Thanks for watching folks!!! All your support means the world to me, and I appreciate all the clicks, subs, likes, and comments. It keeps me coming back week and after week to do these Gravity Falls reactions. I posed this question in the video, but I’m assuming you all want to see a video on the Gravity Falls shorts? Let me know! Have a good one and thank you again!
Yes, that is indeed BMO's voice actress playing Candy! They actually worked on both shows at the same time! She also voices Lady Rainicorn in Adventure Time.
There are two cryptograms in this episode there’s the one at the end of the credits, it says , “BUT WHO STOLE THE CAPERS?” and the other one is on the first page of puberty book that Grunkle Stan reads to “Mabel”, it says, “PUBERTY IS THE GREATEST MYSTERY OF ALL ALSO: GO OUTSIDE AND MAKE FRIENDS.”.
23:08 Disappointed he didn't try to guess who did the experiment. Cuz he saw "Stan" living there when he was young and that room wasn't THAT old, someone was there in the 80s, while "Stan" would have been there. I originally thought Stan was the author/the one that did the experiment
After a point in the second season, you can go back to this episode and see if you spot a certain hint. This show is full of them, little details of things that doesn't draw the interest at first glance. Re watching the show after finishing, gives "aha moments" everywhere!
@@MikeyVentureoh now that you’re done with the series (spoilers btw for anyone watching through for the first time), I don’t know if you ended up looking back for stuff like this but in this episode stan grabs some glasses off a desk or something in the hidden room and spends a long time looking at them later in the episode. Apparently they’re ford’s old glasses that you can see him wear for the few seconds he’s in the time traveler’s pig episode
So if people can hear Soos talking when he's in Waddles' body, that means they switched voices too. What we're hearing is also what the characters are hearing. So why isn't Stan confused about Mabel sounding like Dipper and vice versa?
Pig larynxes are actually pretty similar to human larynxes, so it's possible that Soos was able to form some approximation of English while in Waddles's body. It'd make sense as well, given that a mind swap really shouldn't also swap voice boxes.
@anerdwithaswitch9686 That's usually how I see it too. You swapped minds, but the voice box is physical, so you should also have the other person's voice. I understand keeping the other voice so the audience don't get confused, but wasn't Soos (in Waddles' body) being understood when he spoke English? That would kind of throw that off.
"Ugh, braces are horrible, it's like my mouth hates me!" Truer words have never been spoken. I had them for 3 years during high school, worst experience ever, was only made worse by the fact I played trumpet in my school's marching band _and_ wind ensemble.
I dont get how people can think Dipper was ready to take an apprenticeship at the age of 12 when the twins cant even sleep in separate rooms for one night
I love this episode. Body switching shenanigans are almost always fun and Waddles in Soos's body is absolutely hilarious. I also like that they didn't go the route of making Stan feel sad by being mean to him because that would be depressing to watch. And, of course, the sibling stuff. Still great. 2:41 Remember the cipher from the "Little Dipper" episode? The invisible wizard is watching? The rumor come out! Does Grenda is have kissed the invisible wizard? This is also another episode with some blink-and-you-miss-it foreshadowing. It's a small thing, but rather significant when you look back on it. And also some questions that are raised which will be answered. One small thing you might have missed, I'm not sure, you might have talked over it? Dipper DID move back into the attic with Mabel and gave the room to Soos for his break (he says it during the credit scene).
@@MikeyVenture Ah, I figured that might have been the case, but I didn't know for sure. It's not even that big of a deal, but if you had watched the next episode and seen the twins suddenly back in the same room without knowing how it happened, there was a non-zero chance of writing it off as "cartoon magically returns to status quo each new episode" which is very much not something Gravity Falls does. Stuff stays consistent (like the broken S for example) and I really like that about the show.
About the calander. The most logical explanation is that 1982 is when that room wad last in use. We know the room was hidden, or lost, so it must have been left that way for 30 years (since Gravity Falls takes place in Summer 2012). This isn't a spoiler, just logic.
Also, this is a bit of a spoiler but this reaction series is finished now so it's not a big deal. Stan grabs the glasses off the bench and hides them, guess who owns those glasses?
I'd really like to see your reactions to the shorts. They don't add too much to the overall story but they are unique from the episodes. They are also hilarious.
@@MikeyVenture Personally, I'd split them into 3 or 4 videos: one for Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained, one for Mabel's Guide to, and one for the tv shorts, Fixin' it with Soos, and Mabel's Scrapbook. Do whatever you want, but that's how I would do it and it would work well timewise
Perfect Episode showing growth in the Pine Siblings and how being together is something hard but needed and they need to know and understand that and come over the world problems together. Love this Episode and Also love your video, I love your thought process of all these episodes. Still January Second 12/?

yes
My favorite part is how the characters' designs subtley change depending on who's in what body (i.e. Dipper!Mabel having Dipper's eye bags)
It’s such a great visual touch. This show’s animation is legitimately fantastic
I just realized... Mabel likes makeovers, but doesn't like makeovers while in Dipper's body. She now knows how Dipper feels.
Yes, that is indeed BMO's voice actress playing Candy! They actually worked on both shows at the same time! She also voices Lady Rainicorn in Adventure Time.
Mabel is proof that you don't need to drink to have fun go girl

It’s definitely something I plan to do when I finish the series. Love shows that reward second viewings

I lost it when Stan said it was a time to have a man to man talk about the birds and the bees and explained the pituitary gland! LOL!
It’s an amazing moment! I’m legit surprised Stan even wanted to have that talk 😂
I felt so sorry for Mabel in that scene, I remember how freaked out I was when my mom pulled “the talk” on me😂
Grenda throwing the pillow at Candy never fails to make me laugh 😂
When I was editing this video I was cracking up again at that 😂
It's so funny 😂😂

Maybe they don’t switch voices and Soos is speaking in a weird pig voice or something
We know Dipper doesn't have the manliest voice /jk
Maybe the characters don’t actually hear the person in waddles body? Because idk how that would work since they only swapped minds not voices

Did you notice Stan cleaning eyeglasses whilst they were fighting?
It didn’t catch my eye during the reaction, but I noticed it when I was editing the video 🤔
Another thing is that instead of watching everyone fight he tried to ignore it

I missed the dialogue about giving the room to Soos, but I watch the episodes again when I’m editing, and caught it while editing

I’m surprised they let the whole “birds and the bees joke” slide
Just imagine all the kids coming to their parent to explain it to them :D...

The consensus already seems to be watch the shorts, so of course I’m going to! Thanks for your input

best keep track of those glasses
Is anyone gone talk about Stan giving Mabel the talk…
Yeah, that was messed up..
This is the second mysterious boarded up room they've found so far... And why not use the wax museum as a break room?
I swear the Shack just seems like it’s getting bigger and bigger with each new discovery
@@MikeyVenture Maybe it's secretly a Tardis. (Actually a Gravity Falls/Dr.Who crossover sounds pretty awesome).
Did you also notice the creepy amount of fingers on the hand of the Journal?
Watch the shorts between seasons! :)
Thanks! And that’s the plan :)
I’m not an expert on the deeper mysteries of Gravity Falls, but isn’t July 4th circled for being a federal holiday?
I mean yes, but with this show, anything like that that catches my eye I feel has another meaning 😂
@@MikeyVenture It’s part of the atmosphere. Nothing is ever what it seems in this town.
@@acgearsandarms1343 Exactly! Which is why I’m really looking forward to watching it through a second time
I can not wait to see your reaction to later episodes things get crazy keep up the good work
Ugh I can’t wait. And thanks!
Shorts are playing between s1 and s2
Thanks! I was wondering if that’s when I should watch them
Sometimes I wonder if the shack is some eldritch location with shifting dimensions of the house
The Shack is legitimately one of my major questions. This show handles its mysteries so well. That’s a fun theory though!
If you love mysteries just you wait!

*Cops break in*
Cop: We’ve got reports of excessive giggling!
Me: Yeah, sorry about that..
3:40 SIBLING BROTHERS?!? I saw a part of a comic, I think it was a canon thing (?) where Stans killed them and took their identities
BETWEEN SEASONS
Perfect thank you!

Candy is voiced by the same voice actress who did bmo Niki yang.
Thx for the reaction
Be careful reading the comments there are a lot of people who like to spoil stuff
Oh I’m aware. I have someone who has watched it giving me a heads up haha
Don’t turn the subtitles on
Unfortunately this is probably my least favourite episode of the entirety of Gravity Falls
