The un-released deleted scene that intrigues me the most is the pursuit of Blofeld's spy/Sir Hilary's assistant at The Royal College Of Arms in OHMSS. Sadly it was never fully filmed, but I'd love to see what exists.
Apparently they filmed Lazenby running across some rooftops of London and from what I heard once again the producers Cubby & Broccoli freaked out again at seeing their cash cow Lazenby doing a lot of his own stunts even though it was Director Hunt ( and maybe John Glenn ) encouraging him, I read somewhere Bond catches Blofeld’s Spy by shooting him in the back and he falls too his death so Blofeld doesn’t end up knowing who Bond is until after they meet, it would’ve been pretty hardcore maybe that’s why they ended up ditching it but it still would’ve been cool especially with how physical Lazenby’s Bond was.
Amusingly for UK watchers, the Mr White ending was a going to be a meeting with Guy Haines played by Paul Ritter, aka the dad from Friday Night Dinner!
@@jamesatkinsonja Mr White shoots him: "It's not your fault, but they now know who you are" A Danish TV crew happened to be on set that day, shot it, and used it in their prog.
@jamie M So do I 👍🏻 I don’t know how many photos/pictures I’ve seen from that deleted scene of Bond hiding behind the rocks while both Scaramanga and Bond take shots at each other along the beach 🤷♂️ to me that was one of the things that let down MWTGG, the whole movie was getting the viewer ready for a great showdown at the end and instead it was rather underwhelming, it’s like I wish they kept the deleted scenes of Lazenby running across the rooftops of London after one of Blofields spy’s and shoots him ( preventing Blofield finding out who Bond is before they meet ) especially with how physical Lazenby’s Bond was.
@@michaelwright664 yeah it would probably be to much hassle to assemble the golden gun footage now I guess, I always thought the whole bit at the end was let down by Roger just insulting Scaramanga where Christopher lee was so cool and classy and Bond came back with cheap insults, they could have written it better.
I hate to burst the bubble of the salt puns. That was snow from the scraping of the ice. As a Canadian I take pride in my hockey knowledge. It might be better to have Bond say “snow doubt about it you guys are chilled!” Or “how’s that cool you?” “Or even “snow body does it better!”

I was very young when this movie was released. I remember it because of the theme song performed by Sheena Easton. I remember having the biggest crush on her...!!!! How time flies.
As I mentioned in the comments of your FYEO vid: in the original script, Melena made it clear to Bond that she wants to sleep with him, but won't until her parents are fully avenged. And she can concentrate on herself and love. So to some degrees Bond going off with Liesl could be sensed as a betrayal in her eyes, if her and Bond had shared enough for her to let him know she wanted to sleep with him. I think this plot thread hung around the shooting script but without the original context it's a bit hazy. I wish they'd filmed Melena's pledge, as at least it would have added more depth and chemistry to Bond and Melena's relationship, and not made that last scene seem so crowbarred in.
@@davidjames579 It's similar to Elektra much later being half Azerbaijani for the same reason [to fit the location of the film better] but both have french accents which doesn't really fit other than it's the accent of the actress they cast. I bet there's some interesting backstory on how that much crossover between two seemingly unrelated films happened... "Silver Streak" is another of my favorite movies-- it marks the first pairing of Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor, who teamed up to make a series of comedy films in the late 70's and 80's... It's basically molded on the same premise as "North by Northwest", only set mainly on a luxury train ride from Los Angeles to Chicago, as a rather typical book editor George Caldwell (Wilder) is going to his sister's wedding, and during the trip becomes friends with undercover FBI agent Bob Sweet (Ned Beatty) and romances Hilly Burns (Jill Clayburgh), the secretary to an eccentric art researcher Professor Shreiner, who ends up being killed by a rich and powerful art buyer Roger Devereaux's (Patrick McGoohan) hired muscle-- Reece (Richard Kiel) and Mr. Whiney (Ray Walston). Through a series of misadventures he finds himself thrown off the train, managing by luck to get back on, only to confront the killers and ends up getting knocked off the train again, where he ends up teaming up with petty thief Grover T. Muldoon (Richard Pryor) to get back on the train to attempt to rescue Hilly, before being discovered by Devereaux and running afoul of his thugs and having to jump off the train AGAIN, and ends up captured by the FBI for information on Devereaux, managing to get back on the train yet again as Devereaux tries to make his escape before the big climax at the end of the movie... It's really a fun film and great cast, and Devereaux's bad guy is definitely one worthy of a Bond film LOL:) I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it! OL J R :)

Because if you remember the scene she's sposed to be a manc pretending to be posh so they probably wanted to reinforce the accent before she revealed herself to be common.
It's like a lot of early Bond women where they'd just randomly dub them even though in the trailer there voice is fine [like Domino]. Silvia Trench is also dubbed despite Eunice Gayson being English.

I like the hockey scene more when I don’t know who any of the assassins are, I like to imagine Kristatos got fed up with his goons failing and decided to hire these random hockey players to take a shot at Bond instead
Think it's Ice shavings Bond dumps On sardo Numspa not salt It's from shaving the ice rink and keep the surface smooth. Remeber these deleted scenes are rough cuts not edits or "shavings" they wouldn't look so hammy if cut and edited into the film.
But it's not salt. Why would they have a small truck containing a massive amount of salt at an ice rink? It's the swept up scrapings, snow essentially, from the ice rink. The director even tells us that in the intro/commentary.
If the ice rink scene had been kept in, it would of made the death of ferrara unnecessary as bond could of saved him if not for embarrassing the henchmen.
Supposedly the small person assassin coming out of a toilet in Austin Powers was first filmed for Casino Royale and then cut (it's mentioned in an early review of the film).
They could have done a few laps of the pitch, knocked a few goals in at the other end, and then come back to lye down in the net to wait for their doom the amount of time it took that truck to reverse and then slowly raise it's load.🤣
I don’t think either of the scenes are necessary for the movie. They’re interesting to watch in the after. They probably could’ve cut out a bunch of the Zamboni scene and just cut straight to him dumping the salts… But I think left as is was good enough. I think in the past 20 years too many directors are wanting to stop movies flat to sit down and have a flashback and explain things. This was my first James Bond film so it’ll always remain my favorite… I even have the complete soundtrack that I listen to on a regular basis. So in my mind this is perfect as it is.
FYEO is really one of my very favourites, but I’ve never gotten the hockey scene. It’s really odd that a bunch of random hockey players would attack Bond (some east german skishooter is okay on the other hand 🙄) The deleted scene, awful as it is, would have made the circumstances so much clearer. They should have made the final scene such that Bond knocks off the mask revealing Charles Dance.
The hockey scene is very much an example of a bad habit of this era's of having daft jokes forced into the movie [the gondola chase in Moonraker for example].
@@ricardocantoral7672 Tone is an issue with the film. It wants to be gritty and realistic, but still wants the daft jokes [a bit like World is not enough in a way]
@@ricardocantoral7672 There are cringy stuff, I give you that, although I don’t mind them that much. Just like Licence to Kill: I love it to bits, but a lot of cringy stuff can be found there that I just want to dismiss. But the death of Blofeld, I actually love it. I feel that DAF should have been the epic send-off for Blofeld, but since it really wasn’t, I’m glad we got this pretitle sequence. It may disrespect Blofeld, but at least it’s fun and, as counterintuitive it may seem, far more epic than what we got in DAF.
@@jamesatkinsonja As I have stated in the past, this film should have marked the debut of Timothy Dalton. We would have been spared the cringe inducing humor had Tim worn the tux.
The deleted scene I want to see is the Mr White scene at the end of Quantum of Solace. It likely would spoil his scene in Spectre but that film is nigh on unwatchable anyway in my opinion. Nothing was going to save the film totally but having that scene back in QoS would have raised the film a notch from being very poor to half decent for me while also padding out the short run time..
I could see keeping the second scene IF they cut the line where Bond responds directly to her "sex life" remark. Would it work if, after she says, "I'm not interested in your sex life..." he could just say, "I need your help..." as if ignoring her comment and getting to the point. I think that could worked. Keep the scene. Just cut *part* of it.
Good observation re how the sex life talk would have shown that Melina was interested in Bond I'd have kept both scenes in but the film works still works just as well without them. Roger does come over as a father figure in this one. One of my fave scenes is the one with Bibi Dahl where she says "he still thinks I'm a virgin" and he replies " Yes well. You get your clothes on and I'll buy you an ice cream" What they should have done in the deleted scene with snow was have Bond quip to Bibi Dahl " there's your Ice cream.. don't eat the men will you".
I think it was best these scenes were left out. It gave the hockey fight scene a "Back to the Future" type ending. It doesn't make sense when people are trying to kill you. The Molina scene would have weakened the character. Her head turn in the casino made sense in that she showed an interest in what Bond was doing. Her reaction could be intepreted as jealousy or disgust. I find jealousy, without cause, lessens a person. At that point she had no claim on Bond. Writing him off as a womanizer is a sign of strength.
While I agree the line about his sex life fell off a cliff, or was it pushed?, either way, Roger Moore still looked young in that scene so all the power to him. Thats probably the first thing they shot before diving into the gin and tonics. One must go on dear boy. The accept with her deep French smokey voice could have been at least better than a Beatle WAG trying to pull off Russian. But surely, as the main henchman in the car wears glasses, and since the good guys are a team, this should have been called For Your Four Eyes Only. Oh really?, Grown Up 007.
I like that second scene but agree that something just doesn't sound right with Bond/Moore saying "my sex life", it sounds awkward. Otherwise, a very interesting moment.
I love For Your Eyes Only, but I don't buy their love either. I could say the same about Tomorrow Never Dies. Love the film, but don't really buy the romance with Wai Lin.
This also reminded me of those "private screening" adult videos of the 80's "For your eyes only" could suggest that with that one deleted scene (the title as well)!

5:40 I spotted that too. It's weird that they left the set up in the movie when they had cut out the pay off [as it is it feels quite out of character for Melina].
Carole Bouquet’s natural voice is a lot sexier, wish she wasn’t dubbed. Also love Bond’s armchair archaeology. Should have kept that one in.
It was there in the james bond comic, which I had read before watching the movie.. so I was surprised why nothing happened after the goal post broke..
M's also in the Confessional in the comic instead of Q
That eyeroll at 1:47 😃🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am dead!
Such a great series. Sad it's over! (Are there no deleted scenes from NSNA?)
Thanks, Lewis! i don't believe there are any released from NSNA... but i may well be wrong!
@@calvindyson Per IMDB: 'In the early 1990s, producer Jack Schwartzman was supposedly planning a Special Edition LaserDisc, with an all-new extended cut of this movie. There was also talk of having this movie re-scored. To date, this has not come to fruition in any form.' Would have loved to have seen that, especially without that awful score.
@@jamesatkinsonja I am curious about the extra Blofeld scenes even though I thought Max Von Sydow looked about as threatening as a librarian.
@@ricardocantoral7672 Blofeld's cat has poisoned claws, which he uses to take out an underling! Blofeld later dies when the cat scratches him by mistake! This actually was filmed.
@@davidjames579 I heard about the poison claws and not much else.
Going to miss this great series, but cross fingers we'll get some more soon 🤞
Have you thought about making a top 5 video of deleted scenes that should of had stayed yn the films? And a top 5 worst deleted scenes you're glad they pulled out :D
Carole Bouquet's voice sounds perfectly fine to me in the last deleted scene. I don't get why they dubbed her.
@@theyellowlightsaber3193 That's Countess Lisl, from Liverpool. Melena was Greek with a French accent.
These shorts should be on a second channel called CD Blerbs. Not enough Calvin!
I’ll tell you what FYEO was missing, more screen time for Max the parrot. 🦜
More Max without Maggie, even seeing her being portrayed makes me feel ill.
Max wanted a double helping of birdseed and a percentage of the gross when he returned for The Living Daylights. He ultimately had to settle for the extra bird seed and double the newspaper in his cage.
@@ricardocantoral7672 I wonder if he learnt his lines Parrot Fashion?
The film could have done with a double take from the parrot.
I always hoped for more cowbell in that gunbarrel sequence.
A superb series!
"very interesting down there"
"Nah gents. Don't get up; I can see you're positively SNOWED under." 😂 Can't deny Bond a good quip. 😂
Great vid as always Calvin. This has shaped up to be a great day with a good mood for me. This morning I got an amazing dream job offer after my Redundancy last month and it's great to have another awesome Bond video from you. Keep up the great work, mon'amie. 😊
That's AMAZING!! Massive congrats on the job offer! That's excellent news, and even more excellent when you consider it's coming in 2020! Wonderful stuff, very pleased for you :D
@@calvindyson Thank you so much, Calvin. I truly appreciate that. 😊😀 I was worried to begin with, as is the norm but after an interview which was two weeks ago at this point, the worry was getting weighty. As soon as I got the call, felt like a weight that was taken off my shoulders. 😊 And agreed, with how 2020 has gone so far. I feel so lucky and thankful for this opportunity, I'm definitely gonna make the most of it. 😊 Thank you so much again, Calvin. 😊😊
I like the hockey scene more when I don’t know who any of the assassins are, I like to imagine Kristatos got fed up with his goons failing and decided to hire these random hockey players to take a shot at Bond instead
Think it's Ice shavings Bond dumps On sardo Numspa not salt
It's from shaving the ice rink and keep the surface smooth. Remeber these deleted scenes are rough cuts not edits or "shavings" they wouldn't look so hammy if cut and edited into the film.
Had the snow dump stayed in the film, I imagine fans may have likened it to Dr. No's fate in the novel.
I'd love to the deleted scenes from on her magestys secret service
But it's not salt. Why would they have a small truck containing a massive amount of salt at an ice rink? It's the swept up scrapings, snow essentially, from the ice rink. The director even tells us that in the intro/commentary.
If the ice rink scene had been kept in, it would of made the death of ferrara unnecessary as bond could of saved him if not for embarrassing the henchmen.
The Bond film I would like to see the deleted scenes to is 1967 Casino Royale.
Supposedly the small person assassin coming out of a toilet in Austin Powers was first filmed for Casino Royale and then cut (it's mentioned in an early review of the film).
GREAT VIDEO, I RECOMMEND YOU TO TALK ABOUT THE MONEYPENNY DIARIES
I’m sill reading it but it’s fantastic for me it comes just after Colonal Sun 👍🏻
We need the unreleased Moonraker scenes
One simply does not delete any footage that has Charles Dance in it !
"If God was a villain.......he'd be me"
How much do i need to pay for you to review more of the bond cartoon series?
The first deleted scene was very insalting.
They could have done a few laps of the pitch, knocked a few goals in at the other end, and then come back to lye down in the net to wait for their doom the amount of time it took that truck to reverse and then slowly raise it's load.🤣
I wish we could see the deleted scenes from QoS.
Yes that dialogue is too on the nose and there seems limited chemistry
The parrot giving Bond a clue, Blofeld's underwhelming finale, Maggie and Dennis Thatcher, Bibi Dahl, there's a great deal of cringe in FYEO.
Is there a reason you have not ranked the Bond actors? Because if not if so, I understand...
I want to say the TND deleted scenes. I love the Ricky Jay bits. It's very disappointing they didn't make the film.
This was one of Moore's best Bond film
3:52 Sodium Funny😂😂
I could see keeping the second scene IF they cut the line where Bond responds directly to her "sex life" remark. Would it work if, after she says, "I'm not interested in your sex life..." he could just say, "I need your help..." as if ignoring her comment and getting to the point. I think that could worked. Keep the scene. Just cut *part* of it.
More Dance scenes !
RIP Sir Sean Connery :(
Good observation re how the sex life talk would have shown that Melina was interested in Bond I'd have kept both scenes in but the film works still works just as well without them.
Great video Mr. Dyson. Would love to talk to you about your love for Bond and youtube career on my interview show. Let me know. Thanks.
Taking screen time away from Charles Dance should be a war crime.
I always thought that the entire hockey rink fight scene made no sense, and should not have been included at all. It is just a filler.
Hi Calvin
I Love Roger Moore James Bond 007
💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
They really should have nixed the entire hockey sequence.
I wonder if we'll explore the idea that Scaramanga is a cheat in the next episode.
I'd kill to see the deleted scenes from The Man With The Golden Gun, mostly for the gadgets.
Can’t believe the Forza Bond car expansion pack left out the Zamboni. Tsk tsk.
First scene is like: "I sometimes find englishmens humor rather hard to follow".
I like that second scene but agree that something just doesn't sound right with Bond/Moore saying "my sex life", it sounds awkward. Otherwise, a very interesting moment.
The lines you mentioned are clever as hell, something so roger more would probably say.🤣
The ice ring is and was pointless!
I love For Your Eyes Only, but I don't buy their love either. I could say the same about Tomorrow Never Dies. Love the film, but don't really buy the romance with Wai Lin.
I'd rather they were just allies like Camille [Olga Kurylenko] in Quantum
@@jamesatkinsonja I don't mind a Bond girl not sleeping with Bond but Camille was a total non-entity.
The most memorable episode was you reacting to Roger Moore cursing in the deleted View to a Kill scenes.
John Glen should have cut the whole hockey scene.
John Glen, the worst of men, he directed 5 but he worked on 10.
The sex comment was not needed, FYEO was to me great without sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This also reminded me of those "private screening" adult videos of the 80's "For your eyes only" could suggest that with that one deleted scene (the title as well)!
