I just finished Saturday cleaning ,stepped outside for a break and my favorite painter came in with a beautiful new one. Thank you so much you have changed the way I learn and paint and I am finally just enjoying the process because my results are so much better.
Hi Paul thanks for sharing your talent here! I loved the idea of lifting cerulean blue off the paper to make clouds. I found my blue sinks into the paper so fast I cant quite lift it in time so never get a clean white edge. Is it A) my non Windsor paints, B) the paper, or C) that Im painting wet into wet and shouldn't be. Any thoughts, much appreciated. 🙂
Hi Mark, Its so hard to tell why this isn't working without actually seeing it, but your not alone, a few people are ahead of you. I don't use cerulean, but I could, I use cobalt, Winsor or ultra marine. Try wetting your cold press paper first and then adding the color and lifting with a paper towel. Please let me know how you make out. Thank you for watching Mark.
