I know that I am years late commenting, but I’m sitting here trying to swap out a radio on a 330CI. The Metro dash kit requires that you pull the top vents out. We don’t do these super often, I’m glad that I had your video. I did not know about those tabs, I’d be buying the customer a replacement vent
You didn’t show us how you took out the ashtray and the pocket that’s right above it. When you pulled out the air controls you pulled it out with one hand underneath it and one above.
Hey man all your videos are very helpful I was wondering if you have a video on how to change or tighten a rear view mirror. Thanks again for all your vids
Hi new to your channel, & new to the BMW life I've purchased a 2000 Bmw 323i I've replaced parts that the previous owner took off n never put back on. I'm planning on upgrading n updating the interior changing the drab tan interior with a black n blue interior, swapping the motor with an S52 rebuilt n stand alone ecm for the motor n stand alone ecm for main functions for car, any tips that you could suggest I'm all ears. Thanks in advance. Matt S.
hi i have problem with some noise when the car is in the sun "summer time"i got some strange sound like cricket and like something broke and it bumping the right side of the dash board .I think that is the windscreen ventilation .do you have any solutions how to fix it ? During the winter there is no that sound :-) Pls help
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, it's just great. I have a problem with the sunroof of my 330i E46 2002. For some reason it seems like there's something on the way I believe. It opens fine but when you close it it doesn't close all the way and it gets back to the open position. You need to keep trying until it finally closes. What could I do about it, how do I take it apart to check it out ? Thanks so much for your help and greetings from Costa Rica.
+Gio Vargas Take off the sunroof glass, and then just look at the tracks and see if the clips for the shade have broken off and causing the track to jam. Thanks for watching!
I just dropped a screw in the air duct of the windshield defroster... Can I even get to it? Without removing the whole dash? Edit: I was hoping I could access the defroster vent by removing the front vent. It doesnt work..pretty stupid idea in retrospect lol I ended up glueing a strong magnet to a long strip of flexible cardboard and fished out the screw with that.
hey, thanks for the tutorial,it was wery helpfull. I removed my central vents because once in a while it makes a strange sound,(a strange sound cames fron inside the central vents)so I though it's the vents inside, but to my surprise, there wasn't any vent inside :)) do you know what can make that sound?
+cristi smile Hey, most likely the noise is coming from the HVAC unit itself. It is behind the dash and is probably opening and closing or something of that sort. Try to drive around with the fan and everything turned off and see if it still makes noise.
I have a question, I have a bmw e 46 and it has normal gauge cluster, and i was thinking about changing it with a newer version with crome rings inside but I dont know does the milage stays on the clock or is it in the car computer so if i change the clock will the milage change or will it remain the same? and second q is i dont have multifunction steering wheel but when i took down the airbag there is one plug extra that is free so i am guesing that all i need to do is to buy airbag with functions and plug it in and cruise control, and radio controls should work, or it shouldnt? :) I apologize for bad english :)
+Marko Ćulibrk You can retrofit the chrome rings on to your current cluster, look up the chrome ring add ons. Honestly I have no experience with non-function steering wheels, I would check the forums. If there is an extra plug I would guess it would be for the functions. As long as the other plugs from the multifunction wheel fit everything should work. Thanks!
Keep uploading content bro! You’ve saved me money and taught me everything about e46 interior removal !

@@ShopLifeTV I'm rebuilding a 330i and this has kept me from destroying so many plastic tabs in the dash.

your videos save me a lot of money, thanks :P
If you have a cd changer installed, you can even use that cable as pre-amp rca connection. There is an adapter for it.
Thanks your videos gave me the most info
Hey i need to remove that plastic cover wich is part of the front bonnet ejector, is there an "how to"?
I have a 323i e46 and I’m got a new radio. You mentioned the antenna adapter but what about the other cords?
Are the 2 tabs replacable that direct the airflow from the center vent module replaceable? If so, where can I purchase?
How do you access the ac central vent actuator. Mine is in the closed position permanently but I want to manually open it. How do I access it?
What is a preface lift ? When you were taking out the radio?
You didn’t show us how you took out the ashtray and the pocket that’s right above it. When you pulled out the air controls you pulled it out with one hand underneath it and one above.
Easiest gauge removal I ever seen xD

Thanks so much for replying.
In case the clips are broken where could I get them?
Do you have a link for ordering that antenna adaptor??? also, i keep wondering in all your vids, where do you get those black latex gloves?
I do not, but you can find them on ebay and amazon. I get the gloves from harbor freight
removed the hvac in this manner and it snapped the plastic housing of one of the wires connected to it, be careful if you’re doing this yourself.
