- This is Space Marine Steve signing on and welcoming you to the very first episode of "Kill Team: Challenger"! We are so excited that you're joining us.
In our first challenge, JT McDowell brings a gaggle of Orks to contend with the might of the Salamanders as they feud over the remains of a crashed Drop Pod.
This is the first episode of the inaugural season of "Kill Team: Challenger". We are experimenting. We are having fun with it. And, we hope you enjoy the evolution of this new show with us.

Hello, Everyone! Welcome to the pilot episode of a brand new show! This is Kill Team Challenger! This channel is one of my favorites to watch for warhammer 40k and you inspired me to finally get a starter kit and an ork army. Space marines and orks are my favorites. So excited for this series.

I wonder if this is, like, Steve's thing... Playing chapters without the thing that makes the chapters famous. I remember the match where he played White Scars without bikes, now Salamanders without flamers. What's next? Blood Angels without assault?
@@necasperaterent29386 its a shame since when he does use the specific tactics they work well, when he did use the bike captain when he played white scars, he used it well and the captain demolished alot of models

Because TV is terrible and this is excellent. Why would you want them to take a backward step.
if this ended on TV it would be 2 in the morning and not on demand (here in UK anyway) At least with youtube can watch it when it comes out and rewatch with mates. Love your shows guys.

Seriously great energy here, both players had huge stage presence and added so much to the game. The editing and filming is truly top notch too, I love the circling of units, dynamic camera angles, and the cheesy special effects definitely add a bit of fun flavor to the mix. Funnest game of 40k, let alone Kill Team, I've ever seen!

Those pink and cyan circles are not in some of your other videos but they are SO HELPFUL for someone who doesn't know all the names of the dudes. It also makes it much easier to see who is moving/shooting who.

This is INSANE LEVEL OF PRODUCTION AND EDITION. INSANE.
Every other BatRep channel I know is so slowly paced that I am sadly at risk of falling asleep or getting bored sometimes. That's a huge advantage of you guys and also you take up less time

I'm so glad this is a series! I've always preferred Kill Team to regular 40K and this is such a novel and unique concept
This is fun! Keep on making Kill Team battle reps, they are super interesting. You see all the action, no skipping of stuff like in larger and longer battles.

One thing, not sure if you missed it or someone else said it: You always get a CP each turn. Your leader gives you 1 extra. So instead of 2 you get 1 when your leader dies.

Kill Team Challenger has been approved for a full season :) so! That means 8 episodes or so to see how things go and if it all goes well... it will get approval for subsequent seasons!

I'm loving this new series and I can't wait to see what is in store!!!
I do have a small change/addition I'd like to see for the series, and that is in some way, showing us the die rolls more often. Either it's by way of video evidence or just a number popping up in the video, there were times I wish I knew the what was rolled and only knew it was good or bad based on the player reactions.
I hope you see this and I hope it wouldn't add too much extra work for you guys but it would be nice for more clarity/understanding.

Love Kill Team, so very hyped on seeing all different factions trying to take on the Marines. If this goes well, perhaps you can make a kill team campaign, with lore involved
Part of 40k in 40's success is its catchy name. Perhaps "Killer Take All" or something similar to make the terms of the competition clearer?

Sweet! KILL TEAM! I was worried you guys wouldn't come back after the initial KT video. I get that it's a side hustle, but if you could afford some time for graphics, maybe an active model counter or something to show when the breaking rolls are about to start? That always seems to be the most dramatic part in our home games. Just something small that shows kill counts/flesh wounds and an indicator of where the break rolls start.
Can't wait for more.
