The recently released videos have been really easy to watch. Working from my studio on product shots whilst having this on screen in the background, as well as sitting down and watching...really enjoying the channel so far.
DJI focus system and DJI transmission would would lighten and clean this build substantially. You could drop the v-mount battery under the camera and also all the cables running between the ring and gimbal. But it's hard to justify when you already have the functionality in your current rig.
We totally agree. We own so many transmission systems so its hard to justify it for just the gimbal. But defently would recomend to anyone looking to get the full package
Great video :) I have the basic ring with the rs4 (non-pro) right now but I hope I can upgrade to the advanced ring with the pro version some time next year :)
Sick rig! Unless you need run stop you could use a d-tap to usb c and power the camera with that v mount while having a native battery in camera and you’ll be able to hot swap. If only the nucleus would auto power on
Are you using the Easyrig minimax stabil light? Does it hold up with the weight of the rig? Must be close to the limit i guess? Thanks for sharing your rig🙏🏻
@@TenfoldProduction that‘s what i was thinking. With that rig you are most likely exceeding the limit of the minimax. I‘m conflicted on what to get. If i want to run a lighter setup sometimes the vario 5 won’t work properly, since the minimum weight isn’t reached. The other way around i‘ll exceed the limit with a heavier rig. There is really no perfect solution. Thanks for the breakdown, the reply and sharing your thoughts 🙏🏻👍🏻
This all comes down to personal preference. Try it in all those configurations for your up coming projects and see what works best for you. For us the top works because thats where all our accesories are in case we need to run another cable directly to the battery. Hope this helps
I've experienced some serious V-Mount discharging with this system. Powering everything (Camera, gimbal, lidar and FIZ) from DJI Handle and a V-mount of 10A. I'll order the V-Mount plate for the RS4 PRO and try to split the load now. Any experience regarding battery drain with this build ? Best regards and thanks for the time and effort
Yeah, the biggest thing is splitting the power across the board. As mentioned in the video, we don't use the top handle for battery. Mainly working everything off of small batteries. No doubt there is battery drain, but that's natural when you're powering so many accessories and cameras at once. We just like to make sure we have a fair amount of extra batteries. Thanks for the kind words!
@@TenfoldProduction Hmm, then don't upgrade to the RS4 PRO yet, if you don't use the DJI Battery if you force anything on the gimbal if will shut off instantly... Even when nothing else is plugged on the V-Mount. Weird. Thanks for your time ;)
@@Horizons_Roseswhy does the RS4 shut the gimbal down and not the rs3? Can you better explain what you mean. Since he doesn’t use the top handle as a power source
@@kevin.creates4941 You have to ask DJI for this... I clearly don't know. I just received the Tilta passthrough power supply to power camera and accessories through a dedicated V-mount mounted underneath the camera. Now the gimbal won't shut off if forced etc, but it will "shortcut" while folding back when you turn it off.... Very weird.
@@kevin.creates4941 Did more testing with new firmware and a tilta plate + vmount under the camera to distribute power. Behavior is better. No more "shut down" if the ronin is forced. However, if the battery drop to 60% or bellow, the gimbal when shutting down and folding back (RS4 is much (uncessary) quicker than RS3 pro) the Ronin will shortcuit. I think its cause by high requirement in Amps / intensity when folding the ronin back at full speed.

Haha awesome! Love that you’re enjoying them
great build! Did a very similar one with a bulky Bmccp 6k pro for a 10h shoot, handheld - I could barely move for a week after haha
Thanks! We have been there too, long hours of operating aren’t it
love these rig breakdown vids!!
Glad you’re appreciating them!
Love these!
Thanks, we love making them!

Where can you find the dummy grip you mentioned 7:07

Nice kit you got there! The accessories are def what make this work best. Excited for you
The Focusing motor bigger that all setup ... This motor from Ford Raptor ?

tilta doesn't have that power v mount base plate for the RS4. so what would be another solution to where to put the v mount battery

Thanks for sharing your rig🙏🏻
We mainly use the Easyrig Vario 5 with a stabil arm. We sometimes need to go heavier so we wanted to ensure we had it available.

Could you talk about your hoverboard?
Will definitely dive into it in the near future! Just a classic segway
i want to know is it better to rig v mount on a top side not a bottom , is there any different ?

Could you please take a picture of me?🤣
hi! any issue with the rs4 and the advanced tilta ring grip?
