There have been a few people who own the Civic Sport 2.0, and they’ve experienced oil leaks with that engine. Not sure if it’s just an outlier, or a bigger issue. Otherwise, I love this car. Looks amazing, and the 2.0 with the 6sp manual SHOULD be reliable long term.

@@lennygarrison6836 I’ve seen a couple videos where the 2.0 had valve cover gasket leaks. Easy fix but shouldn’t happen as soon as they do.

@@mattmcdowell1218yes, I’ve seen the same videos. The original video I saw was from a TH-cam channel called NAUS. I’m wondering if there has been a fix either on the manufacturing line, or with the possible faulty parts. And you’re right, this issue should not be happening this early. I’m hoping it’s just an aberration and not a common occurrence.

      Great walk-around, liked..!
FYI all... Hatch leak fix from Naus... 2022-2024 Civic Sport Hatchback 6-speed manual, 2.0 liter, posted 4/7/24, 7 minutes.
I'm wanting to get 2024 6-speed manual NA 2.0 liter... Still thinking Sonic Gray, or Lunar Silver, both are really sweet..! Thoughts..?!
      Blessings from Phoenix..! 🏜

I snagged a sport touring two years ago. Only use it on weekends and such. I still get excited when I get to take it out. I don't think you will regret it. Good luck.

I would not have got silver. I wanted a new Honda last year. I wanted a 23 Accord EX. My insurance was going up for my 6 months, 445.00. A Civic was 440 more. The lowest insurance hike was 235 on a 24 HRV EXL. I got the HRV EXL in Milano red for the lower insurance alone. So far so good. It’s on the Civic platform and interior. Plus the basic 2 liter 4 cylinder. I paid 29,000. No mark ups. I put 11,000 down with trade and 3 K cash. Payment 342.00. Interest rate 5.9.

    Do it! I love mine!
Throw a ktuner in and it really wakes up too, I’ve got mine revving to 7500 and vtec lowered to 4500, throttle response is sharp now as well. It’s a nice machine

This is a great option if you don’t plan on modding it, swapping engine parts, tune it etc etc, but if you do plan on turning/modding, then i highly suggest you buy a performance package SI/type r, as those engines are designed for tunning..

Awesome car Matt..! I'm trying to get exact same car right down to the paint..!
I sat in a new black 2024 automatic transmission at dealership couple days ago and man I could just feel the quality, really impressive.
    Two questions:
    1) How do you like it..?
    2) Any tips on how I should work with dealership to find this vehicle..? Since this is considered a low production model with 6-speed manual transmission.
Side notes: I met with Sales Rep at Honda Dealership here in Phoenix couple days ago to get the process rolling, but the Rep couldn't answer my question about how the process works to get the car... 😵‍💫
The only thing he could tell me is that Dealership has 30-day view of what's coming into dealership, and that they monitor for the desired car.
So I'm on "the list" for that car.
I probed and was hoping to get crisp answers like:
    A) "The List" is automatically bumped up against our projected inventory coming into us 30-days out.
    B) We also have access to manufacturer "build date" 90 days out, and if we see your car we get down payment from you and reserve the car for you.
    C) We have an Internet Team that searches for your car at other Honda Dealerships in our region, and if your vehicle located, we work to get it shipped to us.
    D) You need to go on Honda website and complete "build a vehicle" feature to get this car.
    E) We have access to cars being received by all Honda Dealerships in our state, and we search for your car, if located we work to get the car for you.
Ok I got none of the above except a weak reference to item A above.
Thank you for any information you can provide through your experience..!
    Blessings from Phoenix..! 🏜

The car is great. No regrets about getting a sport over the Si. I just think about the reliability of the 2.0. I really think I timed it just right and got a little lucky with my dealership getting one. Also not many people are looking around the holidays. I test drove the cvt on new years and they had a build date for the MT by late January.

      @brucemattingly6476 หลายเดือนก่อน

@mattmcdowell1218 Thanks Matt... great timing. I think I need to talk with Sales Manager to get better upstanding of all ways they are looking for the car.... and maybe get another dealership involved in the search... 🤨🤞

@mattmcdowell1218 Update Matt... Bought car yesterday, $1,500 on trade-in as is, $1,495 dealer prep package thrown in free. 🎉
Trading in 2010 Civic EX manual 193k+ miles.
Putting $3k down now, off Thur coming in to wrap up deal with $17k check more on down payment.
A little drama... I was texted by Anthony Salesman 2 hours before 2pm appt that it was being shown by another Salesman, and going on test drive... I just said your will be done Lord..., glad it went the way it did knowing rare sightings of this unicorn car ... was braced for it to go bye bye 👋
Car had 29 miles on it when my butt hit seat for my test drive 🙂
Earlier test drive passed as his size and weight didn't work...
I checked the hatch bolts where TH-camr Naus had leak issues... Hatch bolts appear to be seated properly..! 🤞
I pick up car this Thursday, drop off trade, finish the deal...! 🎆
Naus also gave me great Tip "Build" and "Search Inventory" on Honda website was pure gold..! There was 1 match car in Arizona, dealership 15 miles from home..! 🎉
Best wishes and Blessings from Phoenix Matt... enjoy the ride..! 🏜
