    This video was filmed during a vacation trip with my girlfriend around in Norther Norway. We stopped by one of the rivers along the coast and spent a few hours fishing for Atlantic salmon. That stop by the river resulted in one of the sickes fish fight I have ever experined.

    U almost gave me a heartatack! Wow. U will remember it for the rest of your life 😁. Great run, great fight, great story to tell your kids. Was that the 3D+ sink 3/5/8 shooting head you were using? This was one of the coolest fights. You do a great job sharing the thrill, man,I was there with you on this. Let us hope for a good 2022 season. Great stuff!

      Haha 😆 and thank you! I appreciate the emotional comment and I am so glad you could feel some of the excitement and trill that I did by watching the clip! That is exactly what I hope and try to achieve when filming and editing these clips 🙌 Yes this was the 3d+ 3/5/8. That line keeps delivering 😃

      @@SalmonfishingNorway i fell in love with Norway years ago, and when I gave up climbing and expedition mountaineering, I started fly fishing to compensate. And on the way discovered salmon fishing, that gave a new sense of being and opened a new world of emotions and challenges for me. I worked 3 years as a rescue climber in Åndalsnes and that is the time when I discovered fly fishing. I think your movies reflect a part of us that you rarely see on film: emotions, feelings, real salmon fishing stories, friendship, joy, sorrow, desperation, ups and downs, you really show it all. Hope to meet one day on the river side, will definetely love to have a drink together for the sake of good stories. Keep it on, you really do a great job 🤗

      I guess my way to dismiss a depressing situation is by laughing it away, especially when I know there was not much I could do to prevent the loss🥲 I never felt I was in charge of that situation and I guess I was no way near to land that fish.

    The second you told that the fish had swum upstream 20-30 meters, i knew it was stuck! :(

    Fatigue the fish by pulling it with the rod and at the same time reeling in the line.

    The salmon books ive read you should avoid to go down stream the fish. Maybe throw a rock next time on The fish? 😉

    • @SalmonfishingNorway
      @SalmonfishingNorway  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fish was too far out for me to throw a rock at it. 😅 but yes it was a thought decision to walk downstream, because I knew the risk of walking downstream, especially with the sinking 358 line on. But it’s also a risky to have too much line out because of the stretch in the line making it difficult to keep the pressure on the fish if it starts moving around ☺️

  • @Rockxenez
    @Rockxenez 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Don't walk after the fish. A brake was invented for that.
