Vincenzo, I've never seen a dough like this before! It looks moist and wonderful! When fried, it reminds me of fried dough you see at carnivals here, but oh-so much better!!!! You did a great job videoing Nonna! The close ups and all the camera angles were stunning! You always go that extra mile in putting in the complete recipe in the notes! I appreciate it so much! Ho cercato ovunque la ricetta di una volta (per confrontarla con la mia) e l'ho trovata sempre e solo con burro e grappa e aggiunte varie, mi sono imbattuta casualmente in questo video e chi l'avrebbe mai pensato che l'avrei trivata oltreoceano da una fantastica famiglia italiana! La differenza con la mia è l'uovo, lo metto intero e ne metto 5🤔 (sono troppe?? Però sono buone lo stesso), e poi la dose di olio è 1 bicchiere emezzo come per il vino e aggiungo anche l'acqua ( 1 bicchiere scarso) ... di solito dimezzo le dosi perché ne escono tantissime

(my husband's grandma was italian but our family won't give up the recipes, lol) The crostoli - my grandfather who's polish, we called them angel wings or krischiki (spelling?) this is the closest I think I'll be able to come. I'm going to try your canoli's for his birthday in a couple weeks! Thank you for your videos and recipes!!

Here in Brasil we also have this, specially here in the south, where we have a lot of descendants of Italians. We also have a version of this but with cream (panna). It's very fluffy and after fried, we add sugar and cinnamon.
