would be With a shorter bed, it look nicer. I don’t need a long bed as long as i can fit my mountain bikes.
Are those the BR Armory wheels? if not, which model are they? what are the offsets and backspacing? I'm looking to get black rhinos on mine with 35s but i've been waffling because I don't have a good understanding of the offsets and backspacing. What I want is to maintain the same 17 inch wheels with another inch of width to accommodate some 35 ko2s while maintaining my tires being mostly or entirely within the rubicon fenders. any thoughts would be appreciated.
My wheels are BR Arsenal -18 offset www.wheelpros.com/black-rhino-arsenal You can see more about my setup in the video title Jeep Truck With Mopar Lift and 37 Inch Trail Grapplers I still don't fully understand the offset / wheel thing. I wasn't sure when I ordered them but got lucky. They stick out just a bit. The wider stance gives it more stability and a more aggressive look. Like you I wanted my tires to stay inside the fenders. Now I like my wheel out just a bit. I ran 35's on stock rims for a year. Hope this helps!
Congratulations on getting a Gladiator!! I believe I was getting 13-15mpg. That’s not while towing a trailer. I really like the efficiency of 35’s with NO lift but eventually I decided the Gladiator needed atleast two inches of lift to have the look I wanted. Thank you for watching!

Guys i got a question. So I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Sport S with an ecodiesel motor. I have a 2" mopar lift kit on it and i have installed rubicon fenders so i have more space between the wheen and the fender to allow me to put bigger wheels. Question is because my jeep is not a rubicon and doesn't have the same gearing, what would i need to do to run 37" wheels? I really dont want 35's. If anyone knows, please let me know.
Sounds like you’ve got a really nice Gladiator. If you want to go with 37’s you will just need to make sure the offset of your wheel allows enough space so that the tire doesn’t scrub / bump when turned all the way. A good Jeep shop or 4x4 place can help you get the right product. You can fit 37’s on now with your current setup easily. My Black rhino wheels are a -18 offset Hope this helps!
I bought a 2022 gladiator rubicon, I have driven 300 miles on it and only get 9-10 mpg in the city and 11 average. I called the dealer and they stated that it’s normal with jeep. Any thoughts on this? ( the jeep is stock)
A lot depends on how you drive it. Some people like to smash that pedal down to the floor constantly. That will reduce mpg quickly on a Jeep. Mine got 12-14 mpg before bigger tires and lift. Now averaging 10-11mpg As you know people don't buy Jeeps for fuel mileage : ) Have fun and congrats on your new Jeep!
Driving in the dirt through a puddle is not off roading. You need a 3.5 in lift to run 37s, then again if you do anything more than drive in the dirt. You will definitely break something.
The Fox shocks suck on my 21 Mojave, terrible creaking sound in the front. Shocks at front being replaced under warranty, on back order from China since December. Glad my truck is stock, as the dealer would have rejected the warranty claim unless Mopar mods. Buyer beware. Over $8000 dollars Canadian funds. Dealer said not the first bad set they have seen.
Bummer about your Mojave. Do you have Fox Shocks? 🦊 The Fox Shocks on my Gladiator are made in Georiga 🇺🇸 My truck is stock as well. Almost all upgrades were purchased through Mopar and installed by dealers custom department. Good luck with the new shocks. Hope they treat you well!
Not great. Since I re-geared ⚙️ to 5:13 ratio I now get 13 on the average. When towing I’m around 10. But it’s not a concern me because I knew going in this wasn’t a vehicle that would get good mileage but it sure is a lot of fun! 🤠
No rattle. Slight wind noise but I believe I've solved that issue by adding adding rubber to the open channels. www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/front-runner-t-slot-rubber-beading.html
Right but it doesn't have that front locking diff nor the electronically controlled sway bar disconnect. It is also not geared as low in 4WD making it less proficient in any type of crawling activity, and less torque if you had to tow in 4WD.
@@magniankh My comment didn’t have anything to do with your reply. My comment only had to do with being an inch taller than the Rubicon. You forgot to mention that the Mojave has a stronger frame and better suspension than the Rubicon. My Mojave has been all over the United States hitting the trails with no problems. Have a great day. I wasn’t dogging the Rubicon. It’s an amazing Jeep. I just wanted a JEEP that fit my needs.
good review. I’m selling in my ‘18 Sierra (for profit) and buying a 2022 Rubi with 6k miles on it. I’m excited and kind of nervous. Always wanted one for a lot of above mentioned comments but half scared i’ll miss the room and comforts of the z71 premium plus package. I already bought 35’s for it. Went with Toyo at III. You could not go wrong with either. I had 35 Ridge Grapplers for a long while. Probably the best middle of the road tire there is. Good mix between road / mud tire 🛞 So get the ridge grappler. After a while you’ll probably get the trail grappler 🗺️ 😎
if they do a deisel it needs to be a V8 deisel like toyota does 4.5 v8 that’s a beast of a engine but sorry 3.6 v6 is wrong for this jeep . but a cool truck for sure
I enjoy mine a lot. They did have a diesel but unfortunately they were not available in 2020 when I bought mine. Now they are discontinued. Next up is the partial electric ⚡️ I believe it’s called the 4XE. Will be interesting to see what people think 🚗 🔋
@@DavidWaldrip jeep uses a italian deisel once again under powered and a dog of a engine. the problem today is we got Woke people running the show and make moronic decisions
@@alextrainor2552 the 3.6 is just way too underpowered for the weight of the vehicle. that's in stock form...i couldn't even begin to imagine how awful towing would be. Other issues like horrible build quality...the passenger floorboard would get filled up with water every time it rained..had to keep the drain plugs pulled but the truck always stayed damp inside due to the wet carpet.. Side view mirrors too small, to the point of being nearly useless. The blind spot detection upgrade is mandatory due to this. For offroad, the break over angle is just ridiculous...you need a massive lift kit and 40's just to make it decently capable. Also the departure angle from the bed overhang is almost unmanageable. Really they need to go back to the drawing board on this truck. They have had concepts that were much better designed.
@wvjeepguy81 @wvjeepguy81 fair points for someone with a Wrangler use case, but I like the Gladiator for the things the Wrangler cannot do. I like how the mirrors are tucked off-road, and I have tow mirrors when I need them. The thing you cannot get around is the power and it might tow ok on the flats, but it's a screaming dog in the mountains. We supercharged it and installed lower gears to help.

I agree. Love my JTR. Did hard trails like Holcomb Creek and Rubicon Trail. And I drive it daily. 2.5" lift plus 37".
Sounds like you’ve got it setup nicely! Glad you’re enjoying it!
Thx 4 watching!

Thx for watching!
Don't sweat the lockers.
Good to know. This makes sense.
Can always call a Jeep to pull out your Raptor when it's stuck.
@@DavidWaldrip Yes I love the ones I have on now (Ridge Grapplers)
Fun factor driving a Jeep is off the charts!!!
You got that right! 🤠
I wanted the eco-diesel at the time of purchasing but it was not an option in 2020.
Which 37's are you getting?

I bought a '23 Silverado back in December and seriously considered getting a Jeep Gladiator. I can't remember why/how I talked myself out of getting one. I wish I would have gotten a Gladiator.
Sometimes we do things like that. The Silverado’s are really nice. Probably more luxurious! 🛻

You’re right when you say it’s an offroad beast 🦈
Do you have the upgraded factory sound system? 🔊 I have that option and have been quite pleased with it. But the basic included audio is weak for sure.
I appreciate you watching. Go get your Gladiator and have fun driving it!

Thank you.
The glass issue was unfortunate ... my glass leaked as well, but I opted to simply reseal with a Black polyurethane ... hasn't leaked since.
Good call. It’s a known issue on Gladiators. Dealer will replace if still within warranty.
Love my gladiator as well ❤❤
What's not to love! Thanks for watching Cody!

Good video and I like your setup. One thing: red front lights are illegal most everywhere in the US as white distinguishes the front of the vehicle and red distinguishes the rear. You might want to add a disclaimer.
Good point you make. Thank you.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video
I love my Gladiator. Only thing I regret about it is not getting a rubicon with all the possible options as it's pain to add it all layer. And costs a lot. Better to just pay the price up front. Bite the bullet.
Wise words. We all live and learn. Your Jeep Gladiator sounds like it’s awesome. Be happy with your build because it’s for sure solid 🦾

So, off roading and hunting vehicle camping vehicle is where I am at. I'd like to be able get off the grid and not worry about my mpg.

@6:42 what trail is this, looks awesome
This was halfway between Ouray & Telluride over Imogene Pass.
Do you still have stock gearing on 37”?
Recently upgraded to 5:13 gearing ⚙️
For me! Thoughtful lol
Do you have the max towing package?
Yes
I bought a 2022 gladiator rubicon, I have driven 300 miles on it and only get 9-10 mpg in the city and 11 average. I called the dealer and they stated that it’s normal with jeep. Any thoughts on this? ( the jeep is stock)
A lot depends on how you drive it. Some people like to smash that pedal down to the floor constantly.
That will reduce mpg quickly on a Jeep. Mine got 12-14 mpg before bigger tires and lift. Now averaging 10-11mpg
As you know people don't buy Jeeps for fuel mileage : ) Have fun and congrats on your new Jeep!
What motor? I'm getting 29-31 highway, 26 combined
The gas motor
@@DavidWaldrip I meant the fella only seeing 9 lol
2020 JTR Launch Edition, V6, 17 to 21mpg
Driving in the dirt through a puddle is not off roading. You need a 3.5 in lift to run 37s, then again if you do anything more than drive in the dirt. You will definitely break something.
I haven't once needed 3.5" inches to run 37"s. My setup has been solid. No breakage 🤠 Thx for watching and commenting!
turn up the VOLUME plz and thx
You struggled to hear my voice? I will work on the volume for future videos. Appreciate the feedback.
Really love the color you picked! Nice vehicle!
I appreciate your comment. Thx for watching!
🦊 The Fox Shocks on my Gladiator are made in Georiga 🇺🇸
My truck is stock as well. Almost all upgrades were purchased through Mopar and installed by dealers custom department.
Good luck with the new shocks. Hope they treat you well!
Does it bring any problems?
No
hows that gas mileage with those big tires?
Not great. Since I re-geared ⚙️ to 5:13 ratio I now get 13 on the average. When towing I’m around 10. But it’s not a concern me because I knew going in this wasn’t a vehicle that would get good mileage but it sure is a lot of fun! 🤠
2024 Gladiator list towing capacity as 4500 pounds!
Actually, the Mojave comes 1" TALLER than the Rubicon
do you have max towing on your gladiator
Yes, I do.
I like this one too 😄😊
Thank you!
Funfact my dream car is a jeep gladiator so yay
It’s my hope that you get one sooner rather the a later! 🤠
Any roof rack noise ?
No rattle. Slight wind noise but I believe I've solved that issue by adding adding rubber to the open channels.

At least this state I am in, it is illegal to have forward facing red lights.
Same here ⭕️⭕️
The just released Tacoma just made all Gladiators obsolete
Heck NO. Gladiator is much better. Comes with a diesel motor or a v6. There are rumors that there will be a v8 option available instead of deliesel.
What engine???
3.6l gas engine
The Mojave comes an inch higher stock than the Rubicon… SMH
You taught me something. Thanks!
Right but it doesn't have that front locking diff nor the electronically controlled sway bar disconnect.
It is also not geared as low in 4WD making it less proficient in any type of crawling activity, and less torque if you had to tow in 4WD.
@@magniankh
My comment didn’t have anything to do with your reply.
@@saclett the beefier frame is nice. Kind of wish they'd offer a mix between the two.

@@DavidWaldrip A Motorola XPR4550 remote mount UHF that cover gmrs and ham would look good in it. Take care brother!
I like what you are thinking! Thank you Will
good review. Time will tell!
There are trade offs with every choice we make in life. I have a feeling when you are out there with the top back or off you won't have any regrets 😎
What color is your Glad and what size tires will you run?? Congrats!!
@@DavidWaldrip It’s granite crystal metallic! For now, 35’s. I’ll eventually do a lift and beef up but for now I have to tread carefully with the boss here at headquarters. lol. But it’s officially in the driveway!
@@gregandbethpawluk2316 35's are a great size tire. It's in the driveway and that's the most important thing 😉
@@DavidWaldrip Truth! I’m debating between ridge grappler and toto at3. I’m open to suggestions.
You could not go wrong with either. I had 35 Ridge Grapplers for a long while.
Probably the best middle of the road tire there is. Good mix between road / mud tire 🛞
So get the ridge grappler. After a while you’ll probably get the trail grappler 🗺️ 😎
the Diesel is rated to tow LESS and cost $4k more. it's cause it can't cool. it's worse at altitude.
That’s really good info. I’ve been happy with my engine. Your points make the 3.6 seem like a solid choice for me❗️
Thanks for watching!!
@@DavidWaldrip Jeep Should have just given us the 5.7 Hemi. Solves all the problems.
if they do a deisel it needs to be a V8 deisel like toyota does 4.5 v8 that’s a beast of a engine but sorry 3.6 v6 is wrong for this jeep . but a cool truck for sure
@@DavidWaldrip it’s a very cool truck . take the gutless 3.6 out replace it with the toyota 4.5 deisel v8 and maybe you auto trans can take it ?

I drove a Gladiator for a couple weeks and it was nothing but disappointment. Think I'll stick to my Wranglers.
Why was it a disappointment?
@@krashnpa I put an Edelbrock supercharger on my 2 door JK and ended up gearing 5.13s.
@wvjeepguy81 same here on the Edelbrock. Works well so far. The 5.38s help with towing
Only convertible with one plastic window too…
They should have kept it with the 4.0.
I’m guessing you’re referring to an engine?
My barely pulls a bass boat
