This summer I had a few days solo trip to a river that I never had fished before. First evening I spent driving up and down the river to find some nice spots to fish for Atlantic salmon the coming days. The catch rate in the river the days before I came was terrible, thus I aimed at the upper part of the river to catch one of the early springers. However, to my suprise that was not what I ended up hooking into.
