Nona Gina...you are my life saver. Four months ago my husband died, two weeks later, fell down my stairs on my face with a concussion and brain bleed. When I get home from the hospital, my mother died. Too much grief and loneliness. But I found your program and it lifts my heart. Love cooking and watching you make such delicious looking dishes. But I only have me to feed so I freeze lots of food. Sometimes I give to the police who helped me on the day my husband died. Same with EMS and the firemen too. But too much grief. I need to watch and try the your recipes. You are so happy, God bless. My husband was from Scafia, Sicily. His mother gave me many recipes that he loved. But God bless you for helping me during this time. I even try to sing too and sometimes a little happy dance. You are very lucky to have lots of people to feed. It makes the heart happy. Love you, Nona.
May God watch over you and guide you through this difficult time. In my 84 years I too have been through "too much grief", but my love of God, my belief in the power of prayer and the love for my family keeps me moving forward. Please know that you are in my heart and in my prayers. God Bless You!

Nonna’s videos are always great. They bring me back in time and memory. My grandparents came from Calabria and Abruzze. Nonna’s accent, her baking, her cooking her singing - happy memories. Keep them coming Gina. And your camera man does a fine job!

It amazes me how well Gina tells her stories from Italy. I love hearing her memories. She’s got an incredible memory, both for events AND the words to the songs she sings. God I adore Gina’s ways.
I love when you share stories about your mother and your family. I also love watching all your videos , you remind me of my sweet Italian grandma Sarah that worked so hard in her kitchen and in her 60 acre field were she grew so many fresh vegetables which she sold to the local grocery stores to help feed our community. My grandma made bread everyday and at Christmas she would make wine cookies, fig cookies and so many other cookies and treats by the hundreds because our large family. She brought all that tradition and knowledge from Sicily Italy when her family came to America. She passed away before I had a chance to learn all that she had to offer. But I do know one thing is for sure; Italian women are truly the most hard working women on the planet. You warm my heart! I lived with my Italian grama until I was 8 yrs old. You remind me of her so much. She came to America in 1928. Those were hard times. She had 4 children and lots of grandchildren that she loved so much. Her cooking was wonderful and she used to sing like you. I love watching you cook and sing. You are leaving an important and warm tradition for your family. Amoure Gina!
Dear Nonna Gina, I pray your family realizes what a blessing they have in you. You remind me of my grandma so much I loved to sing with her when she cooked We made pasta together we made the gravy, See always bless the flour. her garden was her joy We used to go to sit in the garden to eat the tomatoes she would take the salt shaker in her apron pocket and we will go out and pick the tomatoes and eat them. She would sing Bella bambina to me. Keep singing Nonna Gina. Be happy stay well God bless you. I love to watch you cook and sing. I pray you stay well and happy forever.
Nonna Gina reminds me of a local Italian grandmother who owns her own restaurant and catering company. Although her children and grandchildren run the business now, Nonna Maria still comes in to visit with customers and occasionally even helps out in the kitchen where she is still the fastest meatball roller in the family. Viva Nonna Gina!
This Gramma is such a joy to watch. They had to do everything a certain way... Nothing like our Italian Grammas... Miss mine so much... She was such a piece of work, Gramma Rita.. 😢😂🥰
I was debating whether to watch this and then I saw the bottle of Strega. We come from Pietrelcina in italy. Benevento is our big city, and that's where they make Strega. Nectar of the gods!!
I really enjoy watching you. I miss my grandma and I'd give anything to have her on a video to keep an go back to when I wanted to. I love collecting Christmas cookie recipes from around the world as well to make with my kids and now my grandchildren. They enjoy it as well.

How lucky your family is to have you! When you started singing I was SO moved. I just love you Miss Gina and I love watching your lessons. God Bless and keep you!
You are the first italian Grandma to do all that work. I learned how to do this when I was a young girl with my nonna and my aunt. After her passing I did it every year for 50 years. You brought back good memories. God bless you and Merry Christmas. Much love to you and your family.🎅🎅🎅
I enjoy your cooking videos VERY much. Thank you for putting love and care into everything you cook. And a BIG thank you to your son for filming/editing and everything else involved in producing these wonderful treasures! ~Michele

Thank you Grandma Gina, for sharing all these wonderful old world recipes and your how to create them… Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and your beautiful family.
Your content is some of the best on TH-cam right now. I hope you continue to inspire viewers to make their dreams a reality. Life isn't easy, its work. You have to work for the one you want. God bless you and your family
Dear Gina, thank you for doing these videos. My great-grandparents came from Calabria and my nonna died in 1945, 21 years before I was born and nonno died when I was very little so I never knew them. My nana lived in New York, but we lived in Tennessee so I didn't get to see her very often. I never had the honor of having a grandmother teach me how to cook like generations before. My mother did as much as she could and her lasagna holds a special place in my heart. I love your video of the lasagna! I love hearing the stories about your family and hearing you sing. Thank you for doing what you do! God bless you and your family!~
I loved hearing the story about you and your brother and sister eating the sugar. That was a “sweet” story. I love seeing the happiness it brings you when you talk about your mom
My Nona made these cookies too and she also made one w/the same dough, that was stuffed, like a ravioli but bigger, w/a mixture of chocolate, figs & nuts, drizzled w/honey. I’ve got no idea how she made them bc they were stuffed but the dough was fried as well, it’s sad that no one ever learned how to make them, the recipe sadly went to the grave🥺 I think of my Nona always but especially at this time of year, she passed away on Christmas Day 1979, I was heart broken and still am bc I was robbed of having time w/her, my family moved to So. Jersey from So. Phila when I was 6, my nona remained in phila & I didn’t see her as often as I’d have liked to although when I was 12 I used to take the bus alone & visit her myself, I’d get in trouble for doing that but it was always worth the time we shared together. You’re such a wonderful soul, you remind me so much of my Nona and I thank you for sharing/teaching your recipes. Stay safe and blessed. Ti’amo♥️💫✨👼🏻✨💫♥️
I Miss my Italian friend, Angie, no other one like her !! God put me in her life a few years then right next-door to her she said I was going to miss her when she’s gone sugar was right. She would tell me all the stories in Italy and the depression she went through so many stories love you Angie, you’re just like my mother.
Merry Christmas Nonna Gina!! Watching your videos are worth endless smiles, love and likes!! I enjoy listening to your stories and watching you cook, as it reminds me of my Grandma. Great work everything looks pretty, festive and tasty!! Thank you and God bless you.
I stumbled upon this. I don't know how I missed it!!!! My nonna made these although her region of Italy had different names. I have never seen a recipe close to hers before. The only difference is she used whiskey instead of Strega and I believe it had an extra egg yolk. Thank you for the memory 💞💞

Gina is one of a kind love her so much wishing her many blessings and health.
I really enjoy watching you. I miss my grandma and I'd give anything to have her on a video to keep an go back to when I wanted to.
I love collecting Christmas cookie recipes from around the world as well to make with my kids and now my grandchildren. They enjoy it as well.

My grandma made mountains of these cookies at Christmas! She was from a small town in Calabria called Dipignano. ❤️
~Michele
I love hearing Gina’s stories when she was a little girl in Italy 🇮🇹 Love ALL Gina’s memories and her SONGS too! If she remembers the songs names that would be wonderful!

I never met my grandmothers on both sides. I am adopting Gina. 😉
Thanks for sharing her and her recipes with the world.
Wow. I wish I knew what she is saying. I love to watch her anyway. such energy, I wish I has a third of her energy, God Bless
It’s so beautiful watching this wonderful humble Nona, God Bless her, thank You for inspiring all of us viewers. XOXOXO
Grandma.. You remind me of My mother.. She cooked and sing just like you. Thank you for being so wonderful
your welcome
Her singing puts love in the food.
Love this lady!
Grandma Gina is leaving a wonderful legacy for her family. They will be watching these videos and enjoying her recipes for many years❣
Merry Christmas Nonna Gina!! Watching your videos are worth endless smiles, love and likes!! I enjoy listening to your stories and watching you cook, as it reminds me of my Grandma. Great work everything looks pretty, festive and tasty!! Thank you and God bless you.
The amount of work. Gina singing making the dough. She’s too precious. 🌹🤗😘
I stumbled upon this. I don't know how I missed it!!!! My nonna made these although her region of Italy had different names. I have never seen a recipe close to hers before. The only difference is she used whiskey instead of Strega and I believe it had an extra egg yolk. Thank you for the memory 💞💞

You remind me so much of myMother.....she was 1sr Italian generation born in US.... the baby of 7 brothers & sisters she learned to cook from a blind Italian grandmother..... like u she only used her basic tools didn’t use any of the new gadgets we bought her....I am the oldest of 4 ....have 3 brothers.... she taught my daughter and now I teach my granddaughters the “Italian “ way... u r amazing... thanks so much for all my happy memories of mom❤️👍💕🌴
I love the singing and the passing down of the recipies. I asume this is Ginas grandson filming which is lovely if so. Keep the recipies and traditions going
I believe it's her son in law. Her grandson is in college. Or was in college.
I love this Nonna, she reminds me of my Nonna Maria Carmela, the way she talks, sings, her heart. God Bless Donna Petitti, she's pure of heart and a sweet woman. Grazie Signora Bella, il Signore ti Benedice..Buon Natale cara.

Gina, adoro vederti in cucina. Sei una tale gioia da vedere. La tua famiglia è così fortunata da averti nelle loro vite. Dio ti benedica, cara signor. Oh, mi piace sentirti cantare.
Hi Gina! I just came back from Italy and was looking for recipes when I saw your videos. I have watched them all and love them. I just made the eggplant like you did. Even though I am a good cook, I can appreciate how you make them. God bless you Gina for your beautiful spirit and sharing yourself with everyone. You are an inspiration and joy to watch. You make me remember my mother and grandmother too! ❤️
Gina you bring joyful tears to my eyes with your recipes, you remind me so much of my own mother who was also born in Foggia although a different area called San Marco in Lamis, I miss her terribly. All the very best.
Love your sweet family! They help you share your awesome old world recipes and cooking techniques and precious family memories!
