Eating everything at Disneyland Hong Kong. It was magical.

  • I ATE THROUGH HONG KONG'S DISNEYLAND, so you don't have to. I didn't do many of the dine in restaurant options, but I did try to go to a vending cart or snack stand at every world at the Hong Kong Disneyland. Please bear in mind that Hong Kong Disneyland isn't that big, so there are only 7 worlds: Main Street, USA; Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Mystic Point, Adventureland, Grizzly Gulch and Toy Story Land. I tried some classics, like the Mickey Mouse doughnuts, turkey leg, the frozen treats, churros, and the Dole Whip "lookalike", but also got some Hong Kong specific foods like korean squid, egg puffs, and more!
    When I was growing up, my parents didn't really ever buy me amusement park or movie theatre food because it was so expensive, so I thought, why don't I try all the snack food at Disneyland so if you can splurge, then you know what items you should buy (and avoid).
    Being a Disneyland food newbie, let me know how I did! What were some things that I missed out on that I should most definitely go back to try next time? Let me know in the comments below!

    That was a lot of food for one day. I went there in 2017. I’m in my 60s and still a child at heart when it comes to Disneyland. I focused on the rides, but did eat and it was a very hot and humid day, so those indoor rides in air conditioning were great.

    What a fun video. Thanks for sharing your day Virginia. Sorry that it was so hot and uncomfortable. I went to HK Disneyland once back in 2007. I assume a lot has changed since then. My Mom works at Disneyland in California and she was able to get me in for free when I was there for holiday. And my goodness all that food. You must have had a food coma. 🤤 lol 😂.

    You should probably adjust the mic gain for the next video though. Audio sounding extra crispy lol.

      Hahah the complaining energy? Hahah I’m still glad you enjoyed it! Yes thanks for the feedback regarding the sound. It’s extra crackly… I think I upped the volume bc it was so noisy that day but it was a bit too much. Unf, I think those settings were constant for a couple more videos during that time, but I’m definitely aware now!!! Thanks for letting me know! Really helps me a lot =)

    What a fun video! Love to see the differences of HK Disney foods compared to what we have here in the U.S. Thank you for eating your way through and giving us your fishball opinions/ratings although I am not a fan of blue foods.

    Thanks for eating through HKDL, I rarely spend my time eating during my visit; I am too busy shopping and lining up for the rides. I always hit up Mystic Manor attraction; only HKDL has it. They don't have the Haunted Mansion because in Chinese culture, we don't speak ill of the dead for they will haunt us.

    • @hongkongfoodtours
      @hongkongfoodtours  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh really!!! I did not know that but HK disneyland isn’t that big compared to the one in Florida or Cali. Will have to go again to try the ride - thanks for the heads up and for dropping by! 🥳

    Dole Whip is more like a more dense soft serve with a very strong fruit flavour (usually pineapple, but they have lots of other flavours too). Thanks for sharing the HK snack options in Disneyland

    Hi Virginia! 😃 Love your channel, and I've been loving all the recent regular content. It's so entertaining! I'm not sure whether it's my phone quality, or my TV, but sometimes the audio is 'crackly'? I can hear all audio, but it sounds like it's windy all the time.
    Keep up the great content. I can't wait to take my family to Hong Kong and book a food tour with you. 💗

      Hi!!! Thanks for dropping by and yes! You’ve got keen ears. I think it was clipping bc during the recording I pushed the volume too high. Even in post, I wasn’t able to fix it 😬 I think it’s better now but there are a couple of videos with this crackly before I caught on (sorry!). Hahah I’m a newbie with equipment so excuse me as I learn what everything does 😝 I really appreciate you letting me know though! It’s important so I can improve!

    I wish we had the Mickey egg puffles here! But I guess we do have the dole whip instead(I usually get a pineapple dole whip swirl float). HKDL is definitely small compared to WDW and DL/DCA, but still unique. I remember taking the Disney themed MTR over there. Having the mountains in the background doesn't hurt either. They also specifically had the haunted houses during the Halloween events, which I wish they had over here in the U.S. Halloween events.

    • @hongkongfoodtours
      @hongkongfoodtours  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh you guys don’t have haunted houses and Halloween themed events? It’s a big thing here - I’m sure it’ll catch on soon as it seems to be good for profits 💲

      @@hongkongfoodtours we have Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween event at Magic Kingdom, but no haunted houses, which is ok, because Universal Studios has plenty of haunted houses during their Halloween Horror Nights event.

    Only at a theme park, I'd recommend eating plenty of sugars and high calories food. All the walking will eventually kill off all the calories LOL. But I did a HK to US price conversion. Damn It's expensive, but to be expected at disneyland. On your next video, can you recommend some nice places for a family with young kids to do in Hong Kong? Also, any chance you're visiting Taiwan? Wish you can do a night market review there one of these days =). Hope you have a great day.
