A few points 1. It has samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor, the GW2 you mentioned is the next generation 64 MP sensor from samsung 2. The global ROM has way better camera processing as the Indian firmware always captures warmer images which results in a yellowish cast, so great for European users.
@@fluff5 this is the rebranded redmi note 9 pro which was recently launched in India in the presentation it was clearly stated that it is a GM2 but I don't have the device to confirm myself unfortunately.
I bought this phone this week, June 5, all of the problems are solved. I know they released an update saying "screen issues fixed" and let me tell you guys, the legibility is nothing but great at direct sunlight! + great battery life and really really good camera!

The bug you've mentioned, faced that once or twice in my Redmi note 8 pro. That is so random and very rare, could not able to replicate it. Regarding the ads in the app installation, you can't stop the scan but can stop the ads. Open the Mi security app and click on the cog icon at the top right and then toggle off recommendation. Do that for Cleaner app as well, if already not disabled.

Good review. I just did a video on the Mia3 and it has the same issue the Redmi Note 8.had. You can put a very fast microSD into it and it comes back during formatting and says "your SD card is slow". My conclusion is the Xiaomi is buying binned parts versus top of the line microSD readers which have passed quality control tests. Give it a try on this one, because I am curious.

Btw, Note9S has 48mp sensor while Note9 Pro has 64mp camera, also Note9Pro has NFC while S doesn't, also Pro has 30W charge vs 18W on S, so these 2 models aren't exactly same

Yeah am from Pakistan too. I am so confused whether I should choose realme 6 or redmi note 9s but I like realme operating system more and its processor is one of my main reasons for considering it. But if U want a better camera and long battery life then go with redmi. I am disappointed by realme 6's camera.

Dude, what's that part about the display in the sunlight? I bought this phone last week. I live in Greece and this period the sun is burning. I use the phone in the middle of the day, in the sunlight, and the display is perfect. Either turn on the brightness or your phone is defective.

Yes it is for eu regulations, and that's a case, since last year. All, Xiaomi Redmi 8 series had/have Google dialer and meesaging app (Redmi 8a, Redmi 8, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8T, Redmi Note 8 Pro), and all other phones that is on the market since second half of 2019 inc Mi9T Pro.. (Xiaomi phones with MIUI). So it's logical for 9 series to have same apps, because, it seems Xiaomi don't know, how to update own app (for messaging, dialer) but without voice recording funcion.

Mi9t is a mess. the 730 is better than the 720G, but the software is a mess on the Mi9t. Also it's hard to install custom ROM as no TWRP is fullyfunctional yet. I actually don't recommend any Xiaomi phones anymore, they're software is killing they're brand.

Have you ever tested the Realme X2? I've seen some comparison between the 9T and the X2, and it felt that overall the X2 does a better job, especially with focusing and stabilizing. Would you go for the 9T or 9S instead of the X2?
I have this and the note 8 pro. I prefer the note 8 pro because it feels much smoother and the fingerprint scanner don't fail as much as the 9s. (Been using the 9s for a month now, i realised there's stutter when browsing the web and lagginess on apps. Also the 9s fingerprint scanner might fail to pick up my fingerprint at times, and it's so annoying)
So I'm really getting confused about the difference between Redmi Note 9 Pro and this one. Apparently this one is supposed to be an equivalent to the Note 9 Pro in India, but the specs listed on GSMarena for Note 9 Pro and Note 9S are different (e.g. camera, charging strength, even colours) - the Note 9 Pro hasn't even come out yet. So will India not be getting this "enhanced" version of the Note 9 Pro, only what is in the rest of the world labelled as 9S? No ghost touches. Touch response is as expected for a 60hz and 69hz touch phone it's fine. But not amazing like a gaming phone with 120hz touch or higher

advice to you, NEVER test a phone battery from 100%, the 100% drop to 99% usually last far longer than the remaining %. So u definitely cannot use that first few % and then multiply it and tell everyone expected phone battery for whole 100%
I bought this today. Guy convinced me it was a good phone. I had dropped my Huawei mate 10 Pro in the bath :( he told me it was a better phone. Admittedly my old phone was nearly 3 years old. In all honesty it takes way too long to charge the phone. Hours compared to 20 mins with my Huawei. The screen quality isn't great. I did find the fingerprint good and responsive. It's not that loud. I am going to take it back. It's an ok for a cheap phone. But for me. The screen is not good. I find it really annoying. Oh and downloading or updating any app takes FOREVER. Way too slow. I have 128gb 6gb ram. It's ok if you aren't used to fast charging decent screen you know the things that actually matter.

Damn I was gonna sell my Samsung A30 & get this. The A30 isn't the fastest phone but has an excellent screen. Its difficult giving up Amoled.

The camera sensor used in this phone is SAMSUNG GM2 not GW2, GW2 is a 64 mp sensor
I have this and the note 8 pro. I prefer the note 8 pro because it feels much smoother and the fingerprint scanner don't fail as much as the 9s. (Been using the 9s for a month now, i realised there's stutter when browsing the web and lagginess on apps. Also the 9s fingerprint scanner might fail to pick up my fingerprint at times, and it's so annoying)
But the 9s camera seems better, and the battery life is slightly longer
So I'm really getting confused about the difference between Redmi Note 9 Pro and this one. Apparently this one is supposed to be an equivalent to the Note 9 Pro in India, but the specs listed on GSMarena for Note 9 Pro and Note 9S are different (e.g. camera, charging strength, even colours) - the Note 9 Pro hasn't even come out yet. So will India not be getting this "enhanced" version of the Note 9 Pro, only what is in the rest of the world labelled as 9S? I'm not from India, but I think they complicated the thing with their naming

No ghost touches. Touch response is as expected for a 60hz and 69hz touch phone it's fine. But not amazing like a gaming phone with 120hz touch or higher

advice to you, NEVER test a phone battery from 100%, the 100% drop to 99% usually last far longer than the remaining %. So u definitely cannot use that first few % and then multiply it and tell everyone expected phone battery for whole 100%
I bought this today. Guy convinced me it was a good phone. I had dropped my Huawei mate 10 Pro in the bath :( he told me it was a better phone. Admittedly my old phone was nearly 3 years old. In all honesty it takes way too long to charge the phone. Hours compared to 20 mins with my Huawei. The screen quality isn't great. I did find the fingerprint good and responsive. It's not that loud. I am going to take it back. It's an ok for a cheap phone. But for me. The screen is not good. I find it really annoying. Oh and downloading or updating any app takes FOREVER. Way too slow. I have 128gb 6gb ram. It's ok if you aren't used to fast charging decent screen you know the things that actually matter.
