Glacier Bay National Park - 2 Days of Whales, Glacier Calving, Hikes & More

  • Glacier Bay is a fantastic national park in southern Alaska that is combined with Wrangell-St. Elias and Kulane National Park in Canada to make a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is difficult to visit and most people only see it via cruise ship. However, we wanted to actually spend some time there so we flew in from Juneau to Glacier Bay National Park and stayed at the lodge. We spent two days hiking around the park and taking a stunning full day boat cruise. From playful sea otters to majestic bald eagles, the park's diverse ecosystem left us in awe of nature's remarkable power and beauty. It was a fantastic trip and let us know what you think in the comments.

Josh and Pops, you just have the most awesome videos. Your manner of presentation, information, images, places * you take us, are all so terrific.
Plus, I love the downtime, and seeing the foods you decide on, some representing the area, you're visiting. Noone does it better, IMO.

Thanks for always pointing out wheelchair accessibility in your journeys. I'm in a wheelchair and appreciate hearing first-hand if a trail would work or not. I'm impressed with how at least a portion of trails is accessible in nearly all parks in the US (better than in Canada where I am)!

This brought back memories of my cruise to glacier bay a couple of years ago. It is absolutely breathtaking. Pictures do not even begin do it justice. I can’t believe you caught the calving in person and it was a big one. I am very jealous but so happy you got it on video. I did not know star fish and were up that far north in cold water. You saw so many different types of wildlife. Once again jealous 😊. Enjoyed this video so much. Thanks for being there and videoing this amazing part of your trip.
