  • Light up a ‪@Drewestatecigar‬ Liga Privada with me and my new ‪@STDupontLighters‬ from ‪@kirbyallison‬ and hang out!!!
Originally made to be “Liga Privada,” or a private blend, the number 9 was one of many private blend cigars that were created and tested to be kept in house for Drew Estate’s then CEO’s personal humidor. Amongst the many blends, Number 9 stood out in such a way that it was decided it was far too good to be held back from the public and was released in 2007. More blends from the original test batches were released afterwards, but Number 9 continued to be the top dog and much sought-after.

Great content, as always. Rich and elegant are the words I use to describe the Liga Privada #9. Will always buy some whenever I see one in a local shop. And the smoke output on these is impassive indeed! Love the work you put into your content.

Thank you so much! I’m glad the “lots of smoke” has been corroborated. Haha.

Well done. They seem to now be highly available here in south Denver. Looking forward to trying one

It's well worth the hunt, but I'm glad they're more readily available now!

Be careful. The Liga Privada line can spoil you and make even great cigars seem like a Black & Mild.

@@FuzedBox I have to agree. I keep grabbing one every time I'm in the shop!

Blenders mix and match tobaccos for aroma, taste, and smoke. You can blend specific parts of priming to produce more or less smoke. Drew Estate is known to produce very smokey cigars.

had this one two days ago recommended to me when I was at the shop. I definitely didn’t pick up on some of the fruity notes you got. It was extremely creamy to me reminded me of hot chocolate. It was also extremely easy to pull witch made it a very relaxing cigar for me. Toward the end I was almost asleep in the lounge.
Personally for me a little out my typical price range.

Yeah, agreed that it's very creamy, and the draw is so smooth and easy. Definitely on the high end of the price point, but it's great to enjoy one from time to time.

Ive had some cigars produce more smoke but Im almost certain its due to cut and or the way its manufactured. Cool video.

It's been murmured that DE treats the leaf with mineral oil to create their signature heavy smoke feature.

🤣 you'd taste it. Cubans use tea to spritz upon wrapping.

Nope. haha. I cancelled the subscription. Terrible customer service. It was inoperable for almost two weeks before I got a new one.

Its better with time. I have 2x boxes of the robusto, toro, belicoso, and a dbl corona all 24 count. My first box of toros and rubustos had around 2 years age each on my own so about a 4 year aged boxes. Thats where the flavors blend. Theyre better than my cubans. Epi#2's and PLPC's are even.

Uh, a-what's that?! Only FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS for a lighter?!
    ....Dude. :/
That's EXACTLY what pisses off working-class tobacco lovers around the world...like me!
The age and blend/roll of the leaf, very rarely dictate the price/quality fight.
High-quality cigar smoking shouldn't be only left to the "elite".
    (I'm a 100% capitalist, by the by...just pissed I can't get cheaper sticks! XD)
...bring the friggin' 80's back! XD

Honestly the no. 9 is the worst of the ligas imo. Close your eyes and youll taste a very slighter better Factory Smokes maduro. For it being 10% better tasting but 100+% the cost...im not buying another.
