Yes the holes are not factory. They were plugged by whoever installs and uninstalls the radio equipment. That goes way back to my car phone install days. We used that same rubber plug to fill holes when people were trading in for a new car
I just bought an 08 9C1 Impala. Mine has a few different settings compared to this one. Mine has a compass and outdoor temp gauge. Though it was from Michigan so I guess they have to monitor the air temp. Idk if the one you reviewed had remote start, but mine is equipped with it.
Not a bad looking car, I just wish it was a little bit longer, and I would paint the outside mirrors gloss black, as well as the door handles. Just looks better than having them body color in my opinion.

TJC450 Police cruisers have to have their speedometer certified for court. Only specific traffic cops have Rader detectors in their cars, most police cruisers do not have them, a good portion of speeding tickets are written out the old fashioned way by matching speed with the car ahead, therefore the speedometer has to be certified regularly to ensure accuracy for court.
The holes in the trunk lid and tops of the quarter panels were drilled by whoever upfitted this car. They are not factory holes. I worked on these when they were new installing the SEO options.

Anthony Foster These year models are a little quicker than the crown vic but nothing major. The 2012 to 2016 models look identical to these but they have a 305hp v6 and a 6 speed auto vs this models 4 speed auto.
@@Eliyourcarguy That would cost too much. My agency bought 4 09 Impalas brand new that were meant for Baltimore City Housing PD, but were never purchased by them, so we bought them. Most PDs are looking for cost savings. That's why we've been SLOWLY replacing our aging fleet of Crown Vics in the 12 years I've been there.
They buy the base LS models to outfit them as cruisers. 3.9 V6 240HP depending on the year, 2006-07' had 240HP while 08' and up had the AFM and 233HP. Also heavy duty brakes, trans cooler lines, and i believe a normal 4T65-E trans. Also has oil cooler, beefier suspension, dual factory exhausts aluminum subframe. Rear door lock and window switch delete, rubber flooring vinyl rear seat vinyl/cloth front bucket seats. I also believe they have a "SURV" mode which kills all lights in the car including the odometer lights for nighttime surveillance 16" heavy duty steel wheels with optional full wheel covers borrowed from the 2000-05' impalas trunk lock cylinder and a few other things. That's how these came from the factory.
Now that was just the 9C1 package. They also offered the 9C3 undercover package again all the same except the car now has factory carpet flooring, full cloth interior, front bench seating, no unity spot lamp but again an option and no pushbars as well as optional power passenger front seat controls to match the drivers seat. Both this car and the 9C1 have a red/white dome for writing ticket and i think the theater dimming is disabled as well as DRL disable. Another option is more variety of exterior colors like a normal impala. Lastly I've caught a unique option on these cars is the traction control delete. On the dash where the traction control button would be there is a blankout but if you pop the hood and look by and behind the air intake you'll see the antilock brake pump/module assembly. Even though it has antilock brakes, it does NOT have traction control. This was something odd about the the 7th gen impala police packages.

For some reason I really like that steering wheel design. Maybe its just me but 4 spokes are spiffier than 3 spokes.

You should do a Police Chevy Tahoe/Suburban, Dodge Charger, Ford Explorer

Chevy= Police Pursuit Vehicle , Crown Victoria = Police Interceptor, I owned 4 Crown Victoria PI's . There is only one Interceptor and Ford made it
