Gilmour is not overrated, he's underrated
Truth!
For me mr is in top 5 of all time.He dont need speed, the way he play is unic.
We don't call him David Gilgod for nothing!
and that ladies and gentlemen is how you finish a show
SORROW from this concert is another great one !
I totally agree with Harry!! Please react to Sorrow from the Pulse concert!!!
I was at Earl's Court for this concert. It was the most amazing I had ever seen, and the most amazing I ever expect to see! One of those screams from the crowd is probably mine!
Yeah, I think I heard ya! Lucky bastard! ;-]
Me too I was spoon fed drip fed on Pink Floyd growing up 😂
I really REALLY ENVY YOU!!!
Thats REAL MUSIC BABY!!!!!!!
This is true entertainment. The world will never witness this kind ever again. No cell phones and the audience is just indulged in the pure aweness. Love Pink Floyd
To think the encore was Wish You Were Here, followed by Comfortably Numb, and then Run Like Hell. What a spectacle and what a way to end a man amazing show. Greatest ever!!
I've never heard anyone say David Gilmour is overrated
I have, very few though. And it's not that they don't think he's great, they just think some people put him on too high a pedestal.
Me too.
Maybe homeless delusionals
The sound woth the visuals. Sensory overload.
Grand finalle...Epic performance 👏👏👏
You’ll never see a better concert in your lifetime
Great memories. Still gives me goosebumps watching it. I was there the night they filmed Pulse at Earls Court. Best concert of my life! Love your reactions to music 💓
Brings back fantastic memories! Saw this show in Cleveland in 1994. One of the greatest nights of my life!
We saw this show at ASU stadium. Epic.
Indianapolis, 1994. And, unfortunately, the camera with the pics, was left at the show by accident. 😭
Clemson, SC May 94
The transition from the intro into the song is the smoothest coolest thing I've ever heard.
Those who were there as I was, Soldier Field Chicago, can attest to the fact that any hearing you may have had left up to this point, was now gone. Between the 200,000 watt surround sound speaker system and pyrotechnics, it took about a week for my hearing to fully come back. To tell you the truth I'm still not real sure that it ever did. It felt like the entire stadium was about to explode. A thunderous chaos of light sound and 70,000 people screaming at the top of their lungs.
What an experience!!
@@flubblert My dad and I saw them in 94 Divison Bell Tour in Chapel Hill NC at the University. It was amazing
Now I know why I still sometimes have trouble hearing. Perfectly described. I felt the same way after every Pink Floyd concert.
Gilmour spared no expense in providing the ultimate concert experience. From the lights, to a good mixing master, as well as the Leslie speakers. The crowd is enraptured.
New Orleans superdome 1994 we saw them play, truly the best concert I have ever seen !!
Consider watching 'Sorrow' from this concert as well. On your own time, watch the entire concert in 1 go---you will have a better appreciation of the interplay among the musicians.
One of the best guitarists ever! Great voice too.
I love Dave’s wardrobe. Black T shirt and a pair of blue jeans. No biggie. Like he’s fixing to mop his kitchen floor.
now that you are into PF, you are ready for Echoes - Live at Pompeii (1971)
Saw this tour in Tempe at ASU stadium. Mind blowing
I was also at this concert and you're right about how worked up the crowd sound, we knew this was the closing number and we knew what was coming. Amazing close to an amazing night. There are two PF songs that seems to be rarely covered but are great, "Dogs of War", you should really try it and "On the Turning Away" which is beautiful, neither was played at Pulse but have been in previous tours. There were only 3 actual members of PF taking part, David Gilmour, Nick Mason (the sitting drummer) and Richard Wright (keyboards) (Richard has very sadly since died). The bass player is a regular with them Guy Pratt, he was married to Richard Wright's daughter (now divorced), Gary Wallis was percussion and 2nd drummer, Jon Carin 2nd keyboards, Tim Renwick 2nd guitar, Dick Parry played Sax (see Dogs of War!). There is one other founding member of PF still alive and that's Roger Waters, played bass and wrote a lot of their songs, he left in 1985 following disagreements with Gilmour who described his bass playing as "limited".
"Echoes (Part 1)" live at Pompeii 1972
No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods
On The Turning Away is another epic Floyd tune you must react to!!
check out some of Pink Floyds Pompei show. David's much older but still kicking ass
It makes even more sense within context of the concept album "The Wall". It's worth your time to listen to the entire album(s) beginning to end. Your enthusiasm is well placed with Pink Floyd.
You have to check out The Wall from beginning to end...WITH the lyrics. It is a masterpiece!
That final boom, and the stage appearing to explode, was something to experience! Wish they were still around. Unforgettable experience watching them live. Nothing comes even close, really. Not even to this day.
At some point, I would suggest taking the time to watch/listen to this entire show. You will certainly enjoy it and it is absolutely worth your time.
ECHOES live at Gdansk..... GOAT
I'm nit-picking here, but "Pulse" is the name of the live album (and subsequent DVD) that came after the "Division Bell Tour".
Still waiting for you to do SORROW from the Pulse concert...my favorite. Enjoy your PF reactions!
Tip of the iceberg brother !
Gilmour is not overrated. It depends on how you look at the subject, but he´s at least in the pantheon of the greatest rock-guitarists of all time. At least! 🙂 PLEEEEEEEEEASE do: ECHOES Live in Pompeii 1971/72 ... pleeeeeease! 🙂
Couldn't agree with you more
🙃👋🏼
From the same Pulse collection, please check out SORROW.
David Gilmour is a great guitarist and great person.
"CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE EUGENE". from the 1971 live at Pompeii video!! You will jump out of your chair!!!! You ask for something different that you haven't heard and new, well there it is!!!
I was at Earl's Court in 1994 for this concert, also saw them in Chantilly Paris.
I seen Pink Floyd three times in all three times they're amazing to watch I seen the animals concert I've seen dark side of the Moon I also seen the wall the amazing band to watch
TRY 'ECHOES' From Pink Floyd.. Live at Pompeii 1971 (I think, maybe 1972) it's in 2 parts.. Maybe do part one in one reaction then part 2. But there is somewhere on you tube parts one and two together)
Cheers for the shout out
Love Pink Floyd and never heard of this one neither ❤❤❤
I have never heard this song before, but this is rockin and this is awesome. Pink Floyd really knows how to entertain. I really wish I had seen them in concert. I don’t know if they still do concerts but this song is awesome.
This song always goes best with a full bowl of some Oregon grown bud. Maybe two.
@ 3:40 in your video David plays the tune to Vera Lynn - “We’ll Meet Again” before coming back into Run Like Hell. Superb. What a song, stage, lights, sound 🎸😎
Youve got 5 albums to go through yet. All life changing. Before you enter into the pinnacle of audio/video art. The Wall the movie. This song is part of the chapter that will literally make you say. "What the Fuck!"
If I recall this is the closing song.
Watch Run Like Hell in the movie The Wall. Brings context if you watch the entire movie. Pretty dark.
Sorrow from pulse also Money from pulse concert
Learning To Fly Pulse
Greetings from Miami. Please check out the ***PULSE live*** version of TIME.
Hey Prada, did you watch "Sorrow " yet? Or the "Great Gig in the Sky, Shine on you Crazy Diamond " ? I haven't seen those videos yet!
@3:00 toy say "There music makes you want to kick back and light one up" made me lol because Pink Floyd was initially a psychodelic band and a lot of their original music was written by Syd Barret who fried his brain on LSD.
SORROW NEXT
Another great reaction Prada, thank you. I agree with you completely, - it's f*!!**g ACE!! I think you would enjoy watching the full length feature film "The Wall" which puts everything from the album in total perspective as it portrays the life story of "Pink", (played by Bob Geldof). It brings to life the meaning behind the lyrics of the songs on "The Wall" album.
Thanks again Prada, and I hope you continue to enjoy the journey.
I've been listening to Pink Floyd for over 50 years and not once did I hear anyone say that David Gilmore is overrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You'll enjoy this one😅
You might want to check out The Wall, the movie. yeah, there's a movie. You'll get a lot of context from that. When it gets to this song in the movie, Pink is long gone mentally.
WOW love that you're so open minded I would really love to see you're reaction to ''not now John'' by the one and only PINK FLOYD ... I bet you haven't heard it.
React to David Gilmour, live in Pompeii 2016, "In any Tongue". He's touring again at 78yrs old. He'll only be at the Hollywood Bowl and in New York in the US. It's a world wide tour again to promote his new album.
Mr that is the best live in history of music 100%.This version of comfortably numb have the best guitar solo ever.Gilmur not play notes, play his soul. For me pink floyd is the best band.
Suggestions you say?
Steve Vai Tender Surrender (live)
Joe Satriani Flying in a Blue Dream (live)
Stray Cats Rock This Town (Live)
I miss you so much 💋🔥😘😍😘😍💖
You want to know more about Pink, then you have to react to, The Wall, plenty of context in there, enjoy Bro.
Tbh, that description at the end sounds more fitting for another song on the same album, called 'In The Flesh.' The album's called 'The Wall' & there's a movie to accompany the whole album. And the scenes during Run Like Hell are the fascists charging through the streets, breaking in to homes, smashing the place up & terrorising anyone who didn't 'fit the bill.' Hence why all through they're saying you better run.
Love ❤this
People say that Dave over rated maybe cause you have to listen not just hear him play.He speaks with his playing as his wife have said."Run Like hell is 1 of 5 songs that P.F. could play from the "Wall", Roger left in 1985 with all the rights from the Wall. " their last concert> Pulse" 200,000 watts of power . 128 wireless speakers> 300 ton stage> 3 sets of them. The second biggest gross act in 1994. Try some of Dave's solo work after P.F. ***********
Funny how those 5 songs were the only ones I liked on the double album. Waters was always over rated, not Gilmour. Gilmour and Wright made the music, Waters wrote lyrics, but was never much of a musician.
From The Wall a dark double album saga ,,Worth getting to know the whole context ,Its a concept album. The tree at the end bow are originals only a certain bass player called Roger Waters missing who was responsible for a great deal of the writing .. Some great text ,
two minute intro crazy? you should do shine on you crazy diamond studio version if you haven't already
You should do echoes, full, songs from Pompeii.
my fav 2 guitarist are David and : STEVE VAI .. do some steve vai reactions : tender surrender . for the love of god . bad horsie :D
I think he has a good voice. Not mentioned much.
Hello Prada West my phone isn't working properly! Please be patient don't give up on us please I love you💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋❤️💋💋
Sweetheart it's me my phone is acting up again 😩😩😩😩😩😩
i have never heard anyone but you say he is overrated
I guess some younger people who don’t know of the GOATS probably think that…
bene adesso devi guardare il film the Wall di Alan Parker
Do yourself a favor and listen to the Original from The Wall?Actually listen to the whole wall. And roger wilder's version from his latest wall tours next level
No one ever said David Gilmour is overrated! He’s the guitar God!!!
Andy Edwards did.
But I don't think he's over rated, he's more about emotional phrasing rather than being a virtuoso
Deftones- Digital bath 🛁 you won’t be disappointed!!
