Yo, I have decided that I was gonna make some character spotlight shorts so that I didn't have to go out of my way to stop the video and explain some of the origins of who the characters are and how they came to be. Check them out if you have time. Here's the one about the Kraang: th-cam.com/users/shortsgFpU6gv18uE
I remember that Shredder's hatred literally doomed the Earth. He couldn't let his hatred go even in the face of a world ending threat from the Triceratons.
I bring this up a lot because I hear that Utrom shredder/Ch’rell is worse, which yes don’t get me wrong. He has billions to his body count, but they’re both comparable because they’ve literally tried to destroy the universe/world over they’re beef Like it’s not that deep
2012 Shredder is so goated. Not to mention so OP. I'll never forget seeing him solo both the Turtles and the Mutanimals AT THE SAME TIME. Dude was a freaking menace to society.
Honestly from that scene when he pleaded Teng Shen to take him back and that he was a different man from the one she once knew, I think it’s implied that he was toxic and so she left him. Even when he had her it doesn’t seem that he was happy or decent person. Honestly I wished we had episodes that show in full detail of Splinter and Shredder’s childhood together up until Tang Shen came into the picture so we see what kind of person he was Before their relationship turned into Bitter Rivals.
That’s why I like this version of their rivalry, splinter and shredder in this iteration aren’t that different, same skill ,same passion, same determination, the only thing that separates them is how each of them handled their hatred, while splinter decided to let it go and found peace ,shredder lived by hate and died by hate ,even when he was resurrected in season 5,once he got his mind clear ,he refused to go back to life ,because he no longer hates anything ,the person he hated the most is dead by his own hands ,without hate he lost his purpose
This man constantly targeted Leo whenever he got the chance. But man, I freaking love this version of Shredder. He’s insanely strong and had one of the best fights in the series. 2003 Shredder is fantastic, but 2012 is THE Shredder. He reminds me so much of Darth Vader and Garmadon, but on a more broken and hateful scale.
Shredder's hatred was so strong that he didn't care if he doomed the Earth and also didn't care if he loses his humanity. Shredder's rage, jealousy, and obsession were his biggest flaws and also what makes him very dangerous. His flaws is what caused him his common sense, his humanity, the foot clan, his friendship, his allies, Karai and any chances of having any peace. He let his flaws poisoned him to the bitter end. You can say that Shredder's story is a cautionary tale.
I swear, this version of the Shredder is petty af. Not getting the woman of his dreams is one of the many reasons why he decided to become evil, along with taking Yoshi's daughter to use as a weapon, and later in life dooming the entire Earth just so that he can get his revenge against Splinter by literally back-stabbing him.
Saki had reason to hate Yoshi as well as his/their father as his identity was kept from him. Though dooming the Earth to kill Splinter was extreme. Imagine hating someone so much that u happily doom the Earth just to kill this one guy
Honestly Saki should’ve hated Splinters father a lot more since he was one of the Hamato Ninjas that killed his family, Splinter was practically a baby when that happened and for all we knew Splinter did know the truth but didn’t care since he still sees Saki as his brother that he grew up with.
@@jamescadet4450 that makes more sense perhaps Saki could've killed his adoptive father Splinter finds out/sees this then he attacks Saki leading to the fire & Tan Shen's death
@@donathan2933 Actually no. He kinda is. İts just that his target got changed. İt was Ultroms first(more than 1000 year) than it becamr Turtles due to do they keep messing his plans.
That's basically the point: 2012 tmnt shows how hatred can lead to MORE hatred that's just toxic and self-destructive. He lost his face, the woman he loved, his brother, his humanity and sanity both at the same time, his honor, and even the daughter that wasn't his to begin with, all because he couldn't just let go of all that anger and find peace. Which funny enough was a lesson Splinter taught Raph early in the show which he took to heart and used to control his anger. Unlike Shredder.
This is the best TV or movie version of Shredder out there. There's a touch of tragedy and bad luck to him, and yet he ends up causing even more damage to himself and those around him than should be. Despite how powerful he is (and he truly is) and how in the right he thinks he is, he's his own worst enemy. He's so underrated!
10:05 yes he was orphaned as a child and basically neglected by his adopted father but taking it out on splinter wasn’t the way to go. He let his jealousy get to his sanity and that’s on him. No one else.
@@Ivanculina1 Sure, but he should've been the main villain. I also prefer Splinter to be Hamato Yoshi himself instead of a pet. It allows for a very personal backstory between the two rivals instead of one of them already being dead.
I know 2012 Shredder is evil, but imagine his evil was at the level of 2003 Shredder. Also even though I love 2012… 2003 Shredder has the BEST design hands down.
@feelgoodfandom5353 I think Shredder just isn't the "world domination" type of character, he's a personal villian. I luv 2012 shredder and every fight scene its so insane because he is literally beating the shit out of a bunch of 15 year olds who would be sophomores in high school
You know I am planning on a Shredder Fanfic. Or a different TMNT story where Shredder in that timeline who's jealous of Splinter having Tangshen and their child. But Shredder met another Woman on a Bridge, whom he saw sparks in her eyes as if the stars were in the Sky. This woman's name is Otsuru who was the only person who calmed Saki's rage and his jealousy and Obsession over Splinter and Tangshen. But over time they fated away. Where Shredder and Otsuru fell in love with one another and they also had a daughter named Karai. But I can picture a scene, where Shredder was just chilling beneath a Sakura Tree. And made her daughter a Flute. As he listens to her melody. And a flashback who gives his wife a necklace. But this story is a little bit darker than the Canon story. where a giant mutated turtle came and terrorized the Hamato household. But then the monster destroyed everything in its path. Including killing off Shredders family by the fire as the roof engulfed in flames killed them. So Shredders face was still burned. But the sad part was that he's family was gone. So he swore revenge on all Mutants of where they come from. And learns that Baxter Stockmans was the one who created them. I hope you might like this idea 😅

Hell Bro fought alongside the turtles to help save earth and killed splinter causing Earth to be destroyed, his hatred doomed Earth he makes reverse flashes hatred look like childs play.
The scariest thing about the Shredder is how his hatred towards Splinter got SO bad up to the point that he started to believe that all the lies he told were the truth
Shredder was jealous that Tang Shen chose Splinter over him & he wouldn't accept it. He blamed Splinter for her death, even though it was his fault. He did the same thing when Karai got mutated. He just couldn't accept his own failures and bad actions..
I strongly prefer Splintler being Yoshis pet rat. Making Yoshis death at the hands of Shredder being the catalyst for their families war I feel makes it more appealing
7:54 you gotta take into account concepts like kin selection and genetic similarity theory. Obviously being blood related doesn’t mean you’ll be close to someone, but logically speaking, being blood related could provide a better sense of kinship inherently. Not that it always does, but it can. I agree with finding kinship beyond blood relations though. I’ve got a huge family and a decent bunch aren’t directly related.
So when it comes to the love triangle Shredder is a bit justified to hate splinter, I mean that’s honestly really shitty of splinter to get with his brothers former lover even if shredder was in the wrong That’s literally one of the things you NEVER do
It’s not justified at all when you realize both them liked her at the same time and she liked both of them only thing is shredder lost her before when he told her “I’m not the man you once knew”, so he must’ve been a really horrible person while he and Shen were together and Shen left him for splinter someone who clearly wasn’t as bad as shredder.
2003 shredder hatred is up their he hated the turtles so bad despite knowing killing the original turtles will destroy him too he still was willing to destroy the mutiverse because he hated the turtles that bad.
