      I disagree in this situation. There are People like the couple here, that look for these types of property's that fall three the crack and buy them to sell to the property owns around the piece of property they bought. Other they inconvenience them in some way. For instance, you own a store and own or use the lot next to you for customers. But there's a sliver of land between the 2 property's. I'm talk like 2 feet wide by x amount long. I force you to pay me or I build a fence. Thus cutting the parking from the store. Tho I'm sure one can get lawyers evolved but I assume most just pay because it's cheaper. In these situations the homeowners are rich. But say of this couple bought property similar to that I describe, well the situation is reversed.

    • @ambicateiler3152
      @ambicateiler3152 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It’s Spanish (the Portuguese did not settle San Francisco). In Spanish the word means a military headquarters. The Presidio was an active military base until the late 80z or early 90s, when the Park Department got control. That deal was part of a political deal in Congress decades ago. Real Estate interests in the city wanted to get their hands on the property ( it is at the Golden Gate-the bridge goes over part of it), and must have paid off a lot or people in politics (that was the rumor in military circles). However, the government didn’t put it up for sake.
      Strategically, because it controls entrance to the San Francisco Harbor, it is important.
      The California Cosst had no other major naval base north of San Diego.
      Part of the reasoning behind dropping the base was the Cold War belief that all future wars would be driven by missiles and airplanes. What’s happening in the Ukraine today shows us that whatever damage can be done from the air, the army that controls the ground is the army that wins.

    Reporters showed up after the man’s disappearance. They were bugging Victoria every time she left the house. At one point, she stopped walking and started pointing her finger at the reporters and photographers, and said, “You’re dead, and you’re dead, and your dead!”

    That's weird that they would auction it off and not just amalgamate it into the rest of the city (the roads that is, not the weird islands). The idea of having such a big private property buffer between you and the rest of the public realm is quite tacky and elitist. That might be what their going for, but it's something that I wouldn't want in my social fabric, no matter how much they'd bring in in taxes.

      That is ridiculous section 8 to load of s*** you want a nice place to live work and pay for it I'm Indian and I don't get s*** handed me for free and I'm a real American before there was Americans with my heritage. Section 8 is a bunch of people to get in your house and tear it up and don't give a s*** I know because somebody tore up our house when we left section 8 live in and then a good friend of mine had a really nice house that she rented out for section 8 and section 8 let the b**** that live there not pay the last month's rent tore up her place and they still at that woman run another place on section 8 never paid for my friend's house. If you were going to have section 8 on a house through the state the state should guarantee that you get paid for any damages of people that don't give a s*** about your property due to your property. I'm sorry but this comment pissed me off those people work for their money yeah I love to live there never have that kind of money in my whole life but if I did make that kind of money and I did live there I don't want somebody else living there that did not earn it.
