  • Here's my Z1000 with new lightweight Marchesini wheels fitted. It's a plug and play kit. Transfer the discs from your old wheels and fit. Easy-peasy :)

    I really love your Z1000. Because of your vid's i bought myself a Z1000 from the showroom. 30-6 she is ready.. I cant wait!!

      -Yoshii's channel- I feel very proud that someone has bought one off the back of my vid! you won't be disappointed with the stock bike. Thats half the fun.... Adding more and more to it just makes it go and handle better. Last week I did a 300 mile round trip in a day and stopped once each way for fuel for only 10 mins it's that comfortable. I've got some nickel plated brembo hpk's coming soon. When they're on I'll put another vid up.

    Glad you were able to get your hand on a set.
    Love the wheels, but for ANYONE (outside of Italy/MotoGP owners), looking at trying to order a set, please see below:
    I tried ordering these wheels back in August of 2017, and after my nine (yes 9) MONTH wait, here’s a reply from March....
    “Thank you for the email to Marchesini Italy. Your email was forwarded to Race Technologies. We are the importer for the USA for the Marchesini program.
    You can order wheels in the Repsol Orange color. Please keep in mind while “Repsol Orange” is a coded color it can vary in what is expected because of the variability of this color from other manufacture of parts.
    Are you looking for Aluminum or Magnesium wheels?
    The ETA for wheels right now is about 16 weeks. The custom color will add additional lead time of 6-8 weeks. There is an additional cost of $232 per wheel.
    Please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Regards,
    Nicole Lavash, Senior Account Manager
    Motorcycle Program”
    So 16 weeks: 4 months (if you’re ordering the REGULAR colors, Black/Gold/Yamaha Blue)
    But if you want any other color (which they will paint per their website) you might end waiting and additional eight weeks (2 months).
    So essentially, you could be waiting a MINIMUM OF HALF A YEAR, just for the wheels to be MADE. That’s not counting shipping....😳
    Are you serious?
    And here’s the kicker, you have to pay FIRST!!!
    Go with OZ Wheels/Carrozzeria/BST or any other!!!
    I ordered a set of OZ wheels, and it was a 2 month turn around from the time I swiped my card until they were in my mailbox.
    Screw Marchesini!!!

    Yep - a lad round the corner from me ironically has both (a gen4 and an sx on a 2015 plate). Yep - loads of stuff is interchangeable. The wheels will go straight in, Shock too. Exhaust system bolts straight in (i prefer a single exit). All 108mm Brembo calipers fit (mines now sporting Brembo HpK's on the front!). Its not the most expensive naked out there but for me its brilliant. Owned it for about 3 1/2 years now. Its never missed a beat, starts on the button and, with all the mods makes about the same as an s1000r (plus now its a fair bit lighter). Beautifully void of electronics so its easy to service, mod and look after yourself. Going to the states next year for hols so ill be fucked if im not coming back with a set of ohlins fgrt 201's in my suitcase...they bolt straight in...!

      Sounds like I made the right decision then to pick mine up this last weekend (2016, got the luggage with it as well) :) Chuffed to bits with it so far, but good to hear there's a lot of options out there for upgrades!

    • @comfysofa1549
      @comfysofa1549  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Renzsu congrats on the purchase. I don't really think HP is that critical...I own an rsv4 factory with a full system and a modded ecu and up to 100 the zed feels more violent and harder accelerating....next upgrade for me is a slipper clutch...

      No, you dont have to change the clamps, bolts straight in, the only decision you need to make is, on your switch gear youve got a plastic indentation (both sides from recollection) that locate the switch gear into the stock bars to stop them moving around...either you cut the lug off of the switchgear, or, drill a hole each side in the handlebars. I opted for cutting the lug and using some amalgamating tape wound round the bars and then the switchgear screwed down over the top so i can move them round in future if i want to. Hope that helps.

    • @comfysofa1549
      @comfysofa1549  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      saleh fayez kind of..... If you remove the cat you'll do it either by cutting it out and putting a "y" pipe in, or by replacing the whole header section. If you replace the headers then the bore will increase and obviously there will be no cat. Your bike will run lean but the o2 sensor will try to richen the fuel but I would say not by enough. Alternatively if you go the "y" pipe option again, a bit lean but probably ok. Are you keeping the stock tailpipes?

    • @salehfayez99
      @salehfayez99 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Comfy Sofa
      I remove all of the oem system with cutting the cat but now I will pot the oem system with the y pipe so do you think i must reflash the ecu

      I remove all the oem system and place a aftermarket system but i like the oem and I decided to re-install the factory because I like the look of it at the bike more
      But in the past i remove tha cat of the oem and i lost it for that i need a "Y" pipe to re install the oem systam
      So after i do that did i need to do a ecu reflash couse i will re installed the oem system without the cat ?
