The description at the beginning is perfect. These videos were almost like an urban myth to me and my friends when we were in our early teens. We would hear stories about them from older skaters, but I think I only ever watched one of them in it's entirety.
I know the work that went into this. So glad it's seeing the light of day! Was 19 when Whiskey came out, and had it on repeat at the time. VHS tape was barely hanging by a thread when I retired it, and 2 & 3! Cool and nostalgic to get the backstory on all those random clips, especially the the Boozy stuff. Thanks for sharing with us @Lauren, I understand you've experienced some roadblocks getting it out to the public.
After my son showed me an old jackass clip, I started to tell him about these videos called Whiskey and after I told him the story about the dirt bike in the grocery store, I stopped telling him...😅😂

I grew up on the island back in these days and remember hearing about the whiskey boys on the mainland. This movie was dope and well made Lauren, cheers for showing it to us. Watched these VHS videos RELIGIOUSLY as a young'un. I eventually ended up living in Whistler for a few years, had a taste of the lifestyle, it's not for the weak.
Jeff Bzowy is a legend for that bottle break, I could barely breathe I was laughing that much 😂. The bottle breaking attempts were all hilarious. What an awesome thing to try with your friends while getting trashed hahaha
Well I obviously wasn’t the only one that watched the hell out of these videos with my friends at parties in my late teens and 20s during the late 90s and early 2000s. It started in high school when o bought the vhs trilogy at a skate shop. Then I brought them with me when I worked at the ski resorts in Tahoe when I was 19. Obviously we idolized these guys and tried breaking bottles on our heads. I don’t remember any bottles behind harmed though.
I know that not every person has a time in their life that resembles any of this… but I can’t tell you how much I wish I had a camera around from the age of 15-25! Fuck, just so I could remember! There’s a large amount of people I remember having a blast and doing stupid crap but it’s all a haze and I can’t remember names! Even the nicknames are starting to fade! The late half of the 90’s was a blast, then I had to grow up. The last thing of stupidity I did was get my nipples pierced while drunk with my coworkers and then ride a giant horse statue in front of the casino Paris in Las Vegas on TDY. I quit drinking shortly after that, my nipples finally healed up thankfully!
I was 15 in 2004 and shit man from about 03 - 2010 was a whirlwind of chaos and debauchery! I too wish I had a camera! I was walking down the main street in my small college town, it has a pretty big bar scene, and one day someone yelled "hey Nick, what's up man how've you been!?" I had no clue who he was, and he could tell I was lost, and apparently I stayed at his house with all his housemates for like two weeks and had zero recollection!!!

I wonder if 4 ended up being straight riding and shredding video then focused on propping new riders up, maybe stopped at 3 and renamed the whole series to another video name but promoted it as the “makers of whiskey” I wonder if that would have been $. Either way they were legendary in the industry. I was young when they came out but my older buds I skated and snowboarded with were stoked on these videos.
