I'm not a Mercedes fan at all, but my god, I saw this exact one (in the dark brown) while car shopping, and I'm now signing paperwork for it on Wednesday. It's classy, yet still keeps that timeless sharp almost body look.
This car is so cheap now it's ridiculous... For the performance and the technology, this car is a steal when you buy it used. And plus they're very reliable when you take proper care of them.
I absolutely love this car! I was recently blessed with this car for my 16th birthday and I love it so much I couldn’t be more thankful but I definitely had to do my own research because I’m mostly used to Toyota’s and nissans so it s a huge change but if your debating to get this car I 100% think you should get it.
Hey Rina, I'm about to get one also but I'm looking at 2013 or 15. I might even consider a 2012 like what you got. Do you mind telling me what you got your '12 for?
I would get 2011 and up with the new engine, 302 HP! and direct fuel injection, they are faster and a little better on gas! These cars drive so smooth and quiet!
When I got mine I wanted a black white or dark blue W212 but I ended up with a Brilliant silver one I think silver is the best color on the W212 especially the 2010-2013 sport models with the AMG package the lines are impeccable from every angle this is one of Mercedes best designed E Class
BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz are very good buys when used. As most people who have a hard time programming a cable box say "they are money pits". Keep that belief, it makes it so I can get these cars cheap after they get 40K miles on them. Do the maintenance and repairs myself. They win all the awards not due to hype, but because they ride and perform better. I am on my 4th BMW with only a water pump and two idler pulleys and one expansion tank replaced between them all over 10 years. Do your research. There are some models and years to avoid "as with all vehiles". Keep driving your very exciting to drive Camrys, Accords, and other cars and let me keep buying world class cars cheap..Thanks!
Do a quick google on "Mercedes M272 Balance Shaft failure" That's the engine in your vehicle, and they are extremely prone to failure. It's what ended up totaling my 2007 e350, because to get it repaired along with a few other things, cost just as much as buying another one. This is a good write up about it. www.mercedesmedic.com/check-my-mercedes-benz-for-balance-shaft-issue-by-vin-m272273/ Otherwise, my E350 was the best car I've owned. Will be in the market for a newer E class with a V8 in the future.
Yeah I know about that problem, 2 in ever 10 e350 had that problem, I got lucky had my checked free by Mercedes, and mine was not one of them, you can find out by doing some research online what modes had the bad shafts :) Pretty sure they where all fixed after 2010 and up!
Good car. Very reliable. Mine had a weird thing it did when you folded down the rear passenger seat flat rendering the passenger front seat useless. There's a service bulletin to fix it. Good gas mileage, 4matic works great not only in snow, rain helps with overall handling. Great brakes but I have sport the sport package. Drives bigger than it is.
It's no leather, it's a special vinyl Mercedes has been using ever since. Also the clock is traditionally placed on all E's for the past 40 years, so no surprise :)
Love my e550 4Matic w/ AMG appearance package ,nearly 400hp and plenty of torque for a luxury mid size sedan, plus who doesn't love that star ornament ❤
Ive had this car for sometime now, only issues I've had with this is the ISM and Ignition Switch went bad, which threw the car into Park whenever I went 5mph or under. Being stuck in traffic was a complete safety issue and death wish. I took it to the dealer to have the ISM and Igniton switch replaced, cost roughly $2,500. No issues so far after the repairs.
You can feel the low down torque a lot. A have a 12' so it has 302 hp and 273 lbs ft of torque, an upgrade from the 10' and it has really good low down pull.
Considering all other factors equal, mechanical, cosmetic condition and equipment etc.... I think I have narrowed my search down to five finalists. All E350’s. 2010 4MATIC with 133K miles The rest are 2011 models. 2011 Luxury 4 MATIC, 121K miles, 2011 E350 Luxury ,110K Miles 2011 E350 96K miles and 211 E350 Sport 87K Miles.....any ideas what to look for on my inspection.
" How they manage that with 268 Horsepower " ... LOL .... 268 HP in a Car in the 80s was considered a performance Rocket , considering most sedans back then averaged about 150-160 Horsepower . Even as this Car has a weight of about 4000 Pounds , 268 HP is more than enough to get Excellent overall acceleration and keeping fuel consumption reasonable . Looks like Mercedes Engineers and designers thought this out well .
Follow up I went with a 2011 E350 RWD. Same color/trim combo as your tested vehicle. I didn’t know about the center console cursor to press down then rotate. Premium package #1 and rectangular moonroof not panoramic.
I'm really curious if it's even possible for you to mash the throttle in any car and not break into a huge grin within a couple seconds! It's great that you enjoy them so much
I have a 2008 version of E. Class and would never change it a 2010 and there is no comparison . The workmanship on my car specially interior is so beautiful and lovely.
I'm surprised he didn't mention the gear selector. It's similar to BMW's shifter, but it's a column mounted version. It goes back to center after you shift, and to put it in park you press the button on the end. Also, the seats aren't real leather, which I thought was strange for a Merc.
I noticed the steering column mounted shifter. A modern day version of the column shifter and still allows the convenience of putting a set of cup holders......are you listening BMW?
Commenting on the "slow" transmission not downshifting. The car was in Comfort mode, not Sport mode. The transmission is much more "normal" feeling in Sport mode
The best option is the 350 CDI! Its so damn quick! The W212 and the W207 are awesome cars. I love to drive them. Oh and the 350 CGI is a great engine too especially in the E-Coupe.

Got a 2010 E350 smooth as silk and reliable. Almost disrespectful to compare a Lexus GS or CTS to the E350.
I have an 2010 e350 and a 2014 SRX, the merc is a better ride but Cadillac is not garbage. They're actually pulling ahead if you look at the new CTS-V you can't beat that bang per buck
Have to comment on this since I own both.. I have I have a c class by 2010 and a Escalade, along with the cts v coupe.. with the cadillacs their great and almost bulletproof, cheap to maintain as long as you get any v8 Cadillac and know how to properly maintain it.. the c class is okay but I want an e550 to replace it just for the power.. otherwise its reliable but, I baby mine. Routine maintenance is much more costly than both Cadillacs though..😔
Haha, I wasn't ready to see you reviewng another Benz, Matt ! I covered lots and lots of miles with these cars...So I can tell you that even the E200 Diesel does great burnouts ;) I personally think this car doesn't drive as nice a the Audi A6 and the BMW 5 series of its time. For me it was too much on the comfortable side ( Yes, Mercedes, I know )...But they are great value for money used if you can pay the running costs :)
Es verdad eh teñido ambos el a6 con 440 hp y es una maravilla es como un lamborguini pero lo vendí y preferí la comodidad y seguridad y fuerza de un e350.
Sorry Matt I am going to have to disagree on the panoramic moonroof. Not that it doesn’t work but I prefer steel structure around me. Yes I realize windows but a traditional single panel moonroof is my preference. Good review you started off excited but calmed down and got more focused and slowed down. You are giving real world conditions not a isolated dry test track. Sounds like a good review and not being stupid while driving. Seems safe, seatbelt worn, not trying to take selfies or film videos using the phone. Looks like you know your way around a go pro or a second camera car.
That's the reason I bought this car! I was T-boned in my small 2-door FRS (thankfully I made a recovery)...but I told myself my next car will be a Tank! Hopefully, your is still running strong if you still have it.
Mechanical condition considered would you recommend or consider a 2010 E350 4MATIC with 133K ish miles? Again mechanical condition considered. Any major items to look for on a used car inspection? I do like the 2010 design. I like the black background of the instrument panel with white trim. That was a good call going back to full gauges instead of the bar graph fuel and temperature gauges of the mid 2000’s generation.
Planning to buy 2010 model with AvantGarde package.. My question is this E class comfy to ride? I heard a lot of people say it's stiff and not comfortable and that's a problem.. Anyone can help?
Guys, I used to be a car dealer and got a chance to drive everything... after all I can say that nothing drives better than Benzes! S are heaven of driving but Es are also great great cars! Lexus are nice too but u have a feel of that cheep Japanese plastic and light weight. When in a Benz - (built like tanks)
Andrei T Lexus have plastics? this e class has plastics as well brother. Even the top end s class still has plastics in it even though in few areas. There's no luxury car that doesn't have plastic in it except Rolls Royce really cause that's highly bespoke.
My uncle has a B class which I drove a few times, also I drove an A class and they are both great cars but very different from once to other! first of all the handling skills and the body style so just like curves on the cars and various exterior particulars and you can actually see an improvement for the interiors quality compared to the prev models. This Benz E class is a good coupe for sure but it seems to be heavy, very low-powered but it's a sports luxury car and you certainly donot have to pretend a sports car, for that you can get an AMG.
The estate in this model looks even better with tinted rear windows the w212 estate is the best looking around 350 has sunning performance and load space is great .
Does this car have voice commands for the climate controls/settings and audio functions?. While he was driving I have to say there was noise in the cabin, don't know whether that was road noise, a/c fan or wind noise. But there was noise in the cabin
I'm surprised he didn't bring up the lazy automatic windshield wipers in this review despite the rain. My mom had this car and that was her only complaint.. Lol
lovin f30 hahaha....yes indeed. I drive mercedes for a lots of years and yes....the whindshield whipers are shit indeed....but that is also for me the only thing i dislike about them.
I have noticed the windshield wiper problem too. There does not seem to be as many settings on the variable intermittent wipers. They seem to be to too fast even on the lowest variable setting. Really obvious in drizzle where the delay needs to be longer. A good coating of Rain-X to the windshield or in the washer fluid would help. Rain-C would really work in steady moderate to heavy rain. I have used on other vehicles and Rain-X slugged off all the rain without even using the wipers at all.
Hey man, I subscribed to your channel like two weeks ago, and I've gotta say, I really enjoy your videos :) I DESPERATELY want to get a subaru wrx for my next car. Anyway, keep it up!
Odd, and rather a glaring omission that he didn't discuss the Comfort/Sport Mode button on the center console, since he's a performance car guy by nature.
if you're talking about the e350, I found several amazing offers with 1 owner, no accidents. for all around the same price (40k). Basically the only difference was color. It's been over a month and let me tell you driving this is amazing!
+Niclacoste Did you pick one? I was between the same two as certified models a couple months ago. I went with the '13 E350 4matc Sport with the premium packages. I really could not get used to the new headlight design, although the premium ones performed well. It takes away from the signature split headlight setup that I grew up with on previous E-classes. The '14 comand system is slower than the '13 because of upgraded useless graphic design, and ismore complicated even though it does the same exact thing. The whole comand system layout was very well designed on the '10-13' models, and I believe they just played around and redesigned it just so they can say they upgraded something. It's very counter intuitive if you try both systems. However, with that said, the one thing that really pushed me over the edge was that they cheapened the interior starting with the '14 model. They removed some wood and aluminum trim around the steering wheel and replaced it with plastic. Even the wood trim itself does not look as high quality as that of the '13 model. Same goes for the cheap plastic cover around the nav screen. The tach center looks more expensive on the '13 model as well. Don't forget, there's also a small price difference.
+iggibars Thanks for the info bro. I noticed they did remove the split headlights in the 2014 model, I didn't know a lot of people were upset with the new headlights. I think if they kept the new headlights but made kept the original split design it would look really nice because I'm a sucker for the LED DRLs. I'm trading in my G37 for a E350 in March so hopefully I'll decide by then, but I definitely want to get the same trim as you 4Matic with sport package. Congrats on the Benz!
What year was your G37, did you like it? Im thinking of purchasing a 2013 one but I'm also looking at a 2011 E350. If you got the E350 how do you like it?
Now 2019 you can get one for only 8.000EURO in Germany, thats 9.000DOLLARS for a luxury car. I want to buy one but since i need a more off-road vehicle thats off course also luxurious, that can handle deep holes in the road. I think im going to buy the Porsche Cayenne 2002-2010, and off course in Germany, since it costs 47.000DOLLARS in Denmark for a used one, and in Germany it only cost 9.000DOLLARS. Thats a huge difference, and it costs so much in Denmark because of the 150% tax that you need to pay when you buy a new car, and off course you're thinking "why would'nt anyone in Denmark just buy cars in Germany" that because you still have to pay import tax, its a bit lower than the 150% but people are jsut really lazy. And no i dont have to pay import tax since im just going to register it in another country and drive with that plates in Denmark:-)
The best looking e class ever.

kodjo J.J. Dagba it starts from 13k here in georgia(not the state.)
now 20 000euro
The 2010s now go for 9-11k here in miami!!
Mercedes are not known to be reliable, HOWEVER, I hear the E350 is pretty reliable if you get the non 4matic.
AND has loads more character than the 5-Series and not the numb steering of the A6 !
I absolutely love this car! Great first car it's right now not too expensive and its alot of car for the money and I would love to hear your thoughts on the car!
Just bought one in 2024 with 120,000 miles as a daily for my C43.
This car is a tank and drives smooth like butter
Looks better than the newer Mercedes today!
Agreed!
I just bought a 2012 MB e350 now, Love it, sooooo smooth!!! The best car ever!!
Hey Rina, I'm about to get one also but I'm looking at 2013 or 15. I might even consider a 2012 like what you got. Do you mind telling me what you got your '12 for?

I agree James! I have a 2007 e350 Mercedes with 151k miles, not one problem!!! love it!!!
Do a quick google on "Mercedes M272 Balance Shaft failure"

Me too, I just bought a 2012 e350, 302hp, love it!!!
Young guy does excellent Job reviewing. Professional touch.
2010-2012 had some of the nicest cars
love the fog lights
A thing I really love about the W212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, is that more aggressive look. Especially on the E63 AMG.
Once again, great review, Matt:)

Amazingly beautiful design. Driving since last four years. E350 bluetec. Love it
Love my e550 4Matic w/ AMG appearance package ,nearly 400hp and plenty of torque for a luxury mid size sedan, plus who doesn't love that star ornament ❤
The e500 with that V8 just completes the package on this thing. Truly a great, reliable euro if the find one now that's been cared for.
"It's so quiet in here! I could almost whisper!" Yeah...that's because you're only going about 15 mph. LOL
even at 60mph, it's still quieter than Honda Accord but then Roll Royce Phanthom still take the cake.
You never had to drive Benz! I 💯
Ive had this car for sometime now, only issues I've had with this is the ISM and Ignition Switch went bad, which threw the car into Park whenever I went 5mph or under. Being stuck in traffic was a complete safety issue and death wish. I took it to the dealer to have the ISM and Igniton switch replaced, cost roughly $2,500. No issues so far after the repairs.
Keep reviewing more german cars!!! These are great videos man. Good job.
Just purchased a 2013 E350 4matic and I love it !
Has it been reliable?
Friends dad has this car in AMG, and it pulls like fuckin hell lol
" How they manage that with 268 Horsepower " ... LOL .... 268 HP in a Car in the 80s was considered a performance Rocket , considering most sedans back then averaged about 150-160 Horsepower . Follow up I went with a 2011 E350 RWD. Same color/trim combo as your tested vehicle. I didn’t know about the center console cursor to press down then rotate. Premium package #1 and rectangular moonroof not panoramic.
How is it nowadays ? How many miles ?
Putting it in sport mode lets it downshift faster. You don't need to use the paddles either.
I'm really curious if it's even possible for you to mash the throttle in any car and not break into a huge grin within a couple seconds! It's great that you enjoy them so much
I love the E Class.
I have a 2008 version of E. Class and would never change it a 2010 and there is no comparison . The workmanship on my car specially interior is so beautiful and lovely.
Yes it’s more comfy and designed but not more durable n kid proof
I'm surprised he didn't mention the gear selector. It's similar to BMW's shifter, but it's a column mounted version. It goes back to center after you shift, and to put it in park you press the button on the end. Also, the seats aren't real leather, which I thought was strange for a Merc.
The E class doesn't come with leather standard but comes with an option for it.

Have to comment on this since I own both.. What did u end up with
there is a sport mode that opens the exhaust and improves throttle response and tightens steering feel you didn't have it on
Excellent review. I've noticed all the same things you have. An excellent car with luxury and power.
Planning to buy 2010 model with AvantGarde package..
My question is this E class comfy to ride? I heard a lot of people say it's stiff and not comfortable and that's a problem.. Anyone can help?
This guy lives what he does. Good shit!
I agree! ☝️
Found one in great shape for 6900, tempted
It sounded great when he hit the gas. :)
You don't need to use the gear lever to put back to D. Just hold the + paddle after downshifting. Does the same.

Joe Billz is that on this car as standard? thought that was standard only on the S class when talking about this model year.

my favorite Mercedes Benz is the E55 AMG sedan.

Hey man, I subscribed to your channel like two weeks ago, and I've gotta say, I really enjoy your videos :) I DESPERATELY want to get a subaru wrx for my next car. Anyway, keep it up!
I have one it’s a bad ass car
Is it realible?
Kid Dynamite very reliable the best E class better than all its competitors
@@oririona5462 Thanks!
I noticed the dual fog lights is that a 4matic specific? The ones I see have the “Hockey Stick” fog lights.
They changed the fog lights in 2012.the rounds don't look that great.the ones in 12s and up look much better
Odd, and rather a glaring omission that he didn't discuss the Comfort/Sport Mode button on the center console, since he's a performance car guy by nature.
Nice review! and your cute!! :) I have a 2007 e350, want a new e350, what year should I get with this body style?
I need help. I want to buy this used what is considered ok mileage
so apparently a great machine but comments say don't get 4matic...what other options do you have?
hey matt do you think the weight will make it better for the snow? along w the 4matic of course
Is this the same as the coupe?
Tell me , now you have a C class , which do you like better ??? Thank you ...
These are used as taxis and are pretty reliable
Can you tell me again? Is it a luxury car?!?
You did an excellent review I was deciding between a BMW m5 Lexus is250 c or this and this review made my choice official
Did you mean a BMW 535i? The M5 is completely different from the is250 or the e350.
Naw m5 dude, either wanted superb luxury or super performance Lexus was the middle ground
BboyB100RandoM I was torn between this (e350 2014 4matic), M5, or an A8, I chose this and honestly couldn't be happier.
Did it take you awhile to find a good one?
if you're talking about the e350, I found several amazing offers with 1 owner, no accidents. for all around the same price (40k). Basically the only difference was color. It's been over a month and let me tell you driving this is amazing!
Is there a back up camera ?
yes
Do you live around Irwin Pa?
This and the new s series coupes are the most beautiful mercs
@caroll basken 5 year old comment mate. I've definitely learned that since then lol
Is this a 200000 or 300000 car like a town car. Also how about the diesel version?
anyone have any issues with this car in terms of reliability?
+Jordan Bibbs I think you mean 110,000
+TheTreyVidz yeah typo.
I just bought one with 181,000 miles on it. I assume the previous owners had no major issues with it.
+Chris McManus the drove that thing into the ground lol. No problems with it?
+Chris McManus Recent Automotive article stated that the 2010-2016 E Class was ranked the top most reliable luxury car.
le plus beau modele que MERCEDES a pu faire a ce jour
Those seats aren't leather. Nice review!
Beautiful car, very nice job on the review.
You should do a review of the E550
I like this dude!! Good reviewer!
Look very good but I'm looking for a 2007 I like the body style
I am trusting God for one soon #MrKeihuriNyaga. Good review
U should review da 2012 srt8 300c
Doors are heavy cause there's so many wires for memory seats?
No mostly because of the hard reinforced aluminum in the doors and the sound deadening and thicker glass.
You should do a review on the Hyundai Veloster
Awesome review thank you..
Deciding between the 2013 or 2014 e350
It's really cheap only 20k but they are not reliable. It will cost a fortune when it breaks
+cwillfrommd * broke
What year was your G37, did you like it? Im thinking of purchasing a 2013 one but I'm also looking at a 2011 E350. If you got the E350 how do you like it?
How is the reliably? This or the m35/45?
Abdul Maxamad this is better it would last longer
We have these as taxis in my country 😂
TH-cam Hero where do you live, Monte Carlo?
Because they are good and reliable cars , even rolls royce are been used as taxi in Dubai
probably not the best driving, but mercedes have a prestigious feel
How much is it now
Around 10K.
It’s also a fairly reliable car ( from what I’ve read ) which means you could go for higher mileage, at a lower cost. 🤷♂️
The ornament was only used on the sedan model.
Review the new 3-series please with the new 8 speed automatic that BMW has.
