The best beer I ever tried in Spain so far comes from a small brewery in Barcelona called Garage Beer. They always have around 12 different beers on tap, several IPAs, Lager, Stout and so on. All of them brewed by themselves, most of them are simply delicious! 😊 They also sell it in cans, so you might be able to find it in some specialty shops around Madrid.
I'll definitely look out for these beers in Sept when I visit Mojacar, not seen any last year in the local supermarkets. It's a great channel and thank you for all the insights into Spanish Spain.
How fun to come across a beer tasting video, while having one myself. 😜 Will keep my eyes open if I go to Spain again in autumn, to hopefully taste something from a smaller breweries too.
Hola Stuart, Really enjoyed your beer testing vlog tonight. A smile all the way through, I suppose you drank the lot after you finished🤣🤣 where I live in Wales we have a lot of what they called micro breweries, which do a lot of different beers , a micro brewery Bar that I do visit they must have at least 12 to 13 different selections you would love it👍👍🍻. I must say those beers are a little strong for me, but I think I'd be ok with the 5.2 alcohol content the one that's your favourite, I'm back in Spain soon I will look out for it👍🍻. I am looking forward to the IPA tasting session 🍻 cheers mate Steve 👍
Great video. Looking forward to trying the three yo no he probado. I'm a fan of the 1906, having tested it on the Camino Frances last fall, amongst others. ;-) I love their marketing on their bottles. Here's my translation of the bottle I had in Las Herrerias. 1906: OUR MOST PERSONAL INTERPRETATION. "The world belongs to those who have their own vision and dare to show it. To those who, starting from the same ingredients, use their talent and their intuition to do everything differently. Because something that is extraordinary is the result of having a unique way of doing things." Real fine sales pitch if you ask me! LOL. Cheers!
According to a statistics website, the per head beer consumption ranking in Europe is as follows. 1) Chech Republic, 2) Germany, 3) Austria, 4) Spain, 5) Republic of Ireland 6) Netherlands 7) U.K. * another statistics webpage even had Poland and Rumania in the top 4 ranking.
Stu thanks for this brilliant video really enjoyed it, we have only tried the 1906, but now can't wait to get back to spain to try the other 3 ,really looking forward to the next Beer video, kind regards from North Yorkshire Yorkshire
A friend of mine worked in the beer industry for almost 50 years. He says that the best beer is in a glass from a bottle. Beer directly from the bottle, from a can or, the worst, draft beer, have too much CO2 and is too acid for that reason.
Sam Squire 50 lashes. Tropical pale ale. Alco Ginger beer too. All Been on last 3 weeks in Queensland Aussie. Nice. Back to cold UK and our UK beauties tonight
Great Video Stu. A bit disappointed that you didn't drink a bit more. A lot of viewers would have liked to hear your political opinion after half a dozen beers. Maybe in the next wine/beer-tasting video, you could set up the Karaoke machine and we the viewers could send in some requests. 🫣😆keep up the good work 💪😆
I like voll-damm doble malta. It has 7,2% alcohol. To slowly take it as a pint. The Spanish way to drink beer is different. Mercadona sells a beer of this kind but much cheaper. Made in Morocco. Besides the vol-damm in Mercadonas' shelves.
haven’t tried your fav, but will tomorrow if i can find it in Galicia! I like the 1906 “Helles Bock” that you had, but I REALLY like the 1906 Colorada - Vintage Red “Dopplebock”, But what do you expect from a galego? … But I must admit it’s tough to beat Belgian beers!
Finally! The long-awaited Beer video! Congratulations!

'Toasted' in English would probably be rendered as 'roasted' for beer.
Alhambra is delicious….Estrella Damm/Galicia are alright….. just returned from a 10-day trip with my wife to visit her family in Barcelona.

Cruzcampo purchased in the UK supermarkets tastes very different from the Spanish brand. You may even like it Stu 😂🍺
I struggle between Estrella Galicia and Mahou Classic. My two favourite beers definitely.
Mahou Cinco Estrella for me 👌🏼 I'm not a fan of classico.

Thanks for the fun video. I’m not a big beer drinker, I prefer wine, so I appreciate the educational presentation. Well done.

Amazing content Stuart. thank you so much.
Great choices! I just found some 1906 this week in San Francisco. If I can't be in Spain right now, at least I can have some Spanish beer.
living in Barcelona, so the standard daily street beers here are Estrella Damm and Estrella Galicia. The red with the yellow star is iconic here.
Hi Stu, I can only get the 1906 in Mercadona here in Moraira. Although I will defo' be on the look out for the other three now. Cheers.🍺🍺
please,never cans,it must be bottles

Positively agree with the bottle philosophy but can’t always get them.

I like the idea .Surely Victoria deserves a mention.
Looking forward to these beers next time I go back to Spain. Looking forward to the IPA's who knows maybe even a Gin review
Interesting!
I haven't seen any of those here in canaries.
We have Dorada, San Miguel especial that's my favourite
My favourite beer in Spain is Alhambra, next would be Mahou but as long as it’s cold most beers will do…hic hic😂
Hi Stu
They taste better in my opinion in the bottle rather than a can.
Hi Stu
Just had a ice cold 1906 from the bottle beautiful.😊
Spent a lot of time in Spain but yet to find a half decent pint.
Although with the growth of artisan brewers there is hope.
Thanks

Lets hear it for Dorada! THE best beer from Tenerife! Nothing to compare! Especially Dorada Especial. Once tasted never forgotten.
Turia 👍👍
Another reason to move to Spain….
Cheers 🍻 😊

I disagree, cruzcampo is foul , Estrella s the best followed Mou
Voll-Damm double malt 👍👍

Give me a tinny any day of the week over a bottle 👍🍺🍺
1906….all the way ❤️
Fair doooos, I loved the first comment.
Salud.
If you can't get cask beer then stick to bottled beer... Canned beer is rubbish even if its cheap.... Tony cuenca
Promoting beach behaviour fluids☺️ why not reporting something truly interresting like Cannabis scene in Spain.
